  1. I have it somewhat 'perma'd', but since I don't use Hasten on my build, it's only really perma when my SOs are green +2 or higher. When they're +1 or lower, it's not perma anymore.

    Also, take into account the many enemies who use -recharge attacks.

    In short, nothing much for my inv/ss tanker has changed, haha. Inv/SS has always been somewhat endurance heavy due to no means of recharging unless you pick up Conserve Power in your 40s. Means you just have to pick up Stamina at 20 and three slot as soon as possible, as well as putting a Endredux in all attacks.
  2. Hrm... at that level, because you can afford to be in close combat more often, I would have took ninja reflexes as well...

    As for your attacks, Sting and Flashing Steel, you probably should have took the slots from Hide and put them into Flashing Steel. Hide's only useful up to the point when you attack. After that, until Hide's up again, it has extremely limited defense.

    This would be what I would do up to level 9.

    Name:
    Level: 10
    Archetype: Stalker
    Primary: Ninja Blade
    Secondary: Ninjitsu
    ---------------------------------------------
    01) --> Sting of the Wasp==> Acc(1)
    01) --> Hide==> EndRdx(1)
    02) --> Flashing Steel==> Acc(2) Dmg(3) Dmg(3)
    04) --> Ninja Reflexes==> EndRdx(4) DefBuf(5) DefBuf(5)
    06) --> Assassin's Blade==> Acc(6) Dmg(7) Dmg(7)
    08) --> Build Up==> Rechg(8) Rechg(9) Rechg(9)
    ---------------------------------------------
    01) --> Sprint==> Run(1)
    01) --> Brawl==> Acc(1)
    01) --> Assassination==> Empty(1)
    02) --> Rest==> Rechg(2)

    With all these temp travel powers, if you wanted, you could probably put it off for a bit until early 20s if you desired. Remember to put in stamina though. Even though I found stalkers do remarkably well without stamina for a while, this is probably due to soloing, and the fact that once you get AS and Placate, you'll be spending a lot of time in 'wait mode', thus, your endurance will recover better. In teams, your endurance will go down slower than everyone else's, but when it comes to the crunch, and you have to stand your line and fight like a scrapper, you might not last forever.
  3. A player's leadership pool differs from that of an enforcer's leadership in several ways.

    The player's leadership pool affects all your teammates, all your pets, and all your teammates' pets.

    The enforcer's leadership powers affects all your other thugs as well as himself, and any other thug masterminds' pets on your team. It won't affect any other type of mastermind pets, or other players, or yourself. Bear in mind that as you'll get two enforcers, you'll get stacked leadership icons on your thugs.

    At the very least, you could probably get assault from the leadership pool. But if you don't have stamina in your build, it might not be worthwhile getting tactics as well unless you end redux virtually everything, especially heavy end toggles, due to /dark build.
  4. Considering that I only attack one mob at a time in rapid succession, it's not that hard to live with it. Jump in, footstomp, everyone falls over, that's everyone else's cue to jump in on the action. Quickly move to next mob, and so it continues...
  5. Hrm, while playing in game, people have suggested with my /ninjutsu build, I should try to fit caltrops in somehow, seeing as I rarely run away during teaming for the recharge AS+Hide method.

    Plus, I kinda miss it from my /Devices blaster, haha.

    I'll drop Acrobatics from my planned build at 32 and put caltrops there. :3
  6. Hrm, seems a stalker will always have trouble with mayhem solo at young levels, just like any other class, but more so than normal since the stalker's usual method of fighting can't be used properly.

    Oh well, chickened out and got a high level friend to do it for me. Haha, maybe one day, I'll do it solo.
  7. Very new to using stalkers, and my stalker, Ira Deorum is currently level 11. I've been offered a mayhem mission to King's Row, but dreading the thought of ambushes on my stalker.

    Should I wait until level 12 to get Placate, or just get a few teammates to handle it? o_o

    I gather the usual method is:
    1. Run to bank in hide mode.
    2. Start ASing every cop you see in the bank, or scrap it out if it's a small mob of say, three people.
    3. Once at bank, take down the door, and grab the money.
    4. Wait for hero to come, and promptly get owned by the hero and mob who can see through your stealth. D:

    Any ideas? I'm a claws/ninjutsu stalker, by the way.

    08) --> Build Up==> Rechg(8) Rechg(9) Rechg(9)
    10) --> Danger Sense==> EndRdx(10) DefBuf(11) DefBuf(11)

    All training enhancements too. :3
  8. I've been playing with a tanker for the most part, and it wasn't so long ago when I joined into my SG's activities and built a brute. Finding it a meld of scrapper and tanker rather than one or the other has been quite interesting. :3

    However, what sounds good in theory (attacks first, followed by defence), makes my brute very fragile in her opening levels. Even at level 15, which she is currently, she's finding it a struggle to survive. So, I thought about using a free respec to make a new build.

    Note: The build is almost always PvE, and extremely rarely PvP (like if I had to go get Shivan shards, beating down a hero who's trying to kill me would be last on my list of things-to-do)

    Originally, she would have had Stun, and took some of the powers later, but since we do get all those nice temp powers, I figured on delaying Flight until level 24.

    So, any comments on new build? As for patron pool powers, I figured I might as well take them to see what they're like and for concept.
  9. Lost map connection at trade 17, and Union server now has two yellow circles. D: I'll try again every five min, but it seems to be down. o_o
  10. Hi,

    Not so long ago, I got CoV, and despite being at level 27, my poor villain is still poor as heck, and can't afford anything. So, if anyone has lots of infamy they want to exchange for influence on a 1:1 ratio, would you like to contact me?

