Looks good. I've got some options for you to think about though:
-Instead of Acrobatics, grab a Patron sheild, and slot it with 5 Aegis( all but Status/Psi resist IO) and the last slot with Steadfast Proctection Knockback IO. Gives you some damage resistances, good set bonuses, and some -KB( with no end cost).
OR
-Three slot SuperJump and slot Blessing of Zephyr; Good set bonuses and Knockback protection with no end cost( and cannot be detoggled either).
-Why not put all four of the Pet aura IOs on Gang War, with one extra slot for recharge. I personally find that Gang War is great for holding the attention of an EB/AV, but the damage potential is quite low.
Just some suggestions,

Archvillains (not elite boss downgraded AV's) have 75% resistance to to-hit debuffs.
[/ QUOTE ]
The AV resistance to debuffs scales by level. It's 75% when the AV is level 30-31. By level 50 it's 85%.
So at level 50( using the numbers you provided):
Max debuff on AV: 9.075
Sustainable debuff on AV: 6.2625
That's pretty bleak, especially when you consider what /Dark can do( -ToHit wise ) to any other non-AV/GM critter.

If you combine the taunt with Body Guard mode, then ( with some practice) you can out tank a Tank.

How about each HO/SHO slotted gives you a 1% resistance to Hamidon's Electrolytic attacks?

Stories like this make me wonder if people even read the power descriptions. *sigh*

I guess you have a point here somewhere, but darned if I know what it is.
[/ QUOTE ]
The basic point is that the OP is making a statement that follows the following pattern:
"I feel that X should be better/equal/worse than Y"
The key word is "feel". It is impossible to put a number to a feeling. It's a subjective experience. It is possible to compare our experiences into what might be a better powerset, but what you might consider a metric is debatable too. We could compare the number of enemies that I could defeat per minute with powerset X. That might be an important metric to a farmer, but is it important to someone who is only playing the game to relax?
So, the "Apples to Oranges" argument comes up again. Sure, you can compare any metric you want between them, but those metrics are based on subjective opinions on what people feel are important. Which makes the OPs opinion important( which is that /TA feels like it underperforms), but comparing /TA to another powerset realy does not make for an compeling argument.
[/ QUOTE ]
Comparing TA to another powerset can make for a very compelling arguement.
[/ QUOTE ]
Interesting maybe, compelling, no.
[ QUOTE ]
The element of subjectivity can be allowed for; the notion the indistillable element of subjectivity completely short-circuits debate and discussion is bogus, or else there'd be very few topics to debate or discuss. Goodbye internet forums. Goodbye 60 Minutes. Goodbye newspaper editorials.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hyperbole.
[ QUOTE ]
The OP did not simply state what he "feels" without any attempt to support his position through an analytical process. He suggested that TA's role is to debuff, so it should be as good at it as any other debuffing powerset. He provided a valid basis for a comparative argument. Others can and have attempted to counter it, which is the rational thing to do. Suggesting that you can't debate things that are different and so the whole discussion ought to be dismissed is not.
[/ QUOTE ]
I never dismissed the argument or the need to argue. I merely pointed out that OPs statement was not very compelling because of his use of an ineffectual comparison. The fact that other people countered the OPs arguement only means that those people have a different expectations for how a powerset should perform.
And then there is the irony about the two of us having an argument over the what constitutes a valid form of comparison for an argument. "Apples and Oranges" indeed!

And for the record, I like travelling on trains as to planes. Why? The metric I use is that I feel safer on trains. So, I've just made a comparision based on an irrational fear( of flying actually). Try to factor that into an analysis as to whether planes or trains are "better" forms of tranport.

Anyway, I'll bring PD online with another build and make my own quantitative analysis.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well.....you can play both sets all you want, but in the end you'll be comparing subjective experiences. Which simply can't be quantified( not unless you're running a survey of people who prefer one over the other). I think you're actually wanting to know which powerset is "best." Good luck with that, since the only answer I can give you is "that which you think has quality." Which is a terrible answer, I know, but Zen like questions usually garner Zen like answers.
I suspect that you have already made up your mind as to what you think is "best", and any arguing with you on that is mostly moot. So, good luck and have fun with PD. If you come up with any interesting observations about the playstyle, do share.
Oh, and the guides section is lacking on guides on PD. Especially slotting and tactics. Just saying,.

