This is how my build looks. I may have added the slots at different levels to them shown below but its just an outline of what my build looks like. I have an option on this character to respec so do you think I need to? I am looking to have a build that is able to handle itself solo and in teams, im not bothered about pvp until later on but I can always respec then aswell. Anyway here it is:

---------------------------------------------
Exported from Ver: 1.7.6.0 of the CoH_CoV Character Builder
---------------------------------------------
Name: Xenohowler
Level: 7
Archetype: Stalker
Primary: Ninja Blade
Secondary: Ninjitsu
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Sting of the Wasp==> Acc5+(1)
01) --> Hide==> DefBuf5+(1)DefBuf5+(3)EndRdx5+(3)
02) --> Flashing Steel==> Dmg5(2)
04) --> Ninja Reflexes==> EndRdx5+(4)EndRdx5+(5)DefBuf5(5)
06) --> Assassin's Blade==> Acc5(6)
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Sprint==> Empty(1)
01) --> Brawl==> Empty(1)
01) --> Assassination==> Empty(1)
02) --> Rest==> Empty(2)
---------------------------------------------

Where it says 5+ etc is what level the enhancements are in the slot.

If I have to respec then I will and I aint bothered as its only level 7

-edit fixed typo

Hrm... at that level, because you can afford to be in close combat more often, I would have took ninja reflexes as well...

As for your attacks, Sting and Flashing Steel, you probably should have took the slots from Hide and put them into Flashing Steel. Hide's only useful up to the point when you attack. After that, until Hide's up again, it has extremely limited defense.

This would be what I would do up to level 9.

Name:
Level: 10
Archetype: Stalker
Primary: Ninja Blade
Secondary: Ninjitsu
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Sting of the Wasp==> Acc(1)
01) --> Hide==> EndRdx(1)
02) --> Flashing Steel==> Acc(2) Dmg(3) Dmg(3)
04) --> Ninja Reflexes==> EndRdx(4) DefBuf(5) DefBuf(5)
06) --> Assassin's Blade==> Acc(6) Dmg(7) Dmg(7)
08) --> Build Up==> Rechg(8) Rechg(9) Rechg(9)
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Sprint==> Run(1)
01) --> Brawl==> Acc(1)
01) --> Assassination==> Empty(1)
02) --> Rest==> Rechg(2)

With all these temp travel powers, if you wanted, you could probably put it off for a bit until early 20s if you desired. Remember to put in stamina though. Even though I found stalkers do remarkably well without stamina for a while, this is probably due to soloing, and the fact that once you get AS and Placate, you'll be spending a lot of time in 'wait mode', thus, your endurance will recover better. In teams, your endurance will go down slower than everyone else's, but when it comes to the crunch, and you have to stand your line and fight like a scrapper, you might not last forever.

i'd probably do something like this,

Archetype: Stalker
Primary: Ninja Blade
Secondary: Ninjitsu
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Sting of the Wasp==> Acc(1) Dmg(3) Dmg(3) Dmg(15)
01) --> Hide==> EndRdx(1)
02) --> Flashing Steel==> Acc(2) Dmg(5) Dmg(11)
04) --> Ninja Reflexes==> DefBuf(4) DefBuf(5) DefBuf(9)
06) --> Assassin's Blade==> Acc(6) Dmg(7) Dmg(7) Dmg(9)
08) --> Combat Jumping==> Empty(8)
10) --> Danger Sense==> DefBuf(10) DefBuf(11) DefBuf(15)
12) --> Placate==> Rechg(12) Rechg(13) Rechg(13)
14) --> Super Jump==> Empty(14)
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Sprint==> Empty(1)
01) --> Brawl==> Empty(1)
02) --> Rest==> Empty(2)
01) --> Assassination==> Empty(1)
---------------------------------------------

Putting more damage into Single Target early on will be more useful to a stalker since Cone attacks has a less chance to crit wich makes them more useful as a filler.

This build is meant to be able to hold you quite nicely even without Build Up early on but thats a mattter of taste.

If you have the vet reward respec available it really doesnt matter too much, its all about trying and trying until you find a build that fits your playstyle and personal taste

get AS, BU and placate ASAP, you can leave a travel power for a while and just use mayhem temps as a travel power temp-

But... would he not lose the respec anyway if he starts again?

I say use the respec. You'll get another one anyway when i11 comes in the next few weeks
