How do stalkers solo mayhem missions?

4. Wait for hero to come, and promptly get owned by the hero and mob who can see through your stealth. D:

Make sure you try it on villainous difficulty setting if youre unsure.
Buy as many defense insps as you can. When the hero comes, switch off defense shields to save endurance.
- pop 4 def insps at once. AS the hero.
- Hit couple times, wait for AS to recharge and stop attacking for hide to kick in, AS the hero.
- Hit couple times, wait for AS to recharge and stop attacking for hide to kick in, AS the hero.
Repeat until def insp icons start to blink, pop next 4 def insps at once.
Repeat ASing until hero is dead and finish the rest of the guards.
I reckon it should be doable. Damn, I dont even remember how many insp slots you have at lvl 11 o.O

It's 8 I believe.
I found that the hero only sees through Hide the first time he attacks you. Once you've broken out the jail and got back to the bank, he's as vulnerable to AS as anyone else. I think that's how I got through the Mayhem missions with my claws / SR stalker at that level (in fact I think I did that right the way through till about lvl 20). OK so it's not the best strategy, but I always found at that level, the debt was low enough to be manageable.

I gather the usual method is:
1. Run to bank in hide mode.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't run straight to the bank that will just trigger all the ambushes at once (who as you yourself pointed out sees straight thru your stealth).
Fight your way there, destroy bus stops, newsstands, the cops, etc. for extra time (maybe not the cars at your current level though). That way you will only trigger one ambush at a time and at villainous solo they will only consist of 2 longbow pr. ambush.
@Nightfly
Also you get two ambushes at the end, both of which come in several waves. The first comes when you get near the vault door and the second when you grab the loot. I found it easier to clear the waves of the first ambush before clicking the loot.
When the hero comes, I tend to hide around a corner and attack whatever comes around first with my next biggest attack after AS so I'm getting a critical. After that, it's a matter of careful inspiration use.

Badging character: Bimble on the Union server, Badgehunter.com and City Info Tracker.
Do it on Villainous:
- IF there is a Villain locked away, free him/her. They're a huge help.
- Then, go to the bank, wait just inside.
- Slaughter the Longbow coming after you in the bank.
- AS your way to the vault.
- Destroy the vault, don't take money.
- Kill the incoming cops/Longbow.
- Take the money.
- Slaughter the pesky hero and friends for the reward!
And take Placate at 12. Your travel power can wait.
Also, I'll team with youuuuu!
After lv38 it's easy (with God Power), before that it's quite pesky. I found it quite easy with my spines/sr, even at relentless (god bless Phase shift and aid self), not as easy on my em/regen, mainly for the difficulty of regaining hide. But all in all it's doable. Harder than with a MM or a brute, of course, but pretty doable still
Hrm, seems a stalker will always have trouble with mayhem solo at young levels, just like any other class, but more so than normal since the stalker's usual method of fighting can't be used properly.
Oh well, chickened out and got a high level friend to do it for me. Haha, maybe one day, I'll do it solo.

I'd beg to differ. Run straight into the bank and drag all the ambushes behind you. Find a nice quiet spot and let them take you down. Then all the ambushes are in one safe out of the way place and you can do the mission with ease.
Not strictly legal, but then, you're a villain
Depends on your level as people have mentioned, but it doesn't have to be done on the easiet rep level. I've done missions on the highest, and as a result, the villain I rescued conned as a purple Boss, and would promptly destroy anything that came near us. Combined with Shivans, which few people seem to realise the potential of, even the Hero (Likely still Boss in solo), wont be that much of an issue.

Very carefully
Defiant's GoEH/MILITIS METUS
I found soloing mayhem missions quite easy with a stalker just run your butt to the bank. Whenever you see longbow chat on your screen just stop dead let them come to you and destroy them. Continue that till you get into the bank.
Once in the bank (there is usealy a gilch when 20 longbow ambush you here) pop 3 purples and kick there butt continue to the vault. Now your at the door but dont attack the door there will be ppl on there way to stop you first dispose of them first then break down the door get the loot and wait for hero when see him in eye sight pop your last purples and own him.
Question for everyone whats been the quickest time throu a mayhem mission I am sitting on 3 min 30 seconds
Mr Normal has done it with 27 minutes remaining after completely all 3 side missions in Talos.
I dont mean how much time u have left i mean how long has it taken u to do due to the time goes up the more you kill stuff.
3 min 30 sec is how long it took me to completle the mayhem I had 18 minutes left on the clock

