Actually, you can do that at level 1 by buying a jetpack, either from the consignment house or in Firebase Zulu. If you want a free one, you can get it by doing missions after you hit level 5.

Then what should be? Given the context (an MMO), it seems to me that completion time should be the primary metric for rewards. What would you suggest instead?

You should start a new thread with your question, rather than hijacking a thread about a completely unrelated subject.

For anyone who doesn't know, if you do the Apex or Tin Mage TF without having your Alpha SLOTTED (not enough to just have the Alpha Slot), you will be fighting at -4. Therefore, you will fighting as if level 46 against level 54 enemies. Basically, you can't do the TF if you don't have an Alpha boost. Technically you can, but you'll be dead weight.

As for the +1 level shift, that would be nice, but it's not essential. I got the Master badges for both of these TF's before the level shift existed.

Anyway, I'll be there. Since we already have a tank and a rad, I'll bring Ironblade. My only toons with the level shift are a tank, a rad and Ironblade.

Oh, he can level to 50. There's just no point in visiting the trainers after level 46. Which is fine. Toggle Man thinks they're all punks because they set a terrible example for aspiring heroes - not one of them is running any toggles.

I hope they never EVER do that. Dark Astoria has more atmosphere than any other two zones combined.... well, except maybe the Shards. They're pretty cool too.

Of course, this point will be argued with, but it seems to be the hard, fast rule for most of the players I've interacted with in game. I'm sure this point will also be argued with.
Nice rant. I'm not going to argue with any of your statements, because they're not actually relevant. An AT (or powerset) can be fun without being "as good" as another AT or powerset. The characteristics you're looking for and what qualifies as 'fun' are different for every person. My PB is different from my other characters. I enjoy playing the character. That's all that matters. Some people don't like PB's. And some people don't like tanks or blasters or stalkers or whatever.

So, once again, your entire point is based on incorrect 'facts'. If you want to paint an obvious painting, put my quote in big block letters. Wait and see how the system actually works before you try to explain why it's broken.

Toggle Man is a Spines/Dark Armor Scrapper. But not a wuss about it, like all those other Spines/Dark Armor Scrappers. He took Lunge, because he had to. And he took Quills, because it's a Toggle, and he's Toggle Man. But as far as he's concerned, you can take the rest of those powers to the DUMP where they BELONG.

Oh, that's right. Toggle Man went there.

He went there, came back, and brought you a T-Shirt.

It says "I'm with Toggle Man, so you'd better Toggle On some RESPECT!"
Okay, perhaps TWO powers from the secondary.

Am I misunderstanding you, or do you think that there is a week where heroes have no WST and a week where villains have no WST? All the weeks that list TWO - one is hero and one is villain. All the weeks that list ONE - those are all co-op (i.e. heroes and villains teaming).

    Partner

Yeah.... here it is Friday and I've done Sister Psyche once and Silver Mantis once. When the WST was Kahn, I'd probably done it 10 times by Friday evening.

Frankly, though, I'd like to do the Silver Mantis SF a few more times. I really like it. But everyone seems fixated on Sister Psyche.

    Badge Tracker

    I use HeroStats and Badge-Hunter.com
(Mainly because I already had a badge-hunter account before the Titan Sentinel existed. I dunno if Sentinel is okay/good/better.)
  19. My only advice about khelds would be: don't go for all 3 forms. You won't have enough slots to focus on the important stuff. My warshade is human/dark nova and is level 50. My peacebringer is human/white dwarf and is currently level 38. She's currently 'on hold' along with all my other toons while my badger works toward the Partner badge (50 assists on the WST). Prior to that, she was leveling quickly and I enjoyed the character a lot. I've been using this pause to IO her to improve END management and get some global accuracy.
  20. Well, on my most of my characters, missing occasionally is okay. I will typically have around 35-45% accuracy in each attack plus maybe 20% global accuracy.

On my main character, Ironblade, that's not enough. Firstly, I play him more than any other toon. Second, he mostly plays high-end content. Finally, his primary is broadsword which has long recharge and high END cost. Therefore, he has:
    - approx 60% accuracy in every attack
    - 57% global accuracy bonuses
    - Kisment +to hit unique
    - Tactics
    - Focused Accuracy

I don't normally run FA. I save that for Paragon Protectors with Moment of Glory or Rikti Drones that have been bubbled by a Rikti Guardian. Then I turn on FA and beat them like a rented mule.

Yes. On two separate runs (one a Master badge run), we had individuals whom I know to be expert at single pulls and I had seen them do it numerous times before. They FAILED UTTERLY. Furthermore, they were surprised about it since they had done it previously using exactly the same methods.

Two runs is hardly a statistically valid sample but, yes, I've noticed this and have not seen it done successfully lately.
  22. Yeah, that's right! I was quoted by a redname to confirm what I was saying!

So, if your actually smart about it, youll leave ALL the higher level incarnets alone, take only the lower level ones (at most), and be 100% better than the guy with a 4 billion dollar build and all the teir4 incarnets.
THEY HAVE BROKEN THEIR OWN SYSTEM.
If you're actually smart about it, you'd learn how the system works before posting something completely wrong. The higher tiers give you more of a bonus which ignores ED limits. Your statement that stopping at the lower tiers would give better performance than the highest tier is demonstrably, patently false.
