  1. Can they code them? Yes.

    Will they code them? No

    Why?

    1) Because the games rated teen and the devs answer to other people.
    2) Chance of abuse, would have to be retarded to not see this coming. See answer 1
    3) As others stated, its a lot to code and reasons 1 and 2 are why they ain't wasting their time.

    So in short, wont happen.

I personally don't care either way, I'm just stating why it wont happen.
  2. Unless the MM deliberately places his pets next to the BM rep, they don't block at all. Since pets always stop a few feet behind the MM. But, pets even bots shielding isn't nearly as annoying as someone spamming heal auras. Or the random person who decides to buff everyone standing at the BM. "Yes mr/mrs kin, thanks for the SB, I'm sure my stuff will sell faster now"
  3. Oh I don't expect people to all have one build, the main goal is "are you having fun?" Long as you are its all gravy in the end eh.

I'm a min/maxer by nature so thats where most of my judgements root, I've also rolled a Necro/Thermal. But very different from yours as "uberness" does matter for me to have fun.

But yea for concept its great, my Necro/Thermal is named "Disco Is Dead". He's a zombie in a yellow suit w/ an affro , naming all my zombies after dead disco artist All my powers are multicolored lol
  4. Yep till taunt affect wears off.

Copy & Paste sucks at times.
Its fine, I mean personally I disabled mine the day this forum went live. I believe people should post w/o regard to how others rep them. An truthful post yields better results then one candy coated for brownie points. In that regard, I don't rep anyone good or bad

On the /FF topic though, PFF is a powerful defense power. Being able to use it and interact w/ pets would overpower /FF a lot.
  6. Can I ask why? I mean with mitigation done right you've got more HP and resist then a Tank. Shields + pet procs are awesome when combined.

Currently your lich does pretty much no damage and you have your attacks which are bascially useless for real damage endgame. More then one travel on a mastermind IMO is a waste of a power.

In my experience at having 5 MMs at 50, I've seen no need for being softcapped. Mainly because whats the use if you're alive if your pets die due to lack of support. Yea you'll live through most but you get progress any.

Sure, you've got the shields, but you need to keep on top of those every 4.5 minutes, and you're still going to be doing a good amount of healing (especially on Zombies........but that's another thread).
    Necro/Thermal is a great pairing when IO'd

Thermal Shields (Slotted w/ 3 Resist IO) + 2 Pet Resist Procs Gives you:

Fire Resist: 67% (Necros biggest weakness)
    Others(Lower on Cold): 43.8%

With heals, debuffs, and Forge, its got a lot of synergy going for itself. Also you can slot the 2 Def procs for a +10% def to all, which synergies wth all the -tohit in the pets ranged attacks. Not a lot of def mind you, but its better then zero.
  8. You can't skip spears its a tier 1 power

I agree on pots being skipped, radius is tiny and the cost is pretty high. I still would slot out fissure in a fire/earth because of stacking stuns. I made myself a Grav/Earth to stack some stuns as well. I plan to wormhole things into earths small radius powers

No its just something I don't understand, your in a Force Field, yet you cant communicate to your minions. Heck I can't even make them emote.

Same with rest, even without buffs or anything else, if I am resting, I cant communicate commands to my minions. Explain that then. No bubble, major -neg resist to all damage and for some reason I can't tell my minons to do anything?

Oh and by the way, I'm not a troll, this is a genuine question. Thanks for neg repping me.
Written after quoting me, before quoting something else. Looks pretty directed at me instead of the public. Read what you write please.

Again what do you even care, you have rep disabled.
  10. @GibberingLunatic, I didn't neg rep you, I don't even use the system. Mines been disabled since the new forums started. Why do you even care, you have yours disabled as well.

A second choice would be a way to go on this, I agree. Just have it lock out powers, like Widows having to choose between Follow Up and Buldup. Or just have them shut each other off.

    Pain or Thermal

    I like both sets.

I've got a thermal controller, a pain MM, and a pain corr. All at 50

Thermal will be better for MMs IMO, because MMs survive better by preventing damage to pets. Healing is great, but w/ pet hitpoints, cutting down on the incoming damage is best. Pains WoP is a great buff, but isn't perm out of the box.

