  1. Necroing my own thread, because I'm still doing it by accident, especially when lagging slightly in trials with tons of people. XD

I think it's his final words on defeat which is the tender part. In defeat, he realizes that Penny's being saved, and it's all he ever wanted to begin with, having hastily arrived in hostile territory at her psychic cries for help from the Rikti.

    "Are you safe, Penny?"
    "That's good..."
    "That's good..."

I've kept it for incarnate trials where it has its uses. But in normal gameplay, I'll probably use it when exemplaring or tanking all of Recluse's lieutenants at the same time or something, haha.
  4. One method is to add Provoke into your build, so the aggro is dropped on you instead of pets... but you'll have to drop something to fit it in, haha.

If you buy Enhancement Boosters, you could drop one slot from Hasten...

Haha, quite often, it's the Skype/Teamspeak players who are the most quiet or don't follow instructions, as they don't realise that everyone else on the team doesn't have access to it and using textchat to communicate. :3 Of course, this isn't always the case, but a lot of people who use voicechat tend to minimize their chat windows. XD

Seconding this, but for all small gloves which don't completely cover the character's forearm.
  7. I like how Statesman didn't use ragdoll physics when he collapsed. Play through the previous one and see what happens to Malaise when he exits his body and imagine what if Statesman did that too? o_O

Thugs: A mafia set is needed, and I can see a female thug set ala the Rocket Girls.

Mercs: I could see a KoA skin in there, along with a WW2 style of soldier.

Robots: I could see a fem bot option, yeah.

Zombies: I got nothing on this one, ATM.

Ninja: Female ninjas for the win.

Demons: I'd rather not see a female option for this one, personally. Instead I'd like to see another beastial skin.
Thugs: Mafia sounds good, along with a Yazuka/Triad look too. Regarding the UI, I would like to see options for Minion 1, Minion 2, Minion 3, where you can pick what will always be summoned, instead of "Random Thug minion". Then you could have Thug male 1, Thug male 2, Thug female, Mafia male, Mafia female, Triad male, Triad female. But that's probably too much work, haha.

Mercs: If they look too much like KoA, people will be questioning why they don't use melee powers and caltrops, haha. Making female soldiers would probably be better.

Robots: In addition to 'fembots', alternate Steampunk robots would be nice...

Zombies: Cybernetic zombies, so it's not just "magic zombies" as alternate option.

Ninjas: Female ninjas could be done easily without making them look skimpy or anything. Alternate appearance is to make them look like 'modern day superninja' instead of traditional garb.

Demons: Unfortunately, if you think female demons, you will almost always think of the Succubi which is ingame, haha. So maybe reskin them as reptilian demons or something as an alternate choice, or even alien demons.

  10. So how well does a Tauntless Tanker do on stuff like pulling Anti-Matter to terminals in Keyes, or pulling Siege and Nightstar to the tennis courts in BAF, as well as alternating aggro with other Tankers due to the pulse hold thing, or pulling the Voids into Penelope Mayhem in MoM, along with the AV Bosses into Mother Mayhem? And what about the Underground, keeping the AVs facing away from 23 other people in the league? :3

Yeah, I think I'll keep Taunt, thanks.

So a mix of nice things will cover possible holes.
Bear in mind the defence only affects Weave, Combat Jumping and Maneuvers (if you picked them up) since FA doesn't have any defence toggles. Still, a little is better than nothing, and extra recovery and recharge is always a plus in my book. Plus you could change the slotting on Hasten if you picked it up, since Agility basically pops in one recharge SO worth into that power...
  12. Generally, an Alpha is built to offshore any potential weaknesses the build might have (even if it's minor). If you feel you have no such weaknesses, then use the Alpha for extra strength in resistances or damage, such as Resilient or Musculature, based around the major buffed part of the Alpha and ignoring the side boosts from higher tiers (but still building to tier 3 for level shift). Alternatively, look at all of the boosts as a whole and see which would help you most, like Agility for endurance mod, recharge and def buff (and movement if you go radial), or Cardiac for endurance reduction, resist buff and range (if you took an epic pool with range attacks).
  13. You do want them on aggressive during the prisoner breakout on BAF though, haha. If you have them on defensive, they'll just let the prisoners go by them without doing anything.

    New Dark Astoria

Artists may sometimes draw from the same source for inspiration.

You might need to post a few pics comparing what you think looks similar before people can give input, haha.
  15. I think the only possible answer is to make a dark character of each AT. It would be thematic at least. XD Hope you have enough character slots, haha!

One tree specific to your character's Archetype. Genesis roughly translates to 'Beginning, the origin'. Since Origin is fairly useless, AT is one of the first choices you make for a character.

