  2. There's a new IO set accessible with the Summer Event (check the Dev digest) called Overwhelming Force where the 6th IO is a chance to KB / convert KB to KD. Yes, if you slot it into a power that *already* does KB, it converts the KB to KD.

Frag Grenade fans everywhere (and Hand Clap, and most Nova blasts) rejoiced.

Trouble is, it's not global - have to slot it into each power you want to the KB -> KD.

And there will be a limited availability due to only avail in summer event.

So, assumption is high price on market.

  4. Data chunk? Mids (1.95) can't interpret your post.

What's special here? I see a lot of purples and PVP IOs but to what end? Hard to tell without viewing the build in MIDS.

This. The best chain is going to be something like Seismic - Gloom - Heavy Mallet - Stone Fists, at very high levels of recharge. And that chain isn't going to significantly better at dps than what other sets can put out (SS/FA/Soul I'm looking at you), while bringing substantially less AOE to the table. Tremor is just terrible.

Here it is. Key is just spamming ring of fire and char, fade is perma so defense more than enough to tank a pylon where i rarely get hit, or my pets for that matter with the -tohit. Endurance is slightly an issue with the build so I needed the t2 ageless, but again, this build is meant to do some serious aoe carnage as well as solo AVs, by getting scorpion patron you can get poison ray and solo pylons even faster.

Edit: Also, of course, spam howling twilight whenever it's up for the -regen and set tar patch and such. Ideally you want to attack as much as possible, but also keep the -regen from twilight grasp stacked at least twice for -100% regen on the pylon, but you certainly shouldn't need a taunter.
Welp, color me impressed. I wonder how much dmg is coming form fire cages as well and/or from pets? This is making my dark/dark/leviathan feel gimp with his 5min+ times ....
  7. One of the best, if not the best, attack chain for StJ is:

Shin Breaker - AS - CU - Shin Breaker - AS - Sweeping Cross

where you have purple set in SC and the pvp -RES proc (super cheap on market now due to converters)

Any other top single target attack chain probably incorporates SC for the same reasons.

Ony my 50 StJ/Ice, I have minimal slotting in Heavy Blow and never use it -- I didn't even keep initial strike. My chain for ST is above and for groups I work in Spinning Strike and try to line up 2-3 mobs in the cone of SC.

I'm sorry, can you give more info here? Or post a build? Or describe if you had a taunt bot taunting the pylon off you? I couldn't get <5min times on my Dark/Dark troller with multiple pets (including APP) and I know others in the same boat.

If you can describe more how you managed this, it would be helpful.

I haven't seen anyone post incarnated DM/SD scrapper times since the Reactive fix ... curious what a DM/SD similarly kitted out (T4 Musc, T4 Reactive or Degen) would be doing. The issue is DM due to Soul Drain tends to have to pull fodder mobs that can stand up to a few soul drains (like Rikti Soldiers) where as WM can get away with a ton of monkeys.

    Thinking Staff/Ice

I have more than 2000hp with perma Hoarfrost. This, coupled with the pbaoe slow and -dmg aura (chilling embrace), really helps IA's survivability. The endo management from Energy Absorption really helps too, pre Incarnate.

I have Icy Bastion up every 66 seconds with Agless and perma-hasten (and it has 30 sec duration). I don't often find I need it all the time. Same with Shadow meld. Icy Bastion is just delicious icing on the cake.

Having said all that ELA with capped S/L is pretty dandy too.

MIDS says my build has 41.5% def debuff resistance, so it's in IA ... just not at major levels.

No. Shatter is the slow attack and I think is about the same as Headsplitter (but it is oh so worth it, especially when you nail 3+ mobs).

Clobber animates so fast it is the crazy highest DPA attack among most Scrapper sets.

    Jawbreaker is pretty fast.

Crowd Control is crazy good fast. Whirling Mace is the same as the other pbaoes from the sword/axe sets.

Pick a secondary without much redraw and you're golden.

I switched to a build chaining Clobber-Jawbreak-Shatter for ST and it is fantastic.

Caltrops and hibernate aren't in the build

Retsu solves the debuff issue but not the 5%+ chance of being hit, which I find really hurts in big groups like herding the Romans on maps or n the Crystal cave with the Kheld bosses. Maybe I need to chug oranges like Auro says.
  14. Degen is the shizzle against hard targets which is really where you need Interface the most.

