ok, so i just read the update on the epic power pools, and i have to say i think they will be very very bad.
[/ QUOTE ]
Dude, this Epic Power pools were promised ages ago. Ever since I got on boar I heard about power pools that could give scrappers ranged attacks, defenses for blasters and damage to tankers.
Now you scream "DOOM"? -

Ah - one more thing. We're adding a new Inspiration that you can use to wake up from Sleep, Stun, Hold & Immobilize.
Yep - so if you're stunned, wobbling back and forth - you can use this Inspiration and WHAMMO - you're ready for action.

My prayers have been answered. I guess I can turn San Antonio back to his regular position. -
Are there plans to remove the "question marks" from the Souvenirs and replace them with images? Like the images the whole badge system has? I'd love to see an actual "letter of requiem" or "captain indomitable uni-bands".

Please don't skirt the questions.
I know Statesman's background. This is his first game, however it is not the first for the entire team. I am sure that the last 4 years have given Statesman enough knowledge to be able to get a laugh out of your comments. I am sure he has a keen understanding of the process of adding content and changing exisiting content.
You are quoting unrealistic times and boasting about talents we only have your word on. You will excuse me if I feel Statesman was LOLing at your comment.

You must mean that place no one ever goes because the mobs are tweaked out where even the minions chain hold.
[/ QUOTE ]
What minions would these be?
Shadow Shard mobs only in the large packs with eyeballs or bosses are hard as hell. But this is a hazard zone. Not meant to solo a huge pack like that.
There is one hundred times the numbers of nemesis and crey in the shadow shard then in any other zone.
The storm palace is the only place with level 53 mobs.
Naviaging takes patience and memory.
Once you get the hang of it going through the zones is fast.
Kora fruit missions are the only place to get an endless supply of third tier inspirations. Want a hard taskforce or hard missions shadow shard got them.
Want a challenge and the monsters in PI bore you or AVs do so head out to the shadow shard.
Oh one thing there is a reason disicplines exist and only the overseers hold.
Natterlings it takes 15 hits to buildup to hold you.
You get held more often by ink men minions then natterlings.
As usuall the people that powerleveled themselves up are wussies.
[/ QUOTE ]
When you assume... screwit, you're just an idiot. First of all, powerleveled? No, 'fraid not. My 50 soloed every single level. Netterlings usually fly in huge groups and pretty much insta-hold, meanwhile you've got some eye looking thing throwing fireblasts at snipe range. That's just a bit unbalanced when you've got equal level mobs called Nemesis that don't even have holds, much less on every single minion. I guess I should remind you that hold pretty much means dead unless you have a healer around, and if you have anyone who is dumb enough to team with you in the Shadow Shard I guess you're lucky.
And the best reward they can offer in this entire game is inspirations...

Then go. I hear SWG is working fine this time of year.
WoW is just around the corner.
EQ2 could use a skilled designer such as you. If in under 10 minutes you can create a new tileset, hell, in 1 day you could rock the entire MMORPG genre.
In 1 week, you'd create a gaming-RL utopia! Two PIES for every boy!
and in...dare I say it...1 month?
YOU'D BE A GOD!
The universe torn asunder by the might of your power! Your uberl337ness!
You're like...our Clockwork King! Behold his mighty Footstomp!

Already gone... playing the WoW beta right now.
And yeah, if I had the money to buy the game engine that CoH uses, hire 2-3 programmers, I'm pretty sure I could do better. Crazy huh?

Yeah, and just last week I froze the Niagara Falls using one ice cube. -

I'm holding my judgement on Update 3 at least until it hits the Test Server. It's foolish to complain about something that is available only as rumors, comments and very few statements.