    I'm looking for between 2-4 million infamy roughly, so to those rich villains with somewhat poor heroes, up for a trade?

    Contact in CoH/CoV is @Ideon

    Hrm, from what I heard, parry is so low in damage that there's no point in putting damage enhancements in it. What you should be using it for is for buffing yourself with extra defence or something.

    New Age Tankers

    Depends on the group that I'm playing with. As a whole, I generally don't herd with my tank, since the people I play with want to be in the action more, or slightly impatient. Sure, if they ask me to herd, I will, but if not, then I'll usually jump into a group with taunt aura up, use footstomp to grab everyone's attention, and then everyone jumps in after me. After that, we immediately move onto the next mob, and so on...

    Never tried a scrapper, and the test character I tried with broadsword/dark armour was so end-heavy (admittedly at level 8), I ended up rolling a new one and reworking out powers. Still only like level 13, so I have no idea how it will all turn out in the end. o_o
  14. I want in on trading too. Basically, I need infamy. Lots of it. I have like 5 million influence spare, though I will only need like 1 million infamy to begin with.

    And whats with the increased runspeed? Thought I had gotten speed buffed pets before without noticing it. Not saying I don't like it, not sure why exactly we got it though.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Lots of complaints about pets moving too slowly, apparently. Now people are complaining that they move too fast, so people can't run away quick and time their henchmen teleporting to them after a certain distance. XD
  16. I thought about that, but I can't wrap my head around the idea of file binds, much less altering them for the home/pageup/pagedown/end keys (as I'm using a chinese laptop keyboard, the home/pageup/pagedown/end keys are all in a vertical line to the right of the enter key).

    Plus, with the speaking thing, I got a feeling they might annoy my teammates after a while. But since they got default lines anyway when accepting commands...
  17. Before I start, I'd like to make a note that the original numpad scheme comes from Khaiba's Mastermind Numeric Keypad Pet Controls, from the following link.

    http://boards.cityofvillains.com/sho...Number=3949032

    I play City of Heroes/Villains on a laptop, and as such, it's missing a numpad. So, in order to get around that, I cleared up the buttons for HOME, PAGEUP, PAGEDOWN, and END. You can do this in Options. All those buttons do is control the camera, which I do with the mouse anyway, so you have to sacrifice something. You can always reassign them to other keys, or even the following guide to other keys.

    With the original scheme, it was:
    numpad0 = all
    numpad1 = minions (soldiers/zombie horde/genin/battle drones/thugs)
    numpad2 = lieutenants (spec ops/grave knight/jounin/protector bots/enforcers)
    numpad3 = boss (commando/lich/oni/assault bot/bruiser)
    numpad4 = Aggressive
    numpad5 = Defensive
    numpad6 = Passive
    numpad7 = Attack
    numpad8 = Follow
    numpad9 = Goto (brings up target recticle)

    The laptop scheme is:
    HOME = all
    PAGEUP = minions (soldiers/zombie horde/genin/battle drones/thugs
    PAGEDOWN = lieutenants (spec ops/grave knight/jounin/protector bots/enforcers
    END = boss (commando/lich/oni/assault bot/bruiser
    LSHIFT+PAGEUP = Aggressive
    LSHIFT+PAGEDOWN = Defensive
    LSHIFT+END = Passive
    LALT+PAGEUP = Attack
    LALT+PAGEDOWN = Follow
    LALT+END = Goto (brings up target recticle)

    As you can see, you'll be using the Home, PageUp, PageDown, and End, along with the left Shift button and the left Alt button. Sounds a bit dodgy, but anyway...

    The following is adapted for thugs, but you can easily change it to other powersets, by changing the 'thu' (thugs), 'enf' (enforcers), and 'bru' (bruiser) to the other classes, which I listed above. Remember to keep it as short as possible (I used three letters for each class myself), otherwise it may go over the limit. Copy these binds after clearing out home, pageup, pagedown, and end in options.

    (all)
    /bind home "bind lshift+pageup petcomall agg$$bind lshift+pagedown petcomall def$$bind lshift+end petcomall pass$$bind lalt+pageup petcomall att$bind lalt+pagedown petcomall fol$$bind lalt+end petcomall goto"

    (minions)
    /bind pageup "bind lshift+pageup petcompow thu agg$$bind lshift+pagedown petcompow thu def$$bind lshift+end petcompow thu pass$$bind lalt+pageup petcompow thu att$bind lalt+pagedown petcompow thu fol$$bind lalt+end petcompow thu goto"

    (lieutenants)
    /bind pagedown "bind lshift+pageup petcompow enf agg$$bind lshift+pagedown petcompow enf def$$bind lshift+end petcompow enf pass$$bind lalt+pageup petcompow enf att$bind lalt+pagedown petcompow enf fol$$bind lalt+end petcompow enf goto"

    (boss)
    /bind end "bind lshift+pageup petcompow bru agg$$bind lshift+pagedown petcompow bru def$$bind lshift+end petcompow bru pass$$bind lalt+pageup petcompow bru att$bind lalt+pagedown petcompow bru fol$$bind lalt+end petcompow bru goto"

    At the moment, my mastermind is only level 7, but it seems to work okay with the basic thugs, so I haven't been able to test the laptop scheme any further. If anyone would like to give it a test, feel free.