You only get this if you run through a Mayhem mission with your travel power on

Its ANY vertical movement around the area of the bank that spawns the Eagle Gank Squad of Doom!
Defiant's GoEH/MILITIS METUS
Eagle Gank Squad of Doom!? *runs away in terror but gets sniped from the air*
There are some counter-measures against the Eagle Gank Squad of Doom, but I guess stalkers have the hardest job surviving that one evil ambush.
With my electric brute I just enter the bank, wait for them to follow me and Lightning Rod them to hell.
With my robo/poison MM I just enter the bank, set my henchies to aggressive and wait for them to follow me. Finished.
With my sonic/kin corruptor I just enter the bank, wait for them to follow me and show them what an aimed, fulcrum-shifted, soul-drained Dreadful Wail can do. (Most of them are almost dead after the Soul Drain...)
With my mind/psi dominator I just enter the bank, wait for them to follow me and mez them at will before I shockwave them to their afterlives.
With my dark/dark stalker it´s a bit more complicated. I enter the bank, toggle Oppressive Gloom and Cloak of Fear and wait for them to follow me... That´s when the real work begins and I know I am in trouble when I run out of blue candy.
Other than that I love mayhems with any of my chars and even the stalker clears all the side missions before he even thinks about heading to the bank. (Ok, sometimes he skips the kidnapping, but I think that´s understandable.)
I even thought he was a little bit too good in mayhems until I met my first Eagle Gank Squad of Doom.
But I have to say that the sheer power of AS can be a danger in lower level mayhem missions. I once tried my luck against a parked truck that conned deep purple to me and managed to destroy it quite fast thanks to AS. Little did I know that the explosion resulting from the last AS would send my dead body flying across the street.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
For a Claws/Ninj, Caltrops is pure Mayhem Mission gold.
Get it, love it.
Hrm, while playing in game, people have suggested with my /ninjutsu build, I should try to fit caltrops in somehow, seeing as I rarely run away during teaming for the recharge AS+Hide method.
Plus, I kinda miss it from my /Devices blaster, haha.
I'll drop Acrobatics from my planned build at 32 and put caltrops there. :3

Might be a good idea. I don't have any plans for Caltrops either... hm.. might throw Acrobatics out too.
I have done many solo mayhem missions being a MA/Ninja stalker, and it has been quite easy. I'm usually on vicious. If you play on villainous, the 'Hero' will be just a liutenant, so you can AS him/her easily.
I go straight to the bank, avoiding cops and longbow (hidden). Try not to get ambushed outdoors. Before 'cleaning' the bank, wait a bit, because some longbow will enter after you. Defeat them, and then go to the vault (hidden, ASing, or scrapping). Get the money, and wait the hero in a good spot, best places are doors and corners.
Remember: walls, corners and doors are not only decoration, take advantage of them.

Caltrops for me have been amazing, so much damage mitigation when i need it or others need it, so much time bought. I was wondering why i went /ninja thinking about /sr with aid self until i picked up caltrops at 24.
A power may be good for one and bad for another down to team dynamics or the sense of purpose. Plus if i played toons that were all the same and did things the same way or went unchallenged in anyway I'd be bored ****less. Its bad enough seeing same team strategies wherever ya go.

If you want to see Caltrops in action, run into an Arson/Bank and throw them into the doorway.
Watch all the Longbow get hit by slow and damage AS they enter and then line up the AS.
Another wee trick is to AS, Placate, Crit hit a weakened PPD van. Can we say Car Bomb?
Very new to using stalkers, and my stalker, Ira Deorum is currently level 11. I've been offered a mayhem mission to King's Row, but dreading the thought of ambushes on my stalker.
Should I wait until level 12 to get Placate, or just get a few teammates to handle it? o_o
I gather the usual method is:
1. Run to bank in hide mode.
2. Start ASing every cop you see in the bank, or scrap it out if it's a small mob of say, three people.
3. Once at bank, take down the door, and grab the money.
4. Wait for hero to come, and promptly get owned by the hero and mob who can see through your stealth. D:
Any ideas? I'm a claws/ninjutsu stalker, by the way.
