When buying bigger base plots do I get back the prestige I paid for the previous plot?

For some reason I remember reading or hearing that when u buy a larger base plot you get back the prestige you paid for your previous smaller base plot. Is this correct? Or have I got that wrong?

Regardless of whether you are expanding or shrinking, you get back the cost of the old plot when you buy a new one.

True, technically you "get it back", but then since you're turning around and spending it on the new plot, what you may see reflected in your final prestige number is the difference between the old and the new.

The spending comes before the refund. I wasn't allowed to upgrade the plot until I had the entire price available, not just the difference. Unless there has been a change to it in the last month or so.

Interesting. I haven't actually upgraded a plot in some time, and when I did I usually had quite a bit of financial padding, so didn't really notice that little quirk.

I just upgraded my Hero base. I had all the required Prestige, an was refunded for my previous base. But now when I look at Edit base its says I'm in the negative prestige. But Super Settings says I am not. Any help ???

Known issue. You have the prestige, that's not a problem. Sometimes the editor doesn't catch up immediately. You need to get out of the editor at least; occasionally you have to zone out of the base and back in for it to recalculate properly. A few people have said they need to log out and log back in. One or two folks have been lucky enough to just buy or sell an item in the editor and have it recalculate there, but not enough to make it a consistent thing.