Oh, and while not exactly on topic. I'd also like to see the Alpha ability being exemplared below Lv45, treated like an enhancement so even though they diminish at Lv31 and lower, they still give you benefit at all levels.
That could be what Genesis might be - the ability to use your incarnate stuff at earlier levels when exemplaring, haha. Each tier goes down ten levels, so a tier 4 would allow you to use your incarnate stuff at level 5.

Because they wanted to name it "Gunslingers and Saloon Harlots", but lawyers advised them against it.

    (just kidding, I hope)

Regarding gunbelts, that's a good question. It's not like it would be the first of its kind, such as the police style belt, and the gunbelt the Enforcer MMs wear when upgraded. Maybe whoever designed the costumes figured the dual pistol users were drawing the guns from hidden holsters under armpits, so a gunslinger belt wasn't needed.
  18. I would suggest that while a petless MM can be fun to play, I would not recommending using such a build on incarnate trials. :3 Especially on something like BAF, haha. On TPN and MoM, you could actually get away with it at some points due to some stages only requiring single target controlled damage (like the cameras or the eyes next to Penny Mayhem).
  19. I've seen my lore pets triggering procs, so not sure how you're not managing to do so. o_O

I honestly can't recall myself whether or not this has always been the case, but the 'Historical' section at the bottom of the linked page does't indicated that there was ever a change and the folks that work on the wiki are usually on the ball.
I actually put that in not so long ago, when in a trial, people asked me why their lore pets were a level below them. I was kind of surprised that nobody had seemed to notice before, so I added it to the article about a week ago, haha.
  21. I'm not gonna read through 18 pages, but only sort of fix I can figure is to change the plot slightly and replace the citizens with Power Division people instead who are starting to question what's going on. Make them all minion class, give them all random range and melee powers, keep them at either level 54 like how it is, or make them level 50 to empathize how 'powerful' you are to them. :3

On my inv/ax, i find that the RSF is much easier. Let's break it down:

End of RSF: One fight. States gets his fist pump thingy that I frankly don't even know what it does. Numina buffs the rest, so she dies first. Psyche does heavy psi damage, so I always call her next. The rest are just vanilla S/L/E/N, as far as I can tell. Synapse might have some end drain, as I recall, Manticore has a big lethal AOE that doesn't go off very often, not one of them has any special mechanic that I've ever noticed.
    Hrm, if I remember:
Numina: Can Fort, heal and AB team members, and has Psi damage so she generally dies first
Sister Psyche: Can put barriers around team members to raise their defences, and has Psi damage, so she generally dies second
Positron: Can greatly debuff enemy resistance and defence, lots of AoE energy, so generally dies third, however, he does have a godmode, so you might want to pick a less durable enemy first before him, up to you
Manticore and Synapse: Both do not possess any particular strong attacks against a Tanker, and both don't possess godmodes, either take them out next to cut down on attacks for rest of the time, or leave them for later
Citadel: Has energy attacks both melee and range, but has godmode
Back Alley Brawler: A 'weaker' version of Statesman, you could say, also has godmode
Statesman: Has four PBAoEs (Footstomp, damaging Handclap, Hammer of Justice, Zeus' Lightning Bolt at low health), Dull Pain (+MaxHP, heal), and Unstoppable as godmode. However, there's been some reports that Statesman won't fire off Unstoppable if any teammembers are still alive. Due to this reason, Statesman is either taken out last (being the toughest due to Dull Pain and Unstoppable, and if team has enough debuffs), or next to last (to prevent Unstoppable from firing off)

The main problem with SR or Shields or Ice is mainly not much resistances if attacks get through (consider 8 Heroes firing off attacks, some are bound to get through). So, if you're softcapped or team members can buff your defence, then bring lots of oranges, especially since Positron will debuff your resistance/defence to make attacks which get through hit harder.

Of course, if everyone is an Incarnate and has access to Lore Pets, suddenly the Heroes are severely outnumbered...

Your demons will eventually be -1 to your level. The demon prince stays at your level permanently.
Should note that due to player response regarding near useless primaries for Masterminds during trials, Mastermind Pets were given special Incarnate shifts when in Incarnate Trials as part of Supremacy (Mastermind inherent). Minion pets get an extra +2, and lieutenant pets get an extra +1, which stacks with your other level and incarnate shifts.

So, if you, the player, are level 50(+3), then your Mastermind henchmen would be:
    Minion pets x 3 = Level 48(+5)
    Lieutenant pets x 2 = Level 49(+4)
    Boss pet x 1 = Level 50(+3)

What I was thinking of, basically it's a co-op zone, but heroes and villains could have their own missions which the opposite sides can join on. Kind of like how Sister Airlia and Daedalus have their own missions despite it being a co-op zone. Plus with the uneasy alliance between Arachnos and Longbow forced onto them by their respective leaders could add some plot too. Heck, bring in Crey too with their Paragon Protectors 'aiding' the fight, and Crey Industries funding the base and stuff!
