Quote:Maybe he was going to write a story about his favorite pet kitty, because even evil monkeys love kitty's. And when he went to write about it, he saw that he had shrunk down into a little monkey, too small to pick up the pencil, which was now big. This made him a mad little monkey, and he started to plot an even more evil plan, although this time, he realized that the pencil was still too big for him to pick up... And that's when I took this picture. What horrible things has that pencil done to Mojo Jojo that have made that loveable monkey so mad?

With
SUPER POWERS!!!!
I was running SSA#6 for the first time, and I could not get the Charlie's Angels theme song out of my head for some reason.....Just had to share, it made me laugh.

Yep, I /bug every time I get it. I don't know why this particular one sticks around, but I've subconsciously learned to do the zooming in on the map trick. All the while doing mental gymnastics to see it as being directed to the wrong location and having to use detective work to find the right place.

Lovely idea. I personally have one myself. Halloween Havoc- Devil, Scarecrow, Skeleton, Werewolf, Ghost (saved zombie clown, robot, frankenstein, Vampire, and Witch for future costumes when I decide to unlock them.) FM/WP Scrapper, coloring the flames based on costume... Devil: Bright Red Hellfire, Scarecrow: Default Straw Fire, Skeleton: Yellow Bone, Werewolf: Silvery Bue Moon, Ghost: Haunting White (With further colors being Zombie Clown: Pink cotton candy, Robot: Multicolor plasma, Frankenstein: Green Chemicals, Vampire: Dark Red Blood, Witch: Black Magic.)
The only drawback is that I am very hard on myself with limitations on each character. His story was that he found a pair of boots and gloves in his grandfathers attic, when worn during the month of october, he is granted the powers of Halloween Havoc... A mischievous imp who shifts from one form to the next at random, bearing the signature gloves and boots (Samurai) in each form. So I can only play him one month a year. :P -
Lamentably no...
Found this out the hard way recently after a test respec of my bots/ff. -
I see Exalted as a chance to get a few names I missed out on early in my history... (Been playing since I2). Not obvious names like "Flame" or "Powerhouse" just a few obtuse names that were clearly snared in the primary rush, and held by those who loved them or lost to some inactive account somewhere.
Virtue has been full on my account for months, save for a few moments where I would delete a toon to make room for a new one. Those 12 extra slots will be full in no time on virtue, I'm sure. Got about 4 on champion, 6 on liberty, 2 on victory, and 2 on freedom, but I use up my freebies as soon as I get them. No biggie, I will surely drop a bit of cash in the store at launch... This altitis won't feed itself. -
Abraham Benrubi is rumored to be an avid player, as mentioned on his IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0072344/bio
Loved him in ER and Memphis Beat. I checked him into my hotel once, and if it were not for my inability to break from treating all guests the same, would have been pestering him to come hang out. I didn't even know he played CoH till after he had checked out. :P
This job is great... Michael Rooker, John Cena, General Tommy Franks, Randy Travis... It is fun to meet celebs, but a bummer if you stick to my rule of "Everyone is important." It makes the celebrities fall back, but I assume they appreciate the feeling of annonymity. -
Quote:I dunno ... I think it would be pretty close between Michael Clarke Duncan and Michael Dorn as to who would be the better Panthro ...
*Crickets*
LOL. No, I believe that MCD would be the better choice here. If for no other reason than I have called him "Panthro" since I saw him in Armageddon. He has the look, he has the build, he has the acting chops, he has the "Big cuddly teddy bear that could tear you clean in two" feel about him. Don't get me wrong, I love Michael Dorn, but I could see him as a "Bishop" from X-men, or Maybe DC's "Steel". If he were to be in Thundercats, I could see him doing "Monkian"... But only if they were to up his intelligence a bit. Make him more feral, a bit less startled caveman if you know what I mean.
No Michael Clark Duncan for Panthro buttons should be printed up at once and distributed to the masses. Make it happen! -
They would never be so blatant. I picture something akin to a poster of Marcus with his hands outstretched in a welcoming fashion, ushering a crowd of meek to a verdant field bursting with flowers (The non-tentacled type
.) With the words FREEDOM across the top, and the slogan "We can achieve it together." subtly inlaid.
That's some good ol' family propaganda there. (But not "The Family" Family, those guys would just hang posters of a missing person around the neighborhood with the words:
"Have you seen this man?"
"Last seen not doing what we told him to.") -
Married With Children, full of everything you seem to appreciate.
In Living Color, Sketch comedy show from the Wayans Brothers. Early Jim Carrey as Fire Marshall Bill! Lots of hip-hop and urban references, entirely entertaining.
Tracy Ullman Show, More sketch comedy from fox in the late 80's. Early simpsons shorts, wonderful Brittish wit.
Soap, Best comedy show of the 70's but ends on a cliffhanger...
Which leads me to...
My Name is Earl. Ended way too soon, but full of smart humor dressed up in a trailer-park shell (always wished Kevin Smith would have jumped in and helped his buddy out by keeping the show on air till they at least tied off some loose ends. Maybe someday a movie... R-rated... with lots of sunbathing Jamie Pressley at a nude beach.... But I digress... :P) -
Kentucky Fried Movie (so good it's bad.)
Deathstalker (so bad it's good.)
Monster Squad
Guyver 2 (live action)
Independance day
Airplane
Naked Gun Trillogy
Bicentennial Man
House of 1000 corpses
Street fighter
U.H.F.
Mystery Men
Starship Troopers
Idiocracy
And many more! Really, my collection (which occupies several towers, racks, and even ran all the electronics out of the entertainment center to make room for them.) Is full of movies that most people took issue with for one reason or another. -
From outside viewpoints, I can see a simple solution...
Just let the "helper" and "help me" tags be the only thing colored. Alternately, just give up and let everyone change their name color to whatever they want, but that opens a whole different can of worms.
It would be fun to have gm's pose as "help me" and "helper" and approach those using the system for purely cosmetic reasons. If a helper refuses help, tag em to not take that flag anymore. If an offer to help is met with hostility or "I know how to play the game." Type arrogance, do the same.
I know it does not hurt me, but some are seemingly offended by this. It is the unintended use of the feature, and how its spirit was rendered null within seconds of going live.
Unfortunate... -
Don't listen to the naysayers. My first 50 came 4 years after launch, and was a DB/WP brute. Took me so little time, since I just found it a blast to play.
Work those combos, and you will be rewarded with grand returns. I took every attack power just so I had all combo options available to me when I needed em. YMMV.
Enjoy what you enjoy. Never let anyone ever tell you how to enjoy yourself. -
Shhh! Nothing to see here, but free press. :P I say roll with it...
Oh, and gonna go find me that book now... -
Worst or Last? Mr Wells was in declining health as they wrapped up production, forcing them to synthesize most of Unicron's lines by computer. I had always heard Nimoy loved doing it, but I never pretend to know that which I am not 100 percent on.

