I predict that if/when base love does come down the pipeline, it will be PvP oriented, not Architect oriented. They have yet to show that they can treat both aspects with equality.

Quote:Interesting. I haven't actually upgraded a plot in some time, and when I did I usually had quite a bit of financial padding, so didn't really notice that little quirk. The spending comes before the refund. I wasn't allowed to upgrade the plot until I had the entire price available, not just the difference.
Thanks for the clarification. -
Quote:This applies to the Base size plots from 12x16 to 20x20.Fortunately, base plots of the same size cost the same, whether hidden or secure.
Secure plots 20x24 and up do cost a little more than their hidden counterparts.
Per PlasmaStream's i13 List of Base Costs:
Quote:Plot
NOTE: that to recoup plot costs you can 'buy' the existing plot you are on and receive the difference. This does not refund rooms only the cost of the plot.

Quote:True, technically you "get it back", but then since you're turning around and spending it on the new plot, what you may see reflected in your final prestige number is the difference between the old and the new. Thanks, I knew I'd heard it somewhere, just needed to clarify!

Has anyone been having issues with their targeting reticule when using TP Self?
I don't use it on any of my toons, but an sg mate was complaining about the darn thing not seeming to work correctly, especially when in a small or odd space (like on stairs). The reticule would apparently "catch" the edge of the stairs and not move beyond them.
I told him to take a screenie and put in a bug report, but thought I'd check here to see if anyone else had been having any problems with it. -
Quote:That's probably because you are a terrible person who makes arachnids orphans.
yes yes.... I quite understand...
*hangs head*
Quote:Honestly, I don't remember our past disagreements, and I thought your post about wolf spiders was interesting. I did think it was obvious that my statement was ludicrous enough to obviously be a joke.
I'm sorry about the tinfoil comment, but when people start telling me what I'm really thinking and saying, it's kinda annoying, you know? How would you react?
For more interesting bug info, check out this website ... originally started as an art project! -
Quote:Frankly, I was wondering if that was the stance you were taking with me...That was my first reaction. Is this some kind of joke? a troll? a game?
I thought you might have been joking, but given that we've not exactly seen eye to eye in the past, I wasn't sure.... so I gave you an opening to clarify (lol, wut?).... but you didn't...
so. Looks like misunderstandings all around. I will note, however, that I never resorted to namecalling. -
Quote:Is this some kind of performance art? Some kind of joke?
Anyway, yeah, I picked your comment because the image that came to mind amused me. If you honestly think that I was really truly calling you a terrible person, and that my post was in all seriousness, well...I guess this is a thread marked by a high tinfoil content, so might as well throw your own in, you know?
roflmao!
backpedal much? -
So, you ASSUME that I, myself, have actually stepped on a wolf spider bearing its young?
You of course did not consider the possibility that what I said was a WARNING that I might have heard from another friend who had done so... which is, in fact, the case. It was one of several bits of advice I received when I first moved to the desert (along with lots of info about snakes, scorpions, cicadas, cockroaches, lizards, black widows, brown recluse, etc.,.).
Here's the thing.... the tangent about spiders was all in humor... heck, I even brought my comment slightly on topic by referencing the "bugginess".
PS: Kali, don't think for a second that I am oblivious to the significance that you picked MY comment in particular to respond to in such a negative manner... too bad you didn't amend it as joking when given the chance. -
I've always found Mad Scientist's Spreadsheet to be a handy little helper. The prestige costs are old, but the power/control requirements and other notes are very helpful.
-
Also, be aware that recipe drop rates are bugged right now.
There IS a fix in the pipeline and the rumor is that it will be included in the next patch. -

Quote:And whatever you do, DO NOT STEP ON A WOLF SPIDER... especially early summer. They carry their young on their backs... step on them, and a bazillion baby spiders go skittering every which way.The terror would have doubled if it's a wolf spider (who are the big bad boys of the spider world in the UK and who barely fit under a pint glass used to trap them).
talk about "buggy"
>.<

Quote:Interesting thought... I guess the way I figure it, you'll be spending the same time either way; either loading onto the train or traveling across a zone (depending on your 'puter). *shrug*I prefer Independence Port for University access - if your load times aren't too long, taking the conveniently located train to Croatoa seems to be the fastest way to get to the University. Because of the proximity to the train, the IP beacon point is probably the single most useful higher-level beacon. Quick trip to Founder's Falls, where the Vanguard building is right next to the train; Talos, Wentworths is right next to the train; Croatoa, the University is at it's closest point to the green line. Talos itself isn't too bad, but if I had to choose just one I'd go with IP.
Both IP and Steel have the benefit of a Tailor in zone as well. -
I would add Steel for University access as well as Midnighters Club/Cim/FF/Croatoa access.
(or FF or Croatoa for same reasons depending on how you like the beacon dropoff points) -

Quote:lol. funny.I can't tell if you are joking or not, cause this sure doesn't seem to be something to get all up tight about. If you play on Pinnacle, and you level up, send me a tell and I'll run you over 1 of each large inspiration until this is fixed
missing the point completely...
but funny.
As I've already explained in this post, I'm not uptight about it. I'm just expressing my opinion and the reasons for it. My statements may be simple and straightforward but, rest assured, there is no nerdrage going on here. -
-
Quote:What exactly is your point?
No, I'm saying every time the game patches, the potential for game-breaking renews, and the bigger the patch, the bigger the chance for breakage.
For the record, neither I nor anyone else has made the claim that this bug is "gamebreaking". But rather that this is an extremely annoying bug that presents a certain level of inequality in gameplay and should get attention.
The argument that it shouldn't get attention because it's not "gamebreaking" is a strawman's argument, since all bugs at this point would not be considered "gamebreaking". If there were any "gamebreaking" bugs, there would have been some serious patching/rollback by now.
You seem to have fixated on persuing this as some sort of debate with me. I have no idea why. I've stated my opinion, given my reasons, and am not interested in engaging in this silliness any further. -

What six times?
The post that Obscure Blade is referencing was posted by Synapse at 6:09 pm Pacific time, Sept. 24. (today).
The only posts in this thread after that time is Obscure Blade, yourself and Bookeeper Jay.
This is a NEW post by Synapse saying that they found the bug and a fix is in the pipeline for the test server.