    So to answer the question.

    Non IO'd
    Thermal > Pain

    Fully IO'd
    Thermal = Pain

Just from my experience mind you.

For those who don't understand what I'm getting at, bring up your personal force field then try issuing commands. For some reason, even though it says (affecting self only) your mini-army is NOT yourself and therefore free to do whatever they wish. So why can't we give our MM pets commands while shielded?

  14. I vote yes BABs, I would love a chance to have my granite brute look different from the granite next to me. Not to mention people who have wanted claw/stones would be able to make them.

To those opposed for RP reasons, simply buy the science pack and make a costume to show the size change.
  15. Good to know it works,

I haven't rebuilt my necro MMs after the recharge change, I'll wait to see if there is a freespec after i16.
  16. lol ah beta memories, sadly I don't know the origins.
  17. Remember two things when dealing with CS

    1) They really just wanna get rid of your ticket asap, actual work to see through a problem is normally brushed off. The old "bring to higher GM" is to avoid having to their job. Normally this higher GM just explains how they can do nothing with a cut/paste reply.

    2) You'd be damn lucky if you get a GM that actually knows what the hell you're talking about.

    Example 1:
Ticket Sent: "Contact: Burke" "Mission: Steal a Cape from a Hero" "Problem: Boss did not spawn on villains cape mission"

GM: Hi Can you tell me the contact and name of mission?
Gypsy: **repeats ticket** (Do they read the tickets?)
GM: One Moment (5minutes of silence, no idea why)
GM: Invite me to your team
**You cannot invite enemy to team** (o.O where did this show I was on a hero)
Gypsy: I can't invte you, you're on a hero. This is a villain mission.
GM: One moment (another 2 minutes of silence, hoping he's switching redside)
GM: Invite me to your team
**You cannot invite enemy to team**
Gypsy: *sigh* You need to be on a villain, "Steal a Cape" is NOT a hero mission
GM: One Moment (Another 2 minutes of silence, o.o;; )
GM: Invite me to your team.
    GM Joins Team (FINALLY)
GM: Did you destroy the statues? (really? i mean really?)
Gypsy: Yes all objectives cleared, boss not spawning
GM: There are still enemies on the map
Gypsy: This isn't a clear map mission, You only need to destroy the statues. After defeat all ambushes to finish mission.
    GM: One moment (Why?? LoL)
GM: Would you like for me to complete this mission? (Now I really wanted to say "No I'm enjoying our conversation it's amazing")
    Gypsy: Yes Please
    Mission Completed
GM: Is there anything else I can do for you.
**Places GM on Ignore** (I couldn't stand it lol)

    Example 2:
Contact: "City Rep" Mission: "Cape Mission(Can't recall the exact name, I don't play blueside much)" Problem: "Group did not spawn around capsule"

GM: Please tell me the name of the contact and mission plz.
    Gypsy: *repeats ticket* (lulz)
GM: One Moment (3 minutes pass)
GM: Invite me to your team.
GM Joins Team (Yay, first try, go blue lulz)
GM: One Moment (Bout a minute passes)
GM: You didn't destroy the capsule yet (o.O;; wtf)
Gypsy: Um, yea, I'm suppose to save the capsule not destroy it.
GM: One Moment (Oh if i had 1000 infamy everytime lol)
GM: Would you like for me to complete the mission.........

You get the idea, I honestly don't expect much. I get more GMs who don't have a clue how to play this game. Rarely do I get one that knows what they're talking about. Normally its taken care of in under 5 minutes. I normally just reset or auto complete, here to have fun, not deal with them.

Not much we can do about it, I just hope one day they have it be a req that CS are required to know the dang game.

    Pain vs. Empathy

    @ Macskull:

Comparing tier by tier is silly because not all sets are setup where their tiers make a whole lot of sense. Look at sets like Traps, clearly PGT, and FFG are much more helpful then its Tier 9 Timebomb.

    @ Muon_Neutrino:

My WoP on my Corr and MM are perm, so I have to disagree on your comment about "only 70% of the time".

Another note that just crossed my mind, we're comparing a primary to a secondary. That's just silly, we could beat this horse dead in the end it wont matter. I prefer Pain over Empathy. Some prefer Empathy over Pain, just as long as the person playing either does their job.