Manticore TF is broken. We cannot make contact with Miss Liberty. She's won't give us the contact info we need to proceed. Entire TF /bugged and so far we've been waiting in Atlas for 40 minutes.
Hope you guys can fix this soon. -

Whereas totems are pretty much surrounded in flames, only Adamastor's eyes glow enough to make him out at a distance - and he doesn't float, he walks.
[/ QUOTE ]
I know.
But when you see him thru the distance, you see him "float" in the blackness that is Dark Astoria. I'm sure he's walking, but in the pitch-blackness of the map, his "glowing" figure is more evident.
And all the times I've seen him, his back is to me. I see the large orangy body, not the eyes.
[ QUOTE ]
It's probably worth sending a broadcast if you do spot him as there are plenty of people wanting his badge. A single lvl 30 blaster will probably have a hard time taking down a lvl 29 monster (he conned yellow to me as a lvl 33).
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree. I sent a broadcast to the over 10 players that were on the map, but only one answered my call. Adamastor was a nice blue to my level 35 and gave no XP. but the badge was cool, though.
Oh, and here are some screenies from the Kraken.
Kraken
More Kraken
taking him down
Now that I know it is spawning, I'll give him a try with my level 16 blaster. God knows he could use the XP. -

He was close to the north wall on Moth Cemetery. You can see him from hundreds of yards away.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can't see anything from even a singular hundred yards away in DA...using cheats to remove the fog from the zone can get your account banned.
[/ QUOTE ]
Heh.
Heheheh.
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA.
geez, this is priceless. Ok, I can safely assume you haven't seen hide nor hair of Adamastor.
First: I wouldn't begin to know how to make a client side cheat for CoH. Reasons: I don't want to get banned from a game I truly love. Second: dude, I have a hard time /binding. I wouldn't know a pigg from a blankket.
Second: As I flew over Dark Astoria, zeroing in on Moth Cemetery I saw a green glowing floating figure. It was huge from the distance I saw him. From his size, it was impossible to confuse him with anything but Adamastor. Totems are roughly 1/5th of the size he is.
It's not my fault that you cant' find him. I didn't cheat. And almost every other player that has seen him has the same opinion: you can see Adamastor from a huge distance. Are they cheating too?
Screenies. Please don't tell me I cheated and removed the fog. When you're close to things, the fog lifts on its own. Amazing thing, really.
Meeting Adamastor See Adamastor down -
After months of looking, I found Adamastor this morning. Very early, very few players on the server. He was close to the north wall on Moth Cemetery. You can see him from hundreds of yards away.
Kraken spawns at night in Perez Park. A tad south from the Bettis Hills marker. And he respawns maybe 10 seconds after you kill him. I saw him, broadcasted for other heroes to join me, got no answer and took him.
He respawned. I re-broadcasted. A lone Claws scrapper two shot him.
He respawned. I re-broadcasted and 2 level 11 heroes teammed with me to take them down. I did all the damage and they got their badges.
He respawned, but by that time we were outta there.
Now, when the word is given, rest assured that I will hunt Boomtown for Babbage. I got a screenie with him duking it out with my tenebrous Tentacles. I itch to see him fight my servant. -
I am having fun.
I will get to 50.
They are not mutually exclusive. -
I got the TF badges and many badges from storylines I had forgotten. I'm all set with them. Except for the babbage killer one.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I'm have the same issue. I received my others retroactive. But not the Synapse.
[/ QUOTE ]
Way back in the day, my team and I did the Synapse Task Force. Twice. We defeated babbage. Once. We couldnt' twice because the server booted us and when wer returned there was no babbage on sight.
All in all, I don't have the Babbage badge.
So, does the Babbage on Synapse's count for the badge? Or is it on another, upper level mission? I heard he no longer spawns on boomtown, so where could I find him and beat him? -
[ QUOTE ]
My opinion is that Statesman is going to try to make a trio of level 35 (or any level) white minions just as challenging to a level 35 character as a trio of level 5 white minions was to a level 5 character.
If you had no trouble wiping out three level 5 minions at level 5, then you may also have no trouble taking out three even con minions in the future. If you struggled with them, you might find yourself struggling again.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, at level 5 I only had 4 powers: 2 blasts, 1 slower and 1 heal.. At 34 I have 3 blasts, 1 heal, 1 immobilizer, 1 hold, 1 slow, 1 pet and 2x the endurance, 1 stealth, 1 debuffer, 1 intangible...
I don't think it's fair to have a character with that build and have him barely chug along. -

Got a questions about enhancments...
Is it better to slot a dual enhancement that has a 15 or a generic 20??
I wish there was some indication of which is more beneficial! And whats better - a 15++ or a 16 (both generic)?
Is there a formula so i can figure these out?
[/ QUOTE ]
Generics give you an 8% bonus. Duals a 16 and Singles a 30% some, a 20% others. Always choose a Double over a Generic and a Single over a double.
