Quote:When you accept the mission you get the following text. There is no way for me to scientifically KNOW I couldn't refill with a use remaining unless I reverse-engineered the source code, which is illegal. You lose.
Very good. Take this Ore Extractor and use it on all six meteors, then process the six ore chunks into a sample at one of the firebases scattered around the island. Defeat the turrets and reprogram the firebase. Only then can you process the ore. Bring me a sample and I'll make sure Lord Recluse knows you did your part.
There is no way for you to scientifically KNOW you would be able to refill or even get any kind of reward from the given text. So how did you think you would be able to get a shivan the 2nd time or even the first for that matter? You lose.
Edit to add.... just in case you were wondering the finish mish text is: Good work, Deathagizer Bunny. I'll make sure you get mentioned in our report about this. If you really want to impress the big bosses, we could use more samples. A lot of our guys aren't coming back thanks to all the capes. Still nothing that says you will get any kind of reward for doing it more than once. -
And now you know so don't do that anymore. I learned the hard way just like you but rather than compalin that it should be "fixed" I went on with my life with a lesson learned.
It is because of people like you that we have warnings on Preperation H to not take oraly. -
Totally agree. If the person wanted only lvl 50s they should say Lvl 50 only ITF.

Quote:10 Melee Sets
Iv had people say Super Strength has Superior AoE capability then half the other Melee sets for Tankers, and even throw up a DPS chart to try and prove it to me.Failing misserably with trying to tell me the AoE of Super Strength beats all the AoE and Cones Axe has for a Tanker.Simply by pointing out the Radius of Footstomp.
For AOE thanks to rage and footstomp together SS beats out....
1 Stone
2 Ice
3 Energy
4 Electric
5 Dark
To me that seems like SS has better AoE capability than half the other tanker sets.
On brutes (thanks to up to 3 AoE patron powers) it can also beat out claws, DB and FM with ease and can give axe and mace a run for the money on high recharge builds.
Just sayin. -
Ok now for my real answer
This shows similar attacks to GIS
GIS Recharge 10, End 10.2, Damage 87.2 Cast time 2.33
Gash Recharge 10, End 10.2, Damage 87.2 Cast time 1.5
Siphon Life Recharge 10, End 12 (due to heal), Damage 87.2 Cast time 1.93
Jawbreaker Recharge 10, End 10.2, Damage 87.2 Cast time 1.83
The main difference is the activation time as well as when you get the power. I could go for a remake of the animation to speed it up to less than 2 seconds but an increase in damage would only happen with an increase in endurance cost and recharge time.
Other than the low DPA, the main reason (I believe) that people assume GIS should do more damage is the fact that it shares the animation with Cleave, GFS and Shatter. All of wich do more than 100 base damage. A change to perhaps the Jawbreaker animation would help with that perception.
Also a change from Frozen Fists (plural) to Frozen Fist (singular) would be nice as most other sets with a 3 second recharge attack have an anmiation of 1 second or less.
The only other changes to how the powers would I would suggest would be to give the DoTs on the Frost and Freezing Touch the Midnight Grasp treatment. Put most of the damage up front with a smaller dot at the end. -
Main buff I would like to see is the ability to make my ice powers yellow.
-
Spine/fire/mu would be soooo wrong with brute patrons.
Which is mainly why I want one.
Honestly would rather just have spines given to brutes but I guess I would settle for a scrapper version. -
Would only go for this idea if the price for everything was 2 billion.
-
I feel your pain. I still get skipped over on my sonic/sonic defender because I can't heal. Nevermind that the tank will probably be at capped resists to everything but psi and everything around him/her will melt like butter. And forget that everyone in the bubble will have decent mez protection. We gotta have our healz!!!!!
-
From what I can tell, most of the animations are less than 2 seconds. They do seem a bit longer when you are not timing them due to the movement like clouded mentioned. The first 2 attacks are about 1 second and most of the others are in the 1.5 to 1.8 ish time frame. The aoe knockdown took about 2 seconds, the same as footstomp. The longer animaiton seemed to resemble soul drain time of 2.37 seconds and it also looked like that may be the build up type power but too early to speculate.
-
Would have to agree that 1 billion is not that much anymore. Once you get a decent farmer or learn to play the markets it does not take long to rake in the fake money. Hell 3-4 of the right purple drops and you have a billion right there.
-
Has been said already but to increase your chances of purples, kill more stuff. With 1 person set as an 8 man team your chances for drops will be much higher vs an 8 man team. This is probably why you noticed the increase on a team with only a few members. When I do my normal farm, it is not unusual to get 1 or 2 purples each run. But then again I also have to sell off my recipies about half way through the mish too.
Edit to add -- Of course after I brag about that I get 0 purples on the next run and terrible recipe drop rate overall. The joy of random drops. -
If you are needing to use a phase type power in PVE more than once every 2 min something is wrong. Either the difficulty is set to high or your team makeup needs some adjustments.
The only time you would face +3 or +4 AVs/Heroes would be on the RSF or the STF unless you put the difficulty as high as it can go on purpose. Sorry but I do not see a need to make the most difficult challanges in the game easier. Either move the difficulty down or get a better team to handle the endgame TFs/SFs. -
Mainly add numinas. Just made some minor changes, granted they could cost a bit but you cannot expect to beat Hero/AV level mobs on a budget build.