    Pain vs. Empathy

    Quote:
Your description of the benefits of Pain make it sound like a Sonic who doesn't take his shields. Emps can keep AB Permanent on someone. They also can Fortitude more than just "one or two".
Except Pain heals, sonic and pain are worlds apart and excel differently.

    Quote:
And no, alone and solo wasn't the "challenge to begin with".
    Indeed, this was the challenge.

Nope when you get a bunch of pains together, you get stacked WoP, stacked Debuffs, stacked painbringer. You can't state that's nothing.

    Quote:
When comparing the sets all I see is...
World of Pain, Anguishing Cry and 1/2 a Adrenaline Boost verse Fortitude, Regeneration Aura, Recovery Aura and the real Adrenaline Boost. 2 1/2 to 4.
WoP can be made perm w/o help of another Pain in the group. Emps can't keep auras perm, they also can't keep AB perm.

    Quote:
Two Emps together can AB/Fort each other and alternate RAs and keep them permanent for a whole team. I don't see how Pain can compare to that. If Pain actually had Adrenaline Boost and Soothing Aura was ANYTHING else then there'd be an interesting debate. Right now all I see is team verse solo.
Two Pains can keep 2 stacked WoP perma, if the other ones slotted like mine. You could have 35% Resist to all, 26% +tohit, and 32% +damage. On the whole group, not just one or two like fort and AB. Mind you w/o outside recharge buffs, I do agree that Soothing Aura is crap. Which is why I skipped it on my Corr.

    Quote:
I made a purpled out Pain Corruptor on test with the level bump. Whenever I think about making a character with Pain Domination I go on and play my test 50 purpled Pain Cor for 15 minutes to refresh my memory on how much I despise the set and how far Pain is from having all the stuff I love about Empathy. The whole set, to me, is two and a half powers.
That's fine, you have a right to your opinion as do I. I personally can't stand empathy but have two Pains at 50. I don't knock empathy its a great set, just one, its not for me and two, it doesn't fit my playstyle. My Rad/Pain corr is a mini tank, that heals/debuffs/buffs/rez. I still don't see emps doing that to themselves, which was the challenge to begin with mind you.

Both sets do what they were intended to do, I'm glad it wasn't a copy paste. IMO a stronger toon supports the team better. I build all my toons for solo, as that means they will survive better on teams. Surviving longer helps the team better as a whole.
  21. Gypsy_of_Paradox

    Pain vs. Empathy

    Pain > Empathy no challenge.

Mine is a lvl 50 Fully IOd/Proc'd Out, Rad Blast/Pain

Rad Blast Debuffs (Damage procs and -res procs)

Perma WoP ( Yes Perma )

Show me an empath with this:

    66% s/l, 33% neg, 23% all other types...

...that can also blast, heal, buff, debuff, rez.

My Merc/Pain MM is a beast as well, oh and lets not forget Painbringer.

Empathy is fine, not saying it sucks. But, if I was running a TF/SF and the person asked if I wanted him to being his emp or pain, I'd pick pain.
  22. Get it, use it, love it, slot it with Contagious Confusion, love it more.

less xp blah blah blah seriously, how much xp is it worth if you're eating dirt by not using it.
I'm sure the tank wont complain when close to death and u mass confuse the mobs around him saving his skin.
  23. Only commenting on the OPs build, to be blunt. Its Horrid. I speak from having two lvl 50 /Storms and two lvl 50 plant control. One just happens to be a lvl 50 Plant/Storm. I see wasted slots and it seems you were only slotting for recovery bonus. Yet its missing Miracle +Recovery and a Performance Shifter +end. IMO this will underperform and you wont be happy.

Here's my build, lower recovery yes, but not at the risk of toon performance. Also not really money saving when you've got several purples slotted eh? I do fine in normal gameplay and pop conserve energy if need during AV fights. Noticed you had fly, could drop recall friend and SS for hover and fly if that's your preference. I prefer SS

Blueside, A TF or kill 200 Eyeballs

Redside, get to 40, do a flashback. (Normally takes me solo under 20 minutes)