I think that's who it is supposed to be, but michael bay has no idea what transformers are. the movies are entertaining, but he missed the mark so far you need a space bridge to find it. just see it as I do, it's a new form of transformers for a new generation. Optimus was the first Prime, all others are Bayposters!
ALPHA TRION forever! -
Actually, I switched to a mifi from verizon with a 5 gig limit recently myself. Usually works aces for me, though it is, at rare times, poor and may cause disconnection issues.
Of the 5 gig I have, I have yet to use more than one a month, and I play often. An hour may use up 20 meg if I am in heavy traffic areas and on a full team. Hope that helps. -
The only thing better than reading stories like this, is living it yourself. nothing makes you feel quite as grand as standing around after a glorious battle, and realizing you are the only one not eating pavement. blasters always tend to remind us why they are the kings of damage.
I love it. Special kudos to Protector X, that was quite a feat...
Whats so bad about soloing to 50? I can see your point though, it has been a while since i've had both the time, and reliable connection to team comfortably. I must find the time to oil my teaming muscles. -
Quote:When did we get the tip missions that put us on this side of the interwebs? Can I switch back at any time, or do I fot to wait a week for the cooldown timer? :PFirst off, welcome to the Community! We're glad to have you and Beastyle will be by with the welcome casserole eventually.
Secondly, just looking at the responses in this thread is a great example of what's so awesome about the CoH Community. While critical at times, we are, for the most part, some of the most helpful, friendly and occasionally hilarious folks you'll ever find this side of the intarwebs.

Always nice to see there is still an influx of people uncovering this treasure that was hiding in plain sight for neigh on to 7 years.
Welcome home. This was my first and only MMO I will admit to playing. In my eyes, nothing comes even close to holding my interest as this shiny pearl in pebbles does. Don't just scratch the surface, dig in with both hands (and feet and tails if they are prehensile.) and revel in what I consider the elite of the gaming world. It's not our quantity that is measured, it is our quality. Come for the scenery, stay for the cookies!
BLAP!
POW!
BAM!
ZOWIE! -
I wholeheartedly, entirely, completely, emphatically, infinitely, especially, majorly, totally, agree...
That is all. -
Quote:I don't think they will let you do that to a lock, this is a T rated game.
Wall safes and combo-locks should have a way to ***** the lock (mini-game) maybe have tumblers which you can use your mouse to move back and forth and listen to the sound. Maybe there would be a visual clue like there would be three ligths which would light up as you rotate the combination.
But I agree that more options are better. So many times I wanted to bust through a door I knew had baddies on the other side, and to be able to close doors behind you would make some flights fun. Just to delay a boss (that may just bust it down as well.) by shutting a door behind you as you flee could invoke many a fun time, and throw that random "EPIC" moment into the mix. -
