    Inspirations

On the squishies yes, those with mez protection are on their own ; ). And all PvPteams brings break free's even if they have superb empaths. Thing is the empath might die so we have BFs as back up, but while the empath is alive they can keep about 4-5 people covered.

    I'm the best!

I would go for the highest score but I cant get any fights.

    Brute Tactics?

Depends on your build and powerpools.
  5. [ QUOTE ]
CoH/V isn't rocket science, you'll never beat a good (keyword: good) EM/SR stalker with a archery/fire blaster without tactics. Check the sig of some pvpers and you'll probably find many of what I'll list under, yet they'll say it's only skill that wins battles because it makes them feel good.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well like I have said in a lot of posts, its mostly skill. But build does matter alot, its what gives you an edge against others of equal skill. If skill didnt matter how come I can beat all the other ice / nrg blasters on defiant with no problems?, even those with builds close to my own.
I can beat most scrappers with my ice / nrg, but Nightbringer(ma/regen) gets me everytime. Is it his uber build? or is it because he is better than other the scrappers I have fought?. I say its an understanding of how the game works and how to bring the situation into his favour. Both our builds have been posted on these boards and people are free to use em.

Lecxe what is skill? For me an unexperinced player is the one who stands still after he has seen a blaster using BU and AIM comming straight to him. Lots of examples like this, its what makes the best players, the tweak the game into their favour. Attacking when its good for them and running when it isnt. Again it isnt rocket science but most people dont do it.

About your first builds, what about hot feet that will reveal the stalker. I say the money are on the Archery / fire blaster in warburg and later, if he makes a good build.

    I'm the best!

Well I sure as hell wouldnt fight him, he is very very good.

[edit]Wait its a challenge, but Im sure Im gonna loose.

Sounds great, IMO the more the better. Gives me more people to kick right in the....And I like kicking people.
  8. Seriously the main reason for this power in the PvE game is its res debuff and since you cant slot for -res(no power can) you have to slot for recharges to have it up more. This power can increase the damage from the team alot, more when you get the defender version and the controller get their own version back.

    Regen Stalker?

    [ QUOTE ]
I think regen is good for a PvE stalker. My EM/regen does (in PvE at least) much better than my ninja/ninja did at the same levels.

It might not be as good in PvP when compared to other sets, or might be inferior to a regen scrapper, but it's still a good set.

EDIT: Than again, defense is to get a boost in PvE, so who knows...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well you have a much better primary for PvP so I would guess that your new toon will be better in PvP aswell as PvE.

Knockback is a bit annoying with the Kinetics heal.

Blasters & Kinetics don't really go too well since the heal is centered around the mob. Unless they're Blappers of course.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And how would you make a great nrg / nrg blaster without taking energy punch, bonesmasher and total focus and thus becomming a blapper. Blasters cant get enough damage any more just from their primary.

Believe me kin would prolly be the best secondary. Given that your duoing I would say mind / kin is the best build you can make.
  12. Some loose thoughts:

Half of the people comming to the raid have no clue of what is going on, so I suggest between each fase you stop and explain what we are doing next and why. Maybe dedicate arround 10 people to answer questions.

Because buffs causes lag, I suggest only using AM and if that isnt enough SB and AB. There should be no reason to use anything else until hamidon is held. Then I suggest using rads for EF and LR, everything else should be just attacking or holding. RA is not needed for endurance at all if we have 4+ AMs and I seriously doubt we can do it with less than 6 AMs. Also controllers with powerboost should use it when ever it is up. The hami tank during the holding fase should be a tank using taunt, its important the tank has a stable computer and connection. Try to keep the tanks with a hold during the holding fase in a seperate group, because if the hami tank looses aggro the aggro will automaticly go for these instead of the main group cause of gauntlet.

    Sing

Problem is, it can't really tank since it likes to move back to behind you no matter where you drop it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And you cant really force it to go where you like. Conclusion is yes sing can tank, but you cant make it tank.

    [/ QUOTE ]Recall Friend?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Takes too long. If I had all day in teams to do the mission, yeah I guess you could make a sing tank, but I cant find any fast practical way. And how does recall friend make the sing to somewhere not close to you?
  14. Its not really a PvP build. You have way too many tricks and not enough damage or not enough tricks and too much damage. PvP is about specialising into doing 1 thing really really well. For this build either consentrate on being support or being damage NOT both.