I think Bookkeeper_Jay's point was that comparing different functionalities generally don't get you very far, thus he compare's the only aspects that can be; general playstyle roles. What Bookkeeper_Jay provided was a qualitative comparison, when you seemed to be asking for a quantitative analysis. And his point stands, certain aspects of Poison are difficult to compare. How does -Special, -Heal, or Paralytic Poison compare when Pain Domination has no equivalency? From the 'other side of the coin', how do you compare the +regen in Pain Domination when Poison has none?
And I would agree with Bookkeeper_Jay's comments on the playstyle differences. I'd also add that Pain Domination is the team oriented set of the two.

Stalemate,
There a number of people who troll these forums with the only intent of causing problems. They might search for "hot button" topics( 'healer' comes to mind anyone? ), or they might check every forum on these boards every day. They really don't care what the topic is, or who you are, the're only goal is to make you mad. They want to see you have a melt down. The'll claim that your level of language is lacking( I've had that one once), that you're IQ is too low to fully comprehend game mechanics, or that way of thinking is partially flawed. It's a game to them, and a sick one at that.
For the most part, they are very good at what they do; which is piss people off. The best defense against them is simply to ignore them. Never argue with them( I've made that mistake too many times), and always use the ignore poster button.
As for your Arc Stalemate, I loved it.

Don't forget about the confusion protection from Tactics. It can come in handy with certain enemy groups and in PvP.

Petless Masterminds are kinda like playing a Tank without any defense powers. It's doable, but in the end, why gimp yourself that much?
As a /Poison without pets you'll also be giving up one very good debuff power; Noxious Gas. It's a debuff that is applied to your highest tier melee pet( as the level of debuff power varies by pet tier).
If you want a support chracter for Villains, go with a Corrupter. Your buffs/debuffs will be stronger, and you'll have more oportunities to support you're team.

There was a global increase because... well... there was a global increase. This doesn't change the overall philosophy of punishing the community if the community gets better at doing certain things.

They increased merits on way more things than they decreased, but at the same time they're still punishing the community? I'd like to see what kind of dictionary you're using. Your definition of "punishing" seems to be off.

I hope and pray they don't allow side flipping. Let hero-side be hero-side and villains be villains.
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree, although I understand how badgers would like to see side-switching happen.
What I could see as a compromise is a new AT that can 'jump the fence' so to speak. Something morally ambiguous to begin with, say working for Crey Industries? Paragon Protector perhaps? Science based anyways. Maybe make the new AT a badgers dream( whatever that might be), and tie unlocking it to having 200 badges on any one AT. It might be an interesting experience to be a 'moral chameleon', and being able to move anywhere in the game. A Crey based character would have the right background to fit into either Hero or Villain sides.
Just an idea,

One idea that is both decorative and functional:
An SG bulletin board. You could have it look like a real life bulletin board( complete with fliers ), a high tech holographic display, or an arcane obelisk. Whatever the object looks like, it is clickable, and functions as an interface for a small BB, or a mail system that only works within the SG.

Where did Founder's Falls get its name? Who were/are the founders? And why is there no waterfall in the zone?
[/ QUOTE ]
o.O
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry, but I was hoping to see a waterfall in Founder's Falls not a couple of springs.
[/ QUOTE ]
So, we need to rename it Angel Springs?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry Ms_Mesmer, but I'm working on the technical definition here. A waterfall is a river that meets a cliff, not a spring, which I do understand can look like a smaller waterfall. I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but it is an interesting point that Founder's Falls does not have a waterfall, at least not by any geological definition. The springs you pointed out *could* be the falls, but for me that's like calling a patch of dandelions a forest. Considering that we're talking about Paragon City, there's nothing in Founder's Falls that is grand enough to be considered a waterfall. At least to me, anyways.
However, the lack of a waterfall could be made into an interesting story. Maybe it got dammed up and diverted by the War walls? Destroyed by a villain and all that's left is a few springs? Or was it the construction of the Faultline dam than did it?
