One more question will you be able to purchase these Alpha Slot Enhancements from wentworths if someone goes out and posts it?
-
Quote:tyvmIf we're judging by the way the slot originally worked in GR closed you do the following.
There are several IO style recipes you can pick from and craft to fill the slot, coming in common, uncommon, rare and purple flavours of recipe, the rarer the recipe, the more it costs to make but the more powerful it is and the more powers it enhances.
Level 50 enemies drop 'incarnate shards' which are used to craft the slot and to make the other salvage needed to make the more common/uncommon/rare/purple salvage you need to make the power.
One of the examples was a power which enhanced damage.
The Common version enhanced damage by, I think it was 25%
The Uncommon version enhanced damage and endurance by 33% or Damage and Hold duration by the same amount
And so on.
The purple version had one option which increased Damage, Hold duration, Confuse duation and Immobilization duration by 33% as well as giving 33% Endurance discount to all powers. -
Quote:Oh okay, also i am unaware of how you would 'fill' this slot?Mender Ramiel will give an arc that will unlock the slot, similar to the way Monatgue Castanella gives an arc that unlocks the Midngihter Club.
The slot probably won't be able to be bought with merits, as that was one of the things people complaiend about during the GR closed beta - it made the slot seem less special or tied into the game lore. -
Im still confused on this whole alpha slot. So does this mender give you some type of mission to get one? Can these slots be bought by merits? What do you fill the slot with? Is it like a Super-Purple IO?

Quote:wow that is real niceThis is my main Angel Red, just sent to me in the early hours of the morning by BAKArt. He did a great job in portraying Angel Red closer to how I see her.

I have an idea for a 6 man super team. It will have to be done in Pretoria because this is my plan:
2 Blasters:
AR/Device
DP/Device
2 Corruptors:
AR/Traps
DP/Traps
2 Defenders:
AR/Traps
DP/Traps
I feel this could work because 4 FFG's give good mez protection and defense which will make higher levels easier. And obviously we would have lots of DMG. If this plan goes threw i have a AR/Traps Corruptor in Pretoria i could use for this. I also figured costumes could look similar to this:
Thats a screenshot of my level 8 corr i would use for such a super team and like i said maybe we all base are costumes to look similar.
(By the way I would want to do all Resistance also.) -
My global is @ParagonBrawler I would be interested on my Elec/SS tank
-
Supergroup Name: Paragon Guard
Leader or Recruiting Officers: @ParagonBrawler
Preferred Method of contact: In game tells, in game emails
Website: I don't have one
Other info: The Paragon Guard is a medium sized SG. We have friendly members who enjoy teaming and Task Forces. Our base has a full workshop and teleporters to all zones in Paragon City. We have Coalitions with the following Super Groups: Freedom-Fighters, NEXAN, S.W.A.R.T.S, Rogue Viveca, Public Defenders, Order of the Paladin& last but not least The Devout. We also have a optional SG costume right here:

Quote:how many merits for miracle? It will be very difficult to run all of those toggles unless you invest in IOs that improve your recovery. Without IOs, you might be better off without the fighting pool.
My own personal FF/Energy (at level 30) went with Dispersion, Maneuvers, and Hover
This gets you to around 25% defense to all with just generic IOs.
My character has 4-slots of thunderstrike in each of his single target attacks, which puts ranged, and energy a little higher. Since he is a hover-blaster, that works well. And finally, instead of getting steadfast +3% defense IO (like most of my characters do by this level), I used my first pile of merits to get the Miracle +recovery IO for health, and that gets my net End recovery right around 2eps. Thats a number that a veteran told me awhile ago as a good target, and it works very well for all my toons. -
Quote:That's what i was thinking do weave/tough for i19 , i plan on slotting my blasts with Thunderstrikes and my defense with Red Fortunes. A steadfast +3 def in my tough, and 1 KB proc in my combat jumping. also an 1 or 2 end reductions in toughPossible, since we don't know your slotting. Actually I would go with only Weave, since your bubble gives defense too. You could also not take Tough & Weave, since you have PFF (I hope). If a mob gets tough, hit PFF and use the med pool self heal before getting back into the fight. That's what I do with my bubbler, and I won't be taking Tough and Weave when i19 comes out.
-
I made this character with Force Fields and Energy blaster figuring I love mez protection and love being elusive but i have a question. i19 comes out and stamina goes inherent and i was thinking get tough and weave but I'm not sure if Dispersion Bubble, Maneuvers, Tough, Weave, & Combat jumping will stifle my character endurance wise. I'm planning to spend around like 300mil for him so my Question is will the addition of tough and weave kill my stamina?

Quote:I'll offer my ideas/thoughts of the poster children for the whole AT spectrum. Keep in mind, these are "poster children" not "most numerically superior" choices. These are the combos that come to mind when I think what exemplifies X AT, and why.
Scrapper - Claws/SR. Hits hard and fast, tough as nails
Blaster - Fire/Energy. Ranged AoE death, great melee and utility
Controller - Mind/Rad. Controls the battle and weakens the enemy in so many ways
Defender - Emp/Sonic. The buffs in Emp are simply amazing. Sonic adds damage with -res
Tank - Invuln/SS. Takes it in and dishes it out in spades. Works thematically and in practice
Stalker - Energy/Ninjitsu. Great burst, can scrap, tailor made secondary
Corruptor - Fire/Dark. Debuffs and controls the enemies, burns them wholesale.
Dominator - Plant/Fire. Tailor made (and awesome) primary, all damage secondary
Brute - SS/Fire. Burn, smash and wreck everything that comes near you. Damage, damage damage! No finesse, no technique. You're strong, you're angry, and you're ON FIRE! LITERALLY!
Mastermind - Bots/Traps. Construct mindless minions that do your every bidding without question and use insidious devices to
control/debuff/blow up your enemy and buff your army.
im still laughing about that brute description -
no improvements have been made, they may look into it i19 or i20 but i doubt they'll make it good again.
-
I've only got the one blaster and i seem to like it. Hes Ice/ice with lots of defense bonuses so it is very easy to lock down opponents and evade some attacks.
-
-
if your planning on doing a thugs version of this i am very interested contact me in game as @ParagonBrawler
-
Is it just me or does this combo feel like playing a dominator :P
-
I made this figuring siphon speed would help me keep Phantom Army up more often, but I'm very curious has anyone ever had Perma-Phantom Army??

Quote:what do u mean 'broken' thunderstrike?if u already have the stalker just use him he'll be fine, but currently the top stalker setup is elec/wp due to broken thunderstrike and HPT allowing u to be great running on just SOs and a stealth PROC...
and yes starting on a squishy does help u learn to pvp better, I reccomend psi/em blast,sonic/therm corr, or mind/fire Dom -
Willpower lost pvp relevance for everything but stalkers in i13.
