coz i managed to put this in the defender forum for some reason.. i shall now post it where it should go.

arighty, i have a few questions which i would like to ask so that i have an idea of how it would work. as some of you may know, i like to think about pvp builds and how they can be changed to be more brutal, so it hit me. elec/ice. my thought is if you can get out good damage, get rid of all of your enemies toggles and be able to hold them, you could just about defeat anybody. electic blast has the end drain, so the enemy hasnt got enough end to attack or keep toggles up. ice manipulation has holds and slows and has presentable damage output and electric blast also has enough damage in it to take out the enemy fast, and here is the build:

01 : Brawl enhancement(01)
01 : Sprint enhancement(01)
02 : Rest enhancement(02)

now, my questions are;

1) would this build be able to drain the endurence off of a brute/corruptor in pvp fast enough for them to not flatten you?

2) would the damage output be good enough to take out a brute quickly before anybody else which might be teamed up with them to get there? say 3 minutes?

and..

3) is there enough accuracy in the build so that i dont miss the enemy every single shot?

I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender

End drain is pretty much useless in PvP beet That's the theory behind Stryke Force, but it just isn't viable as the effects are pretty much negated as soon as you enter the arena or a PvP zone. And with regards to accuracy... You'll need at least 2 accuracy slotted as PvP base accuracy is lowered to 50% and then you'll find you'll miss a bit due to the defences or certain AT's.

Its not really a PvP build. You have way too many tricks and not enough damage or not enough tricks and too much damage. PvP is about specialising into doing 1 thing really really well. For this build either consentrate on being support or being damage NOT both.

There is alot of slotting errors(if your going for min/max), the biggest one is the one deluge pointed out, you need 2 acc in all your attacks.

You also need the 2 toggle droppers if you plan to PvP.

You also have way too many PvE powers if your going for PvP.

You allmost need CJ if your using SS as your main travel power, SS doesnt have enough ground control. Being a squishie blaster means moving alot.

For a PvP blaster take swift, hurdle, stamina and skip health. You cant notice the regen in PvP.

Your questions

1) would this build be able to drain the endurence off of a brute/corruptor in pvp fast enough for them to not flatten you?

No

2) would the damage output be good enough to take out a brute quickly before anybody else which might be teamed up with them to get there? say 3 minutes?

No, not if the brute is any good.

3) is there enough accuracy in the build so that i dont miss the enemy every single shot?
No, 2acc in all attacks.

If you truely want a pvp build then Tactics tends to be a must (most enemy use stealth or invis so you need to be able to see them let alone hit them). Also you need a couple of accuracy enhancers in each of your attacks. My main pvp toon at the moment is a Lvl 40 ss/inv Brute called Undead Hulk and he hass accuracy enhances in each attack, rage, +Acc from invincibility AND tactics. He can hit no probs thru stealth/invis, hurricane or whirlwind but still has probs with rads or katana scrappers (Once their defense is built up its miss city).

No. You need to ensure you have plenty of damage output because end drain and slows won't save you alone or help you take down a decent Brute before they can pound your face into the ground or have you running.

I solo alot with Hulk but you will have enough to worry about with him - unless you have a good team. I generally wade into teams and will focus on you till 1 or both of us is defeated and if I can get any more of your team I will.

I have taken Undead into Warburg against 2 ill/kin trollers (Seperate occasions) and even though they both drained my end to the point all my toggles dropped and slowed me to a snail pace they didn't have the damage to defeat me even all pets blazing. I beat them both 3-0. A 1 on 1 with another ill/kin proved fatal for him too.

Basically get all the damage you can coz Brutes don't go down easy and for me knockout blow with its ace damage and hold is a killer and gives me either time to get my toggles back up or finish you off.

You can never have eough acc. You definitely haven't slotted enough accuracy imo. With all the acc debuffs you need 2 acc slots plus tactics and that still won't be enough at times. As I said even Undead Hulk has had problems against rads and katana scrappers.

As for elec - I have a force field/elec defender and without acc u will struggle getting thru pff but from my pov elec doesn't drain enough/do fast enough damage to be fast enough unless in a team. 2 elecs together is fun tho hehe

ice is the worst secondary for PvP. PvP is always for /nrg and /elec does great to.

In PvP blasters are all about the damage no fancy tricks they have low hit points, they have to kill things fast no point in fancy tricks against a scrapper you need a high damage secondary so you hurt from range and in melee thats why /nrg and /elec do so well.

try an ice/elec blaster if you want to keep the same kind of drain/slow concept.