Reactive is probably better for 4/8 farming etc.
  15. The problem I'm finding with NIN (using Auroxis' build) is that the lack of scaling resists (vs. SR) and the lack of meaningful other resists outside of meagre Tough means that if something hits you, it really hurts.

And with that pesky 5% chance, it means that a lot of Romans (esp. on +1 or +2 or higher) pounding on you can drop you pretty fast -- between the -DEF and the crazy damage of their attacks. I've seen it on a bunch of ITFs. Same for the Boss Khelds (the dwarfs) in the Crystal mish, who seem to have a higher to-hit chance ... a couple of them tag you, and you're done. The heal only gets you so far. Even standing in a group of Vikkies (WW) can be a challenge given they still have a chance to tag you. Maybe it's because the Romans and the Bosses resist the Confuse, which is about the only NIN tool in the basket worth using (though I admit the Mez protect in NIN is superior, vs. fear/confuse).

I'm really a bit surprised b/c the build looks awesome on paper, but I definitely feel the lack of resist. Especially relative to a /Shield or SR. This may be compounded by the fact that a Stalker has meaningfully lower HP than my SR or Shield toons (Scrappers, Brutes).

My StJ/Ice, with Hoarfrost and Shadow Meld, feels a lot sturdier. But obviously can't compete on AOE. My Staff/ELA feels sturdier too (soft-capped to SL). On paper, EA looks like it could be as good/better than NIN given you can still i-cap yourself (esp to S/L/E) and also you get better resists when stacked with Tough. And some passive regen through the heal. *shrug*.

    Good.

Then let's talk about the pro's/con's of Archery/Mental vs. Fire/Mental. Because if you want to perfect the art of high-end, be all, end all Blapping, those are essentially your options. If you don't want to do that, you should start a "how to be mediocre and not top tier" thread. If your questions are related to the topic of, "BUT CONCEPT IS >MIN/MAX LUL I HAZ CONCEPT," The 'For Fun' section of the board is there for a reason. I make the assumption whenever replying in an AT thread that the conversation is geared towards maximum numerical performance rather than anything else.

Sorry, that was mean. But THB is drunk and it made him lol on the inside so he's going to keep it in the post anyways.
Why not replace the Recharge IO in Drain Psyche with a +5'd Rech/End IO? Better for less than 3 mobs, no? Hardly sacrifices anything on recharge time.

I guess what still keeps me off playing my Fire/MM blaster much is the lack of Mez prot. Before incarnated Clarion. So ridiculous that blasters don't get mez prot.
  17. Pretty sure it's Smite-MG-Smite-SL .... sometimes you can work Gloom in if you can get the recharge up ... maybe it is Smite-MG-Gloom-SL which would require less recharge (maybe).

On a scrapper it's definitely Smite-MG-Smite-SL but they don't get gloom.

  20. I thought Drones do really significant -Regen as well?
  21. Healing ... yeah, my SR builds have aid self though (brutes/scraps).

Your updated build: looks like you ditched superior conditioning for Super Speed? I assume you consider Ageless sufficient for end-game endo and your not worried about exemping at a level where you would otherwise have Superior Conditioning? I'd assume that's more of a utility choice for some stealth and slotting a 2nd -KB?

Is Chain Induction the best attack to put after AS?
  22. The best chain to date for StJ (single target) was: AS-CU .... SB-AS-SC-SB-AS-CU ... requires a ton of recharge, like 200% global and 100% in AS. You can get by with some small pauses before the the 2nd AS. If you want to go that route. It is based on Ageless (for +recharge and recovery) and having the Glad -RES proc in SC and the Achilles -RES in SB. And a bunch of damage procs where possible.
  23. wow slap in the face.

is their an emote for being slapped by the Devs that the 2-3 remaining trick arrow players can get?

    /sad
  24. I built this. (Thanks Auroxis).

    My observations playing it:

    1) Nin still gets whomped good if/when things hit you. Even at icap, that 5% means that in a horde of Romans or other mobs, a couple hits can drop you .. the lack of RES really hurts (EA may be slightly better in this regard, or the scaling RES of SR).

    2) Heal looks like its up often in mids but it's not often enough haha Some passive regen boost (even Panacea +HP/regen IO) would be good.

    3) The damage on Jacob's Ladder feels low relative to chain induction. Maybe its the cast time. I also am not finding it easy to hit more than one mob in the cone but maybe that comes from practice.
