Can I do without accuracy enhancements?

Is it possible to do without accuracy enhances in a build for pvp and pve if running targeting drone and tactics both 3 slotted with to hit buffs? Aim will also be up as often as posssible to help so would this be viable?

The build is an elec/dev build so feasible without accuracy enhances?

I feel this would be a bad idea in pvp due to the fact that base accuracy is droped from .75 (75% to hit even lvl opponents) to .5 (50%) Even with the inherant accuracy of the AR powerset I intend to put at least 1 acc SO in my attacks with Tactics and Targeting drone running.

PvE you should be fine though.

@Unthing ... Mostly on Union.

I don't know. One of the most irritating things that happens to me is when i throw every blast i have at my target and they all miss

Pre ED this might have been a good idea so you could 6-slot a power with damage enhancers, however after ED thre is really no point in not slotting a couple of +accs.

I really should do something about this signature.

with my AR dev in pve I need no accs in the attacks, TD takes care of it all, PvP... AR=suicide... as for elec, its great in pvp but devices aren't suited to taking on other people as they tend to be slow.

Yes you can. I have done so for a while now with no problems

I'm currently having little problems in PVE with an archery secondary on my def - only 2 acc slots allocated on 2 attacks, one each. First attack isn't slotted with acc at all, and the rate of fire makes up for any shots I miss, not having trouble with even level mobs though.

As well as the things already covered here I'd be a wary of reactivation time after you've been mezzed.

That's 10 seconds of poor aim before you can start to bring TD back up, 15 seconds (i.e. 5 seconds more after TD's available) for Tactics, plus the 5-ish total seconds you'll be tied up with the activation animations themselves.

In a mezz-heavy fight turning things back on again and again could get to be a real pain (ask my Empath, who had 3 leadership toggles at one time).

FWIW Aim is 90 seconds recharge (45 with 3 white SOs), 10 seconds active, so I wouldn't count on that being ready to go to cover the toggle recharge time.

With Ranger Emily (AR, which is fairly accurate anyway) I use one slot of ACC on each attack in case of toggle dropping. Keeps hit rate well over 50% for those first few if I get stunned and rarely miss with TD back up and running.

TBH, when some people think about DPS, they don't factor in that any missed damage from an inaccurate power is wasted.

Just my 2 inf.

Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

yep. Ive had a lot of fights with him and ive no problem with acc. Hes a sort of squishy hunter. I built him for blaster v blaster fights as i think they most fun.(and im unbeaten might I add so far anyway) I would love to fight more blasters so let me know if your up for a duel. Anyone got a lvl 50 Ice/eng blaster? im yet to fight one and i reckon they be the only type that would beat me
