Sounds like a mess over there.
As for us, we will have to manage but I am sure we will find a worthy starable person. Better make a list for Halloween themed arcs I guess. -

Here my votes for serious arcs, shame I cannot choose 3 winners here. I really liked Sabrina's arc as well.

MrCaptainman, your observations are duly noted and I am sure that the next time people organize a thing like this the rules will be improved upon. Now get back to playing those arcs and vote!

For the record, I think that Bubba made some good rulings here and that the event is going well. I suggest we leave the discussions about some minor flaws out of this thread and do not attempt to force anyone to change their votes. I am shocked that Dalghryn found it necessary to change his vote because of peer pressure. -

Nice idea, exactly one of those things the AE is meant for. I will certainly poke around in these arcs of yours.
And worst case is that GR will make the arc obsolete. But as GR is half a year away I don't see much of a problem there. -

The purpose blue side is NOT to get new contacts. Red side it is true, but not blue side.
I like to make normal contacts a bit more convenient. -

Veats don't have a tank form, a blaster form and a mixed mode either. The best part of the HEAT and the most difficult to get it right is the option to change roles from hardy tank to squishy blaster.

When doing a paper/scanner, all 3 shouldn't be the same (i.e. all 3 are defeats, or all 3 are kidnaps, etc). Now you might be saying "but nobody will ever do a kidnap anymore!" So? Kidnaps are annoying and I mainly do papers/scanners to try to get a bank mission. It's bad enough that I have to do 5 missions to unlock a bank mission to unlock a contact.

One change I'm considering making is the minimum level for the arc. Currently, I have it set to 22, as a way of saying "Probably shouldn't try this arc until you have SOs". Might change it to level 32, to say "Probably shouldn't try this arc until you have the Tier 9 in your primary".

My theory? Tyrant had enough.
Praetoria decides that the heroes invading their dimension with Portal Corps is a declaration of War.
To avoid an all out war Tyrant sends down ambassadors to open diplomatic channels. Statesman and co are whistled back by the government when they plead to open hostilities to Praetoria.
During these meetings, Statesman will visit Praetoria (see the video trailer). At the moment GR goers live, the papers are signed and a tension filled peace is there. Spies cross the dimensional borders to ply their trade and both sides watch each other with argus eyes. -
Taskforces have the irritating ability to send the hero all over the map. A special happy zone day would not be of any use for this feature. All it would do is concentrate the population to do Radio missions in the hotzone.
And I fear that would not be a good idea having experienced a zone meltdown in Croatoa when the first banner raid was going on at Union Server. -
Not sure if this is a good idea.
The MM got the same type of attacks as his pets. Thugs got pistols. Droids got pulse rifle, Mercs got an AR, Ninja got a bow and zombie got dark blast. Besides thematically correct, this is also a limiting factor for the MM. Inherently, the damage type he does is the same as his pets. Giving a thug MM dark blast for example would upset that balance. -

That is correct. I have just nbow completed a second test on the live arc with a different character at a different Difficulty setting and everything appears to be "working as intended."

Btw, I had the pleasure of judging the nominees for the short list of the Best Serious Arc 2009 and this arc was one of those I had to play. And yes, I liked it.

Sprinting is a travel power. Travel powers can be used if you got the stamina for it but it is not a necessary part of your AT performing in a battle. The Shield power is a necessary part of the whole defending thing. Sprint is a luxury in combat.