Not going to comment on the other stuff since I have no opinion. But as far as the email goes, we are getting the ability to email stuff to each other in I17.
Also you currently have the email options you are looking for under menu, options, general tab. Scroll down about half way down and you will get to the Email section. You can either totally disable email or make it so you can only get email from friends or those in your SG. -
I still say let us buy HOs with merits since we can pick either as a reward for certain tasks. Random roll for a certain amount and let us buy what we want for an inflated merit price.
-
Thread is for blue side farming, not AE farming using exploits that may or may not be there in the future.
-
Quote:Jab or boxing - Absolute AmazementSeriously, in this game economy 50 mil is nothing. I have earned more than that spending extra AE merits for dumb salvage to be auctioned while just getting 1-40. You need to take that 50 for a few strike forces/task forces/AE. Get some drops, get some merits, get some AE tickets.
My main is a SS/Will, but he is built for Rech/Damage, and has 4 purple sets slotted (I can afford the 5th, cannot squeeze it onto the build, infuriating).
Anyways, I asked for help with build advice, and someone posted that a mid's cheapy design for just your task. But 50 mil ain't gonna cut it I think. I will try to find the post and quote it for you.
KO Blow - Hecatomb
Footstomp - Armageddon
Ball Lighting - Ragnarock
Mu Lighting - Apocalypse
There is your 5 right there. Just have to settle for only one other attack.
As far as the OP, yea, 50 mill will not get you far. I would suggest having a final goal and working to that goal bit by bit. Even if that goal is something crazy like this one.

Quote:Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. How can someone overcharge if someone is willing to pay that price? If indeed they were overcharging, their stock would just sit on the market and no one would purchase at that higher price.
Another issue is 'flippers,' people buying up supply they never intend to use to overcharge when they sell it. This is no trouble for people with well established resources and connections, but is an irritation to casual/new gamers.
I searched quite a bit over the user agreement and could not find anywhere that stated you have a right to pay a low price for the items you want on the BM or in WW. -
SS/WP can farm decent spawns with just SOs if built right.
Solo farming works best since you can set up your insp the way you want and leave a couple empty spots. Then whatever drops, use it. This of course is true for any build though. -
Quote:Please expalin how somone deciding that they wish to keep their own property and use it at a later time instead of selling it now and having to buy it later at an even higher price is screwing everyone else.so, it's ok to screw everyone else as long as you can still get around the system? you talk about people hoarding and yet you are doing it yourself with enhancements that are in high demand. i think you need to jump off of the train your on and get on the right one cause this type of thinking gets you ignored.
-
I dont mind purples on farmers. Makes them so they can do SFs easier so they do not have just a single purpose. I use 5 armegeddon, I skip the damage one and include the proc and also the FF +recharge. Higher average damage that way.
-
Yup, I will be on blue side pissin off the tanks by running in before them while they are contemplating on where to pull the next group.
