  1. My keyboard died so I upgrade to a Steelseries Stealth Merc. I dl the software from the website and installed on my computer. I setup my binds in the program provided by Steelseries.

However when I log into the game, none of binds work. They seem set for keyboard default, I've tried to google the issue. Trying to figure out what I'm missing.

TFs require teams, storyarcs should be made to be solo'd at the basic level. If people want a challenge they can raise the difficulty. Nobody should be forced to team if they don't want to be in a group.

I would say the Tier 1 pets, they attack faster and more often. So they would have the best chance to use the buff, when it actually fires.

I didn't state this to brag, I stated it because I've tried the proc at least once in all those toons. In the end I decided against the proc in favour of maximizing other areas of the their respected pets. I couldn't warrant using a proc that rarely fired and didn't always fire in the right situations. Versus using enhancements that were always on or in some cases damage procs that had a better chance for increasing damage.

    Examples:

    *Thugs
*Enforcer: Slotted with Achilles Heel: Chance for -Res
*Bruiser: Slotted with Explosive Strike: Chance for Smashing damage
(Pre-pet recharge change, I had the bruiser slotted with the +rech proc. It worked, increased his dps, sadly no more)

    *Necro
*Lich: Slotted with Clouded Senses: Chance for Neg Damage.

    *Mercs
*All Pets: Slotted with Achilles Heel: Chance for -Res

Granted all my MMs and my Earth/Thermal controller are slotted with the +Resist +Def pet IOs. Those are a no brainer though, since it helps everything.

Liked I mentioned in my previous post, I don't have a demon MM. So I can't really say what would be the best slotting. I don't like to guess just based off what can be slotted in MIDs. Things on paper are not always the same when applied to actual usage.

If the proc checks per target hit by an AoE attack, and it buffs every pet in a given tier, then Summon Demons might be superior to Demonlings because of the targeting geometry available to the Tier II Demon AoE attacks (Fireball 15' radius, Hellfire Burst 15' radius, Fire Breath, Breath of Hell Fire, and Hellfire Aura.) That amounts to a significant uptime for Build Up.
Yup sounds like that would be the best choice, take it to the Test server and try it before you change your live build. I would like to hear your test results. ATM trying to decide on a secondary for my Demon MM

Did you monitor the healing received channel? Old bug, some procs show in this channel only. I'll go test it myself later, not gonna waste a respec just to test this.

I recall a lot of posters stating that it buffed all pets summoned by a skill when a single pet's attack initiates the proc. So if a single Demonling activates the proc, then all 3 receive the benefit. It's superior on them if that's the case. I might just have to check it myself as I have 2 different answers so far.

Also, I am splitting the full set into two sets of 3 for 32% regen and 6% max hp. So the question is ultimately how am I dividing the IOs and who gets stuck with the proc.
I have 5 MMs, 4 controllers, 1 Dom (With his pets ) at 50. It affects all tiers, its more effective in some then others. As I stated earlier its more effective in fast attacking pets. I don't personally know how faster demon pets attack, so I can't say if its more effective. (I really should just roll a demon MM lol)

Since when? I had it work on mine, I switched out the set in favour of the pet recharge sets though. So I'm curious as to when it stopped working, as it is a pet set and fire imps are indeed pets. I don't see the Devs changing a pet set to not work on a pet.
  7. Last I checked it when it proc'd it affected all pets of that Tier. Its better served in pets that attack fast and often. Example: Fire Imps, Phantom Army. Its been a while since I've even used the proc, so if you have evidence otherwise to its change I would like to see.

I don't have a demon MM myself, but IIRC the tier 2 pets buff resist/heal and deal a good amount of damage. IMO I would frakenslot them to maximize these roles, a random damage buff wouldn't do as much.

    Traps' Time Bomb

Skipped it on my Sonic/Traps Corr, if you run on teams frequently skip the power. Name a team of people that will let you sleep a group, place a time bomb, and wait? I've never even seen a team wait for trip mine, doubtful Time Bomb will make much use. Maybe in situations like the platform and roofs of the ITF, you might find some use. But, IMO not worth taking. Might I add this power can be interrupted, making using it effectively a bit difficult at times.

    ATs and Genders

Almost all my toons are male, one toon out of my 37 50s is female. She is a Necro/Traps MM, I do have one other female toon. She is an Elec/Rad controller. I have at least one of every AT (except kheld) at 50.

My wife plays only female toons and she has several ATs at 50, I think she is missing a Tank, Kheld, and soldier.

    VEATs and You

I already have VEATs unlocked so I can't test this myself. They do indeed unlock at level 20 and I believe you need to be from primal earth to unlocked them. Simple way to find out is since your toon was created in Prea, can you make a VEAT? If you can't then you need to roll a villain out in primal earth and get that toon to 20.
  12. I have a Bane and Huntsman, no crab as of yet.

But the question is crab vs bane.

    ST Damage: Bane > Crab
    AoE Damage: Bane < Crab

Can't really compare much else, yes the crab has Fortitude. However my Bane is softcapped to positionals so thats another argument. I guess its a matter of taste since neither is really better. Bane is like playing a scrapper/stalker. Crab is like playing a sturdy Blaster with slightly less DPS, they do get an extra pet though.
  13. The jump is random, I've learned to just treat the attack as a ST attack. Elec Melee has a ton of AoE to worry about just that one attack.

  20. I have 3 perma-doms and respecing them wasn't an issue, a few extra LoTGs in two of them was nice. But I'm at a total loss of what to slot for them on their alpha slot. I know recharge is nice, but they're already perma'd. Purples sets make the acc boost unneeded. No endurance issues because domination refills the bar and inspirations fill the holes. Guess I could do damage, but all their attack powers are in the 90% area for their attacks. Any suggestions?

