Avengers certainly did that for me. As well as Iron man. Not so much Batman.

So, I never got to fight the seed of Hamidon (was on hiatus when it first came out, my son was just born.) and it is on my Bucket list of things to do before the game goes.

Well, my fire/kin can tank 52 bosses on AE missions (with purples of course), and I don't have fighting as a power pool. However, I made this toon to be very versatile: to solo or work on teams. I primarily made her for Master SFs and the such; however, she is very effective for farming.

Let me check out my numbers:
Defence (all except Psionics): 12%; Psionic 26%
Resistance: all capped at 75%
Haste (including hasten): 149%
ToHit: 92%
Accuracy: 63%
Damage: 235%
KB Protection: 8
Status Resistance: Hold 28%; Stun 20%; Sleep 69%; Confuse 133%; Fear 81%
Debuff Resistance: Perception 52%; Recharge Time 20%; Run Speed 20%

I took Soul Mastery. I wanted the pet. With kinetics as my secondary (and my bonus sets), my pet is perma. The shield is nice since it gives negative resistance as well smashing and lethal. Plus I needed something to put a steadfast protection set in (5% def to all & kb protection). I got the power boost (one-slotted) for increasing my heals on AVs. =D

Disclaimer: I built my fire/kin for SFs not solo-ing AVs.

Actually, you can still be "doing your job" and have a teammate (usually a brute or tank) ask for sb that is already on him or her. This is usually when the tank/brute is fighting mobs or AVs that -rech. Say the brute/tank is rounding up a bunch of red or blue ink tsoos, wonder why s/he is moving slow and then look to the /kin for clarification or as cause. Hmm, sb must have worn off, right? lol

Ahh, well I will definately have to change that. Thanks Garrot! That particular toon is on Protector of which I don't really play anymore, so I doubt I'll change it right now. Thank you for the heads up though!!

I have no problems killing Heroes in RV with an ice/cold. I have a rad/cold on another server, but it is not spec-ed for PvP. With the right bonus sets and builds you can achieve quite a lot. Everyone can point out how ice has changed and been nerfed, etc., or how effects, in general, have changed in PvP, but it still works for me and others I have seen. *shrugs*

Of course on the other hand all of those set bonuses I suggested as giving an edge also give others resistance to said ice or cold damage (as well as Fire). Perhaps I am just very lucky.

I do not have a dark/cold so I cannot say how it would do in PvP. My dark/rad corr does OK, but I guess because of *my* playstyle and familiarity, I like my ice attacks on my cold over rad or fire. (That and I'm lucky since I guess on Virtue I only pvp against 8 year olds ...with severe carpal tunnel & ADHD!)

On a side note, PvE-wise, I love Fire/* and Dark/* as primaries for corrs.
