Reupping my account with NCSoft...

This is a stupid question, I know.

I have my account set for 12-month billing. Said account expires in a few days. I would like to continue with 12-month billing.

If I do nothing, will NCSoft continue with 12-month billing, or do I have to do something to make it do so?

Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If you clicked on the "automatically renew"(i believe thats what it is called). It will Autorenew. If not you can cancel billing BEFORE it expires and then set it to 1 yr and it will bill when the current expiration date hits. You wont have a gap in service this way either.

Where did you find the "automatically renew" option? I just want to make sure I have no disruption in servcie.

Setup reacurring payments is only visable when you first setup the billing or you are adding more time, or reactivating AFTER it ran out. Only way to be "absolutley" sure is to "Cancel billing" then resubmit for yearly billing and be sure the radio button is checked for automatically reacuring payment. Do this BEFORE your current time expires to avoid a lapse.

I just did the same thing with mine and it billed me before the account expired so I know it works.

Warning, canceling to check may be a problem for the 7-year reward.

When you log into your account and go to Billing Summary. If you are on a subscription plan then it will show up in Scheduled Payments with type of plan and when it will be applied next. If you go into your Game Account Details (your game account) it will also show there in the account box.

As long as your payment info is still valid, it will automatically charge you. No need to do anything.

You should also check your card details - particularly the expiry date as if this has passed the renewal will fail - which is of course correct behaviour.

We were told by a redname (twice, if I recall) that it is not a problem. Even if your account actually LAPSES, as long as you reactivate on the same day it lapsed, it counts as continuously active.

And now for the official third time.....

If your City of Heroes account is deactivated and then reactivated within the same day, it should not impact your eligibility for the Seven Years of Super offer.

Though I would recommend that you not wait until the end of the day to do so, or wait several hours before reactivating. This may cause billing issues which could take unnecessary time and effort to resolve.

Something tells me that this Seven Years of Super offer is giving mister Pebble quite a bit of stress.

<Don Rickles>Good for you, you won a cookie.</Don Rickles>

The OP was asking if he had to anything to automatically renew and the next thing we get are people suggesting that he cancels billing so he can resubscribe to be sure. The thrust of my comment was you don't have to do that.

It's like saying you have a problem with Windows and people immediately suggest reformatting your drives and reinstall everything from scratch.