    My doms are: Fire/Psi, Plant/Fire, Mind/Nrg

Holding just ten is fine by me, too much would clutter up the game. How do you feel about being able to pull out enhancements at 50 straight from the enhancement screen? Just drag them into the "holding" bar, whats done with it after at user discretion.

    @Deacon_NA

What annoys me about the email system is only being able to mail things one at a time. Seeing as groups are not co-op and my main group is villains side. I find myself sending lots of things back and forth to either be stored or slotted. Being able to mail maybe 5 at a time would be very nice. Of course the Devs could just make groups Co-Op and I'll shut the hell up.

Personally, I don't ever bother with IOs until I'm absolutely certain I am keeping the character. And I have never changed any of their builds to the point that I need to pull out 20 IOs because I can't use them anymore.

You say you earned your IOs. Okay, I won't dispute that, I'm sure you did. But what is stopping you from earning them for the new character you want them on? That way you have IOs on the new character, and your old character is still just as powerful as they were before. It's a win/win.

Perhaps I misspoke on the greed comment, it's really more like stinginess, with a dose of laziness. A lot of people go to the effort of IOing out a character and then decide that they'd rather just use the same IOs on a new character rather than go to the effort of earning them again. Again, why would you strip the IOs from one character to use them on another, when you could just IO the second character with new ones and have TWO IOed characters? Upgrading with higher level IOs only gives you a fraction of a percent of additional effectiveness, is that 2.1% more end reduction really worth it?

Or is it a case of people wanting to play the newest flavor of the month and they don't want to go to the effort of IOing them out because they are going to play the next flavor of the month when it becomes popular?

Me? I don't play FOTM characters unless I actually have an interest in the sets, so I'm not going to ditch a character because something else came out that will do the same thing slightly better.

There is also the point that, as of right now, IOs are still optional. You don't need to use them, you want to use them. That may change in the future, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The only way to increase how many IOs we can remove from a character would be to increase the number of enhancements we can carry at a time. I don't think the devs will be too keen on the idea of allowing an individual character to carry upwards of 60 enhancements at once, because that would enable the hoarding mentality they have expressed concern over.

And once again you bring up color customization as something they said "no" on and later changed their minds, while ignoring the fact that they originally said no because they lacked the manpower to get it done, rather than because they didn't want us to have it. If they had the employees back then that they have now, it probably would have been done a long time ago.

Their stance on pulling more than 10 enhancements in a respec is similar to their stance on allowing a full respec of primary and secondary powersets. They didn't say no because they can't do it, they said no because it is something they do not want us to be able to do. If and when they change their stance on that it may change, but "We want this thing you keep outright telling us NO about"* isn't going to change their minds.

(* Is a rough approximation of what every post demanding this change is essentially saying, whether the poster realizes it or not)
Sometimes changes warrant more room to work with when respecing your toons. When the Invun changes came, I totally redid the IOs on my Invun toon. It required 2 respecs to remove IOs w/o losing inf from their net worth.

Granted sets don't change drastically all that often, its honestly a silly argument. What's really wrong with a rework of the respec system? A QoL feature many would enjoy. All I'm saying is a feature introduced in Issue 2, 7 issues before IOs were introduced is outdated.

Yes, they lacked the man power to introduce customization. But, businesses are always subject to manpower. With enough manpower nearly anything is possible to code into the game.

A simple fix instead of allowing more then ten enhancements being held. It would be to allow level 50 toons to drag enhancements from their powers. I have no idea how much would be required to code this feature.

As an example of how this feature would be great is when IOs are changed. When the PGT changes went through, I had to respec my whole toon. Would of been nice just to slide the enhancements out and move my slots to something else. I guess MIDS has spoiled me to this possibility. I would personally love to the know where the Devs stand on this.

Thus far, the devs have given no indication that they are ever going to reconsider their stance on that. And personally, I haven't ever changed a character so much that I NEEDED to pull more than 10 enhancements off of it.

Now, if you're deleting the character and want to keep the IOs, that's one thing. But if you're deleting the character anyway, what difference does it make if you burn through all of that character's respecs? Are you planning on playing the character again after you delete it?

I would be all for a revamp of how respeccing actually works, as far as being able to go in and make small changes without having to do everything all over again. But keeping only 10 enhancements probably isn't going to change, and I don't really think it should.

I see no reason other than greed why we should be able to keep everything from a character all at once.

It's only a video game, when the servers eventually shut down (probably not for a long while yet) we are all going to lose everything we worked on anyway, so why does it matter that you might lose a few things now?

Sure, you spent time on it, but if you enjoyed that time it was time well spent, regardless of whether you have anything to show for it later. I know people that spend 3-4 hours detailing their car every week, which would seem like wasted time to a lot of people, but they enjoyed doing it, so for them it was time well spent.
Yes, when originally created they were meant to be permanent, that was 6 years ago before IOS existed. Its simply a quality of life request to revamp the respec system. Lots of things changed in those 6 years, they once said no color customization for powers. There was no "need" for the change other then to make the game more aesthetically pleasing.

Yes, the servers will shutdown one day and we will lose everything anyway. That's the life of online games, but, the games alive and well today.

How is it Greed? I worked for my IOs, I farmed, I worked the market. I wasn't handed everything my toons have. I see no good reason why I shouldn't be allowed to keep what I've worked for.

Edit: Just to add, a majority of the IOs I did pull out with my respecs went to friends who needed them. Again I ask, how is that Greed?

Edit 2: I see enhancements as assets, we should be able to move assets without hindrances. If I bought a computer for an office, say I upgrade it with another computer years later. Should I be required to throw that computer out? Why not donate it to someone who needs it?