There is alot of slotting errors(if your going for min/max), the biggest one is the one deluge pointed out, you need 2 acc in all your attacks.

You also need the 2 toggle droppers if you plan to PvP.

You also have way too many PvE powers if your going for PvP.

You allmost need CJ if your using SS as your main travel power, SS doesnt have enough ground control. Being a squishie blaster means moving alot.

For a PvP blaster take swift, hurdle, stamina and skip health. You cant notice the regen in PvP.

    Your questions

    1) would this build be able to drain the endurence off of a brute/corruptor in pvp fast enough for them to not flatten you?

    No

    2) would the damage output be good enough to take out a brute quickly before anybody else which might be teamed up with them to get there? say 3 minutes?

No, not if the brute is any good.

    3) is there enough accuracy in the build so that i dont miss the enemy every single shot?
    No, 2acc in all attacks.

Or Germans, French or a group of people. Anything will do really, we can bring about 8 people on a short notice and more if we can arrange a time with a later date.

If we cant bring that many we dont mind fighting outnumbered.
  16. Bah, do it on test server. I would love to fight and I know there are plenty of defiant people who PvPs. If we could have 1 night on test every week Im allmost sure the turn op would be enough to have some decent fights.

  19. If you going for ice as your primary go with nrg as you secondary unless you like consepts. Nrg is better for PvP.

Personally I would prolly take mind / nrg for the best PvP build, cause Telekinesis is quite nifty.

    DONT RUN AWAY

In sirens I can kill a stalker with BU and defiance from AS with just my two ranged attacks ice blast and bitter ice blast. Yes I do run so I dont get the next attack that will kill me, but not far because Im also trying to kill the stalker
  21. Just say a time and those of us who can make it will be there, we dont mind being outnumbered.
  22. If there is serious PvP Im there, so I guess this is another please fight the PDs.

[...] Another example, there was a sonic / sonic defender in sirens some days ago. His conclusion was the the build was [censored] for PvP, but the person never saw how big a difference his buffs made when he used them on me. Now the question is did he make a bad build for PvP - No he just didnt understand that his role is as a support toon and not a person who gets the kills. If he had decided to skip most of his attacks and only took support tools, he could have teamed with me and we would have kicked the [censored] out of the others together. [...]

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I can see how having taken "Sonic Cage", "Disruption Field", "Clarity" and "Sonic Repulsion" instead of the attacks would have increased my own survivability immensely... no, wait - I can't (aside from "Sonic Cage" maybe... but then again not). Paragon Popidol is L22 and you don't get "Sonic Dispersion" until L26.

Besides, she's a (solo) offender build for PvE... taken into PvP during a moment of boredom.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sonic Dispersion for a defender is lvl 12 mate and sonic Sonic Repulsion is lvl 18. Clarity is lvl 26, so I didnt expect to have this one, but it would have been cool cause I could see stalkers that way. Defenders cant survive on their own in PvP, the team provides protection.
  24. Next time I make a new toon Ill take a "gimped" one. The reason PvPers take good builds is to compete with eachother where builds really do matter. But I can take 95% of the people out there with a quite gimped build, I just cant take the other real PvPers.

Here a challenge for you. Find 8 people with pure PvP builds and let em fight the PDs in Warburg. We will take 5-6 people and we wont take our PvPbuilds but just our first lvl 50. These toons arent gimped for PvP but none of the sets can be considered uber if you really know PvP.

Another point, often you can give a uber build like mind / rad to a bad player and he wont beat my ice / nrg. But give a mind / rad to a PvPer and he will beat me 15-0. Powernova has fought many blasters on his fire / storm, Im the only blaster that has beaten him and I beat him without even breaking a sweat because I knew how to do it, most people dont know the game well enough to do it.

Another example, there was a sonic / sonic defender in sirens some days ago. You have to know what your build can do and cant. A tank fx. should be on "aggro" control spamming taunt on everything cause only EM tanks(and that lvl 38+) have enough damage to really make a huge difference. This toon will not do well outside teams but in teams he can keep people alive long enough to let his team get kills.

You just have to learn what I can do and cant and when you find out what you can do, be the best at doing just that. PvP works in teams there are only few builds that can solo good. If most villains really knew PvP they would understand that the backbone of teams should be made of corruptors who is by far the best PvP toon from the villain side. Corruptors however needs teams to back em up.
