What my question is: How can I open and edit a mission across 2 accounts because it sure as heck lets me do it. Is this a bug or a "design feature"?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It shouldn't be letting you open and edit a PUBLISHED mission on any account but the one that published it. Now, local files, yeah, you can definitely open and edit those on any account that uses the computer on which those files were stored.

If it's really letting your 2nd account open and edit a mission that your 1st account published, then that's definitely a bug.

EDIT: Are you absolutely sure your 2nd account was able to edit the published version of the mission, or just the "local stories" version of it?
  2. You need to find the doors to get into the Zig. They're the same ones you exit the Zig from in the Breakout tutorial. They're all the way to the back of that map.

Also, this should have been posted in Player Questions. This forum is for archiving player-written guides.

considering that this patch basically killed my test client i would assume when THIS patch comes live we won't be able to play for a week............and don't tell me they gonna fix it, maybe they will on test but shold i remind you all the crashes that happen every new issue?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Crashes, lag, yes, of course new issues have problems. But there's no way they'll let a patch go live that literally destroys nearly all game files.

Geek - "Blight" is my arc. You're thinking "Uncreation"

    [/ QUOTE ]

    DOH!

This is what I get for posting at work. Too bad it's currently unplayable.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Uncreation or Blight? Blight is perfectly playable, it's my arc "Closer to the Heart" that's broken at the moment.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Uncreation. What sucks is that Muu can't fix it because he can only edit his arcs when Footsteps Initiative is in the Hall of Fame. As far as I know it hasn't popped back into that status in weeks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, that answers a question I've been meaning to ask Muu. I was wondering if the extra arc slot you get from HoF is permanent, or only exists if an arc is currently in the HoF.

Someone was saying that, now that they've copied the live arcs over to the Test Server, it looks like they've changed the rating system to make it easier for arcs to maintain higher ratings. I really hope that's true, but I didn't think to see for myself during the brief time I was on Test yesterday. If it's true, hopefully it means HoF arcs will stay in the HoF for awhile.

Haven't tried anything yet but I am glad to not be the only one though.

Edit: Are the Devs going to do anything to fix this?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope. They're going to let it continue, so that when Issue 15 goes live almost no one can get on unless they manually fix their own game, and even then it won't work 100% of the time.

Sheesh. OF COURSE they're going to fix it. That's what they have a Test Server for, so that when something catastrophically wrong like this happens they can fix it before it gets to the Live Servers.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
But then what's the story with the patch that downloaded today?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It was trying to fix the destruction caused by downloading the patch yesterday. Some people, even when they get on the first time, find that they can't get on a second time because of missing files.

There was no new patch today. It was merely attempting to fix missing game files.

    Beautiful argument.

Unfortunately, since your suggestion is in regards to farming within the MA, it belongs in the official farming in the MA thread, just like all the other farming in the MA threads. Thus, while you've explained why it's in this forum, it's actually disregarding the specific requests of the moderators of this forum, which is against Rule 13. To rectify this situation, all you need to do is contact the moderators and let them know you would like this thread deleted. Once deleted, you can repost your suggestion in the appropriate thread.

    Have a nice day.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Having had Mod8 visit this thread twice, it would appear he disagrees with your conclusions.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No one's perfect. In this case, Mod8 has been very, very wrong to let this continue. At first, it was funny, but he really should have deleted it by this point.

If it weren't against the rules to call you a forum troll, I'd call you the biggest forum troll in forum trolling history.
  8. Yes, lots of people.

It seems like yesterday's patch is just randomly destroying lots of game files, including .pigg files. The problem doesn't seem to be the same for everyone, and the fixes that work for some people aren't working for everyone.
  9. Yep, this little glitch is a doozy. It's affecting quite a few people (see one thread on it here ). There are some workarounds going around (including some in that thread), but they don't seem to be working for everyone.

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Uncreation" by @muu is currently unplayable, unfortunately.
  12. I believe it *does* kick you out of the mission as soon as it's failed, just like Dev-created missions. And yes, you just continue on to the next mission.

Strange thing is that two of my other bases on two seperate servers are just fine...and there is not much diffrence in what's in them energy.controll wise so what gives ?
does anyone know whats up ?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Power also gets shut off when rent is due just before the lockout.

    Try paying your bases rent.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The OP says the rent is already paid.

Negative. Trust me, I've had this happen. The GMs will literally not look at the content of your arc unless it's been locked and you've either prodded CS about it or you flag your arc for review. They will do nothing at all if left on their own.

    [/ QUOTE ]

How many complaints does it take to get locked, or looked at by GMs? My Dev Choice arc has 8 or 9 complaints now (most of them aren't real complaints... the "complainer" didn't fill in any details so it's just the default text in the complaint box, and the others are about as laughable as the ones the OP says he got) but to my knowledge it hasn't been locked or anything.

I wonder if DC arcs are exempt from that process, anyway...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Would not surprise me that DC is exempt. Pointless to have a CS review it if a FREAKING DEV has looked at it and said it's a-okay.

Anyone petitioning a Dev's Choice arc is a moron.

[/ QUOTE ]Seems to me you shouldn't even be ABLE to report a Dev's Choice. Sheesh.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh, it's the only arc of mine that's been reported, even though I fully expected two of my other three to have some complaints. (Not that I would agree with them, but at least I could imagine why someone might feel the need...)

    Tickets

Note that with Issue 15, you can choose to receive tickets from Dev Choice missions instead of regular drops.

    No Power

It happens sometimes, usually when a base has gone inactive for quite some time. Send in a petition about it, and it should get fixed for you fairly quickly.
  19. Because people asked for it.

Some people don't like to outlevel content, like storyarcs or badge missions. The option to turn off XP gain was introduced when Patrol XP was, since outleveling content is even more of concern with that.
  20. Thanks for the great review!

Let’s up it to 11! – Smaller maps, more humor in some Victors Online bios

    [/ QUOTE ]

I made a pass through the arc last week and replaced a couple maps, so they're smaller than they were originally. I'll take another look when I go through it again sometime this week to spruce up the dialogue and bios a bit.
  21. If it weren't against forum rules to /jranger something, I'd sure /jranger this.
  22. Buying them at prices they can be vendored for is still cheaper than buying them at invention tables. If you see a ton of them being bought people are probably working on their crafting badges.

Nope, this is just my gaming rig, ive long since deleted everything that did not contribute to my gaming experience.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And you went ahead and checked if those components were there anyway? Lots of computers come with trial versions of Office that I bet include Speech & Handwriting Recognition. Also, if you computer ever had Office 2003 instead of 2007, the instructions for removing those components are different from what was given earlier in the thread.

It's just that the CiceroUIWndFrame *is* a Microsoft Office component. You wouldn't have it on your computer (and thus, the error message) if you didn't at some point have *some* version of Office installed (even a trial version that has since expired). Even if you un-installed the Office software, I have a feeling it wouldn't get rid of that component.
  24. [ QUOTE ]
Ah figures its excactly what it sounds like, for some reason i thought it had something to do with the game. Alas i have neither of those so i wonder what could be causing the same error for me as you guys?

You don't have Office 2003 or Office 2007 installed on your computer?
