There is a new option in your "User CP", under the "Networking" heading... check it out.
. -
It's been requested in many different ways.
We'd also love to be able to access the storage from the base crafting tables and empowerment stations.
Not holding my breath, though.

Quote:Exactly. They aren't a package deal. You can have an Arcane Teleporter without having the GC Beacon attached.
Yes, the GC Beacon requires that you have the Teleporter for it to function, but the Teleporter doesn't require that you have the GC Beacon.
Another analogy might be like a light bulb and a socket; two separate items that connect for functionality.
If you get a pack of bulbs and one of them doesn't work, but the others do, you have a defunct bulb. If none of the bulbs work, you likely have a defunct socket.

Quote:They are not a "package deal". They are separate items that can connect.Technically the two are a package deal, so there is no way to know which is issue. It probably is the beacon, but I can't isolate it to test that.
If all the other arcane 'porters are working with the other arcane beacons, and GC is the only one not working correctly, then it is the beacon that is the issue.

A-Angel, your vitriolic wall 'o text rants do not impress me.
You still have not learned how to present a discussion in a manner that doesn't include insults and derogatory statements. As a result, I wouldn't be surprised if the Devs, like myself, have simply decided to tune you out.
. -
To be a little more clear, it would technically be the arcane beacon that is not working correctly... not the arcane teleporter itself.

The O-crystal is the First Ward Beacon... duh.

same issue
Was able to log into my NCSoft master account, and obviously able to get into forums, but not the game.
Also, logged into game earlier in the day, but now it won't let me in.
EDIT:
Logging out and re-launching seems to have re-set it. Thanks for the tip.
Still wondering if anyone else has had this happen, and if it's one of those new "quirks" we'll be dealing with.

AFIK, using multiple emblems for banners was always a feature, not necessarily a bug or workaround.
The biohazard emblem issue is on the list to get fixed.

Actually, I started a thread in the base forums back at the beginning of this year to address the question of whether base builders would be willing to start from scratch.
Overall, it was a mixed response, but generally folks said that if there was a way to keep their legacy bases but start new ones with a completely new system, they'd be on board with that.
If there was no way to keep the legacy bases, most folks conceded that as long as they got the prestige value for the old base, they'd be willing to start again. However, there were a few who felt that it would be a deal breaker.

Count me in as someone who hates the new "tutorial" as well.
A "tutorial" is supposed to be a teaching mechanism.
This thing doesn't teach squat.
It should not even be considered a "tutorial".
In my beta feedback, I listed all the things I learned by level 2 in the old tutorial, and compared them to the new... Frankly, there is no comparison. And using 20 levels worth of missions to "fill the gaps" is pathetic.
I hate this thing too.
Horrible implementation.

As was explained to you in the Base Builders Forum, this has been a longstanding request by the base building community.... The BIG List is a compilation of community requests since 2007.
While options are always nice, they are not always possible. As with many people dealing with changes, folks will have to learn to adapt.

Quote:fix'tThen, I'm glad the community got their request for alphabetical sorting fulfilled.
It was not my personal request.
The list is a compilation of longstanding community requests since 2007.
The list wasn't even started by me, I'm just the one who has been updating it recently.
As with many changes, people will have to learn to adapt. -
Quote:This is not a bug.- In storage containers (salvage racks and enhancement tables), the order in which items were listed was changed.
While it didn't make it into the Official Patch Notes for i21, it was mentioned in one of the Beta Patches.
Quote:Bases - Fixed a memory leak in the base construction interface which was causing users to crash out after extended periods of time spent editing a base.
- Base storage container contents are sorted alphabetically.

If you only have one toon in it, yes.
If you have more than one toon, yes, but I believe the red star will be passed to another toon....
disclaimer: I've not tried this for myself.
. -
Well, at least the logo issue did (finally) make it to the i21 known issues list, where they do say they will be working on fixes for those particular problems.
Now we just need to get them to look at the base item vet rewards...

There are a lot of things in this game that are "legal" or "within game limits" but are still considered griefing; kiting GMs into PI square leaps to mind.
Just because something can be done, doesn't mean it should be done.

Quote:You mean like what NT described?....being certain about malicious intent is pretty much impossible barring a /tell from someone saying "neener neener, got your name".
Quote:I saw a number of people that were gloating about doing it on Exalted the first night. Yes, saying so out loud in chat....
You could also see all the namegrabbers by the gray-generic characters that were appearing and logging off right away at the base of the stairs.Quote:Sometimes we get tunnel vision regarding the motivations of others, especially when their actions cause us a lot of grief.
It could easily be proven that the person(s) that did this were targeting specific "well known" and "high profile" names. If their accounts are full of such names, that is proof of griefing, and it should be addressed by the GMs/Devs.
. -
Quote:Eep Eep apparently targeted several "well known" names... some literally within minutes of the server going up, and before it was officially announced as up.Within a few hours of Exalted going online, @Eep Eep grabbed Zombie Man.
They can have it. I don't plan on having multiple ZMs or moving ZM to Exalted (permanently).
But if I ever get an offer to buy it, I'll file a /petition that I'll escalate to Korea if I have to in order to punish name claim jumpers. -
Quote:Right, because it couldn't be possible that a paying customer would purposely change their global to "@Trial85023"... not with the extra global name change that was handed out....
Or that a paying customer would *gasp* purchase a second account, even temporarily, just for such nefarious purposes...
... inconceivable!

Quote:Thank you for answering the question that was asked, and not anticipating or presuming my reasoning for it (asking my reasoning and presuming are two different things in my book). The answer is no, it operates exclusively on paragon points. Is there a specific reason you would not want to buy points with your credit card and then use them. If nothing else, you do realize you get Paragon Reward Tokens for purchasing points ($15 = 1 reward token).
Among the reasons for using points is that NCSoft doesn't have to process lots of tiny card transactions for individual items which can contribute to fraud alerts and also increases the cost of processing.
I understand the reasoning for "bulk" points purchases, and the bonus reward point is a nice carrot. Avoiding small transactions is also understandable.
But frankly, I don't feel the need to justify the way I choose to spend my money... let's just say, I like OPTIONS. I think it would be nice to have the OPTION to simply pay "cash" for transactions of/equivalent to a certain dollar amount. I do not like the feeling of being pigeon holed. It may seem "irrational" to some, but there ya have it.
