  1. I already posted this idea on the Union villain forums, but it was suggested I also post it here, considering these are after all the RP forums, and people here have complained that villain RP is pretty much dead.

    Basically we're looking to create a group of villains with a common background for some RP fun.

    For more information please refer to the post here:

    Feel free to leave replies/suggestions on this board, but it'd be highly preferred if you do so on the other board. ^^;

    Themed RP group

    At the moment the time isn't really such a big issue. I'm certain we can find some days that everybody (or a large group) can come gather up for some RP fun.

    And that's a good idea Dante, I'll post a link to this on the RP board.
  3. I was also running to sharkhead for acc insps and being repeatedly two-shotted by your generic, flying defiance blaster

    ^ Do what I did. First you need a ranged attack and teleport. Then you need to find 2 arbiter drones, stand in the middle for their perception buff. Then the moment the blaster show's his defiance [censored] anywhere in your screen, teleport there and throw a gloom at his face before he can use his snipe.

    ----

    It's not exactly fool proof (Hey, I only once managed to get him before he sniped me from stealth), but at least it gave me enough time to grab the helicopter back to sharkhead so I could get away from the hospital snipe camping. xD

    Themed RP group

    I'm looking to start a themed RP group on the Union server for a small group of villains, but I first want to see if anybody would be interested at all. xD

    Weekly meetings to level together and mostly to RP (You don't have to be level 50 to RP after all xD), mostly just for fun and having some good RP time. (RPing on villain side is...well...dead, in general.)

    The theme will be a group of Crey test subjects, who, like Mynx, where each combined with animal DNA in an attempt to create superhuman beings.

    Wolves, Cats, Bears, Reptiles, everything is allowed. =) Powersets that fit the animal would be nice (Because getting turned into a half dog does not make you breathe fire), but it's not needed.

    Just checking who would be interested for now though.

    CoV what happend

    I'm a RPer. =) Netherwound being my main RP character.
  6. Okaydokay. ^_^ Thanks for the reply, at least now I know I'm not the only one. xD
  7. I'm not entirely sure if this should go here or in a different channel, but this seemed to be the best place to do so.

    How many roleplayers are there on the villain side on Union? I'm a casual roleplayer myself, I enjoy it a lot, but I never see any other roleplayers. Either that, or all the other roleplayers these days run around with descriptions like 'i bite' or 'i r ze most ebil!'.

    Am I the only roleplayer or is the rest simply hiding? xD
  8. I'm suprised you guys even lost Siren in the first place. Last time I was there there were like twice as many heroes. :P
  9. Plant is extremely nice, plenty of chances to confuse/sleep/hold your foes. I took the thorns secondary myself, but find myself hardly ever using it. I'm guessing the ice secondary would be a bit better for control.

    Only problem I've had so far with plant is the pet, which has the IQ of a doorknob.

    Hammerhead Badge

    Yeah, I was guessing the same because I'm pretty certain I killed far more than 300 scrapyarders, but better safe than sorry. =)

    Hammerhead Badge

    You killed 300 scrapyarders / 100 of Ghost of Scrapyard's minions. It's not entirely sure what does it, two sites have it listed differently. -_-;
  12. If only I could enter paragon city I'd come over to trash your place. Would be more interesting than being owned by longbows again. :P
  13. As soon as I hit domination I turn into a crazed aoe spamming idiot, tossing confuse/immo/hold/damage all over the place, drawing absurd amounts of aggro, while hammering my heal inspirations I've been saving. :P

    Has gotten me killed more than once against Circle of Thorns and longbow though. Stupid hold/stun/knockbacks. ><
  14. Why does everybody hate controllors / dominators so much? xD How hard is it to simply carry one or two break frees? :P
  15. That's scary. But this makes me want to watch 8 bit DnD again. Funny flash movie.
  16. While I wouldn't exactly drop dead in seconds without my secondary a single fight would last forever. xD Depending on holds to kill stuff isn't all that great.
  17. Well, you'll get reputation far faster if you kill yourself. Killstealing will only get you some reputation.
  18. Well, you're slowing down their gain of reputation, and you need like...200 for a badge.
  19. I personally wait whenever I see a one on one, simply because stealing kills is extremely lame.

    But I get KSed plenty of times by stalkers who suddenly pop out with an AS when I'm holding a one on one duel.
  20. No comments or suggestions? Crey overused? Idea just plain [censored]?

    90 views and only 3 replies is kind of low.
  21. It's like...30. I saw some blue mobs there and I was level 27 when I went there.
  22. Yeah, there are a lot of people who believe the bases are just annoying. For some reason the devs found it needed to have a money / prestige, even though there isn't exactly any economy to begin with. How big your base will be depends on how large your group is and how active, at one point the prestige you're earning will be the exact same prestige you have to be as tax, thus you're stuck until you find more members to earn you prestige, and eventually you'll be stuck again. Really annoying system.
  23. This pretty much seems like the same deal WoW has. Heroes never played the CoV ATs and claim they're all overpowered, villains never played the hero ATs and claim they're overpowered.

    Just like how alliance always claims Shaman is overpowered, while horde keeps whining about paladin.

    Seriously, get on with your lives, it's only a game. Stalkers were obviously made for PvP, where tankers aren't exactly the best damage dealers in the game and way better for team play.
  24. It feels like your life is drained out of you, then stuffed in a blender, mixed, then you're forced to drink it, only to repeat the process.
  25. Alright, I've done some work on the background story of the group. ^_^; It's not exactly perfect, but I'm sure it'll work. The name and the animal DNA were left out because that should be decided by the people who wish to join. ^^;

    After the Rikti war Crey had enough bodies from fallen mutants for study, studying the mutants' biology, so they could perhaps one day 'create' mutants. After years of research they came with the daring idea of combining animal DNA with that of humans, to create their own lethal killers to protect their facilities, much like how the Council had created Warwolves. With the blood samples and skin tissues of fallen mutants they were able to figure out ways to fuse the DNA of an animal into a human body, to create stronger, more versatile soldiers. At first the subjects only showed higher strength, reflexes and senses, but as they started adapting DNA from the dead mutants scavenged from the Rikti war they managed to create truly hybrids, half human and half beast. Not only were they tougher and faster than normal humans, but the mutant DNA also triggered other mutations, granting them skills the long dead mutant had once had.

    To effectively control their new found subjects Crey divided them into small groups, for they were easier to control if they did not see each other all the time. One such group was '....', a group of humans that had been subject to '....' DNA. Their powers had grown at amazing rates, but Crey was slowly starting to get worried as the subjects started behaving with a free will, instead of obeying their orders. But when soldiers tried to split the group further apart they snapped, launching themselves at their creators. Three Crey soldiers were killed in their escape and several more were severely injured, but they managed to fight their way to freedom.

    Fearing that their creations would tell others about the dead heroes Crey had been hiding they quickly requested for backup from the Freedom Corps, managing to fake enough evidence to make them believe that the 'savages' were trying to break into the lab, and not out of it. The hunt was opened on the subjects, who had tried finding a spot to hide. They were quickly traced down by the Freedom Corps' branch the Longbows, who were in the remote area to study the growing Arachnos threat. When the Longbows tried seizing the subjects they tried fighting their way out, managing to kill five of the Longbows, but in the end they were outmatched, and thrown into jail, but it was not long before Arachnos busted them out, believing the subjects would make a good addition to the ranks of Arachnos, and hoping to abuse their hatred for Crey and the Longbows...

    Well, it shows how much I've got so far for the background story, and should give you an idea of it. Hope this gets the topic some more replies. =)
