I AM SPUTTERING WITH RAGE . . . oh, wait. The servers were back up in 45 minutes. Carry on.

Quote:You can convert shards to threads. You can get 10 for 10, once per 20 hours. You can also convert 10 shards to 5 threads as often as you like.2nd this. As it stands, 2 threads are kind of a joke for Apex & Tin, and the shard drops are largely worthless if your Alpha's at T4 already.
(There's also an inf fee for each conversion, but it's chump change.) -
Yes, but only if you were starting from SCRATCH. Since you already have a tier 3, you just need to work your way up the tree once more and get ANY OTHER tier 3. The tier 4 requires you to destroy two tier 3's to craft it.Quote:
So, my basic understanding is this:
To get Radial Paragon I need to:
* Buy Muscular Boost ( a 2nd time)
* Buy Radial Boost (a 2nd time)
* Buy Partial Radial Revamp
**THEN**
* Buy Muscular Boost (a 3rd time)
* Buy Core Boost
* Buy Partial Core Revamp
Is this correct? That's how it looks. Just when I thought I was making some progress... -

Well, I have around 60% accuracy in each power.
I have 57% global accuracy from sets (30% from purples, so I keep it down to level 1).
I have the Kismet +to hit unique.
I have Tactics (with 2 accuracy buff).
Overdoing it would be turning on Focused Accuracy. I HAVE it; I just don't normally run it. When facing Paragon Protectors conning purple and using Moment of Glory, THEN I turn on Focused Accuracy and beat them like a rented mule.
This is on the character I play the most and I do not like to miss (plus, he runs all the high-end content). Most of my other characters settle for 40-50% in each power plus 30-40% of set bonuses. -
Quote:It may have worked, but the old updater was a piece of junk compared to the new one.I want to make a snarky comment about this. It seems suspiciously like the game developers got the new updater crammed down their throat when the old updater worked perfectly well for the tasks it had to accomplish (a. update the updater when necessary, b. patch the game c. display a webpage, and d. launch the game.)
-
Also, once you send it correctly you will have INSTANT confirmation of that. The email will immediately show up in the mailbox of the character who just sent it, since it is claimable by ANY character on the account.
Yes, you can email from one character and claim it on the same one. This is frequently done when people want to have an extra supply of inspirations on hand before attempting a difficult task. -
By the way, after confirming that my Alpha power was NOT affecting my abilities, I checked enemy conning and it seems my level shift WAS still working.
-
Someone suggested in another thread that you probably have a badge with a button just like the veteran rewards. I haven't done it on any toons yet, so I can't say. Might want to look in your badge listing, next to the badge for completing the SF.

Quote:According to this thread:ALL the commons (Arcane, Biomorphic, etc)
ALL the uncommons (Cytolitic, Dimension, etc)
ALL the rares (Exotic, Ancient, etc)
ALL the very rares (Forbidden, Living, etc)
Is that correct?
"Actually, there is a fifth reward table. Which only gives Threads or a Super Inspiration.
Should have screenshotted it, but it exists - only seen it once though!"
Yes, they do.Quote:Follow up question: Do these new components sometimes just drop during the Trials? I think I have a couple I never crafted. -
Hope springs eternal.
When the devs introduce a new feature and subsequently decide it is too easy, the resulting 'fix' is seen as a nerf/insult/outrage/slap in the face/poor design/whatever. It leaves a sour taste and a lasting impression. As an example, I offer the Cathedral of Pain trial and the stance that the disallowing of Shivans and Warburg missiles was both a result of poor planning and a 'bad precedent'.
When the devs introduce a new feature and subsequently decide it is too hard, the resulting 'fix' is often greeted enthusiastically and seen as the devs listening to the players.
I speculate that the new trials are deliberately extremely hard, for one (or both) of two reasons:
1) People are intended to have a difficult time until the trial level shifts are reached by a reasonable portion of the players.
2) Better to be too hard at first and made easier than the other way around, for reasons outlined above.
Either way, I think we need to wait until more people are level-shifted. Conveniently, you can fail every run you're on (like I have so far) and still unlock the incarnate powers and slot them. -
Are you sure that's the preferred meeting spot on your server? On Infinity, the location for trials seems to be the Rikti War Zone, near Lady Grey.

Quote:I'm not sure what you mean. Assuming you mean either being flagged as Helper or Help Me just so that you have a different color name, I would think the answer is no.Is using the Helper/Help Me! system for vanity a reportable offense?
Yes, depending on the names. If they said, "Leave me alone, you clown." that doesn't seem reportable. If they said, "### off you #### ### ######." then they should be reported.Quote:At the same time. Is someone being rude to you for asking them to turn off their Help Me! flag to avoid further confusion, calling you names and so on a reportable offense? -
oops. Misread that. I meant 10 PM. I'll be at work at 10 AM. Never mind.

I would think a lot of people (like myself) don't care. I expect to be busy with the two trials and the two NEW task forces.
-
Even if there is an issue with that particular mission, it doesn't stop you from using the Ouroboros system and working on the badges. You aren't required to complete the introduction arc to use the Pillar of Ice and Flame.
-
Quote:Okay, that definitely is a reasonable concern. Just drop the whole griefing argument.I am actually trying to bring up a real issue. It is easy to misread/misunderstand the nature of the badges.
These trials are new AND more complex than most of the other content. On top of that, the conditions for the extra badges can certainly be confusing. Even after the Apex TF had been around for MONTHS, I still ran into people who were confused about the optional badges.
Having said that; at the moment, hardly anyone has a clue. Give it a month and we'll see how it shakes out. -
CPU is great.
Memory is same brand I'm using.
Some people don't like MSI. I built a system with an MSI motherboard and I liked the features and never had any problems.
My only issue would be the power supply. I feel that's the only component with the potential to fry everything else if it fails spectacularly. I stick with top name brands on that component. My favorite (3 builds so far) is Antec. Still, that's a really nice price overall. And the PSU is certainly powerful enough for a good video card. Having a higher wattage than you really need is a degree of insurance with a '2nd tier' manufacturer.
So . . . would I buy it? If my livelihood was going to depend on the up-time, no. If it wasn't going to be my only computer (I have 2 desktops right now), sure. -
Quote:I remember that. And now the standard tactic on many teams is to just bumrush him.Yes - it was thought to be just about impossible to defeat Romulus at the end when he had such powerful help from his 3 Nictus pets.
Wow, not even close. In fact, there is a badge for NOT using the acid. And a badge for NOT using the grenades.Quote:So basicly the whole Task Force/raid/whatever the hell you want to call it is only winnable if you manage to do 1 thing right. You must have the acids to close the portal within like 30 seconds of that stage of the trial beginnig. Otherwise you lose.
Yeah, great fricken idea NCsoft. As much as I applaud and approve of the Tin Mage and Apex TF's, I have to say BAF and Lambda just suck. -
And what is the point? The first time you post a negative review, it will get modsmacked.
-
Quote:There is not. She's not talking about Nightstar and Siege. The badge is for destroying a containment chamber and a weapon crate within 2 seconds of each other (in the Lambda trial).It's going to be luck of the draw on that one, of course, since there's not some kind of interface that tells you that each team has engaged a destructible object,
My impression: you'll get this one without even trying. It was the first trial badge I got.
