Data chunk? Mids (1.95) can't interpret your post.

What's special here? I see a lot of purples and PVP IOs but to what end? Hard to tell without viewing the build in MIDS.

I started to skim through the build and than saw blazing bolt and melt armor. I than preceded to laugh and stop reading. Ultimate...Hardly. Good job on your purples tho. Sadly just cause you have the "Ultimate" enhancements doesnt mean you have the ultimate build.

Edit: Decided to open in MIDS and your trying way too hard for those 5% recharge bonuses. Are you seriously not softcapped to anything? I must have missed a toggle or something.

Best is to test, I mean ultimate as it can solo group of mobs very fast with high dps no limit of stamina with the fast coming back of domination. Best is to test it to find out what I mean. Why would I softcap any def of resist as far as mezzed mobs and killing fast enough that they completely not able to hit you if you manage your powers well. Like I said it has high DPS and can without problem zone mez and zone attack without problem of stamina. I am on Freedom if you want me to show you how it can cave farm 54 pst me @Titan destroyer and I ll show ya.
BTW the build works fine in pvp and you have perma dom in pvp zone too, but after testing plenty dom types and builds I can tell ya that the DPS is maxed out with this build and controls are ubber zone with a backcoming between each groups of mobs in a trial like UG or in cave 54 (+4X8).
I worked on that build coming back from 2 and half years break. One of first perma-doms in CoX. I know enough dominators and mechanisms to say that it s very efficient. The fact is that plenty VR enhancement but all are for getting zone control back as soon as possible and a stamina full bar to keep the attacks cycles without running out of stamina (+mezz protection from domination that you can stack up to 3times no need acrobaty then): based on +++ global recharge time reduction (self reach with hasten and bonuses 211.25% and you can get yet some 50% from phantom lore and 21.25% from ageless destiny if you want to, for me the heal+regen destiny complete better the build).
My best advice is test it by yourself and you'll love it !

before yuo proceed with your interpretation of ultimate, heres a breakdown of the mistakes you made as constructive criticism,


no.1: you took vengeance, well thats all good and useful but how does this work when "soloing" as yuo say it can, not a useful "soloing" tool for a domi if playing solo since it has no use.

no2: you did not go into detail no how "ultimate" this build really is, i.e say what its strengths and weaknesses are, remember not 1 build out there is perfect.

no3: you use alot of purple enhancements but can actually get a much better domi with normal io's.

no4: you didnt take mass hypnosis, one of the most useful powers in the set, if you want mitigation then thats one of the tools for the job.

no5: its only when an incarnate you are able to benefit endurance at a better rate, since you left the toggles on incarnate powers i seen why the end was so low.

again not picking on this build but it does need alot of work to be "ultimate" which in my experiance is no such thing.

Why did you 3 slot SS for +5 cold resist and a movement bonus?

heres my build, better defenses, still good dps, one luck away from softcap , low end aswell, pretty well slotted, fortunata enhancers are pretty cheap these days, coercive persuasion is not too bad in ww, and the only really expensive enhancement is gladiators armour, which can easily be saved up and bought if you farm,overall this is what im achieving to.

Thats a good question and you noticed the only part of build that is not a "Must have" i choosed the winter's gift because i like the 20% resist slow debuff. But you can slot 1 endu red and use these 2 free slot for whatever you want.

About vengeance it has its use in team incarnates trials and allow to equip without no more slots a Gambler 7.5%.

Zone mezz and zone confusions both has a reload time of about 45sec with all time reduction bonuses like the zone debuff. No need of zone sleeps that works fine if you dont use any zone damages powers and in my build there is the fire zone attack epik and the fire judgement attack.

Cycle on mobs: Zone Immo(or zone confusion that last longer)+debuff zone+fire attack zone (fast recharge time so can be repeatedly done) and some single target fire attacks + judgement then left alive targets can be single target mezz or confuse and killed also. Then next group=> same work. Domination back each 45sec also so full stamina always !

the build im working too at the moment, im level 50, and my build is half done getting those enhancements is not easy, but he is quickly becoming a monster, foes drop when i rush in with total confusion, fire ball, rain of fire, and pick off the rest, next mob, total domination, fire ball, rain of fire, rinse and repeat, because i have constant mitigation and a nice defense its a no brainer, i like how you've thought of the build and kudos to you for coming up with it, but in all honesty, its not how much you spend on enhancement, but how much time you spend on the build and work out how you are going to play, ive played him 1 to 50, mapping out his build and learning his playstyle, i assure you, my build is definitly not the best, but it is optimal to a performance standard and is very fun to play, and i fight +3 mobs btw.

My first piece of advice is this: be wary of diminishing returns on recharge. Once you've hit certain break points of recharge (perma-dom or perma-hasten) more recharge does little but act as a buffer against debuffs. The difference between 180% global recharge and 210% is maybe 5-8 seconds on your longest recharging controls.

Second, where are your controls? You've skipped both Mass Hypnosis and Terrify. For AoE control you have two long recharging controls. Terrify may not be the hard control of Stalagmites or Seeds of Confusion, but it provides a great deal of mitigation in Mind's absence of other options. Unless your leagues are spending 30+ seconds per spawn, there's no way to alternate Total Domination and Mass Confusion for every spawn control. As for Mass Hypnosis, it's quite useful for delaying pursuers in Lambda or softening the alpha if used before Total Domination.

Third, consider what set bonuses you're chasing. It looks like you've gravitated toward the rarest sets with the misconception that they offer the best slotting options. Five-slotted Gladiator's net in Total Dom? You could get the same recharge bonus with four slots of Basilisk's Gaze. (Bear in mind that this 7.5% recharge bonus is separate from the LotG: +7.5%; you could have 5 of each while still obeying the rule of 5.) Six-slotted Stealth to chase a 5% recharge bonus? Why not take Mass Hypnosis and go for the 10% bonus? You could easily drop Super Jump or Phase Shift for it. Likewise with six slots in Stamina. Consider utility of slotting along side the bonuses.

A final note, the proc from the Ascendency of the Dominator really should go into a fast recharging power. Considering that you only have moderate range defense you may even want to split the set (losing the 5% ranged defense) so that the proc could go into something like Dominate. I often have the bonus damage from it triple stacked during AV fights whereas slotting it in Mass Confusion means you will only ever have a single stack.

I would do some things differently. That's fine I think. I don't think there is a real "ultimate" build.

I use Enhancement Boosters personally (might as well, I have like 150 of them in my mailbox for various reasons). They let me cut a few corners. I don't have a Mind/Fire Dom, but I do have a Mind/Ice. The build below is based fairly closely on that build. I use Alpha: Cardiac for the extra range and to tame endurance costs.

0.3% from Ranged cap in normal content, 46% S/L resist (with Cardiac), Aid Self, self rezz, perma-Hasten (but use EBs on Hasten itself to bring it closer to perma).

I'm late to the party, but here's a build I like a lot. I took the Ice epic primarily for the Sleet/Ice Storm combo. I hate the look of Frozen Armor but such is life.

I used Enhancement Boosters liberally. The difference between two +5 enhancements vs. 3 regular enhancements is only 3%! I also used them in purple sets to bump up the Endurance reduction.

This is a very high recharge build. I'm JUST shy of perma-Dom without Hasten, like literally a second or two. If you're thinking of a build like this, a protip: put Domination on auto and leave Hasten as something you hit manually.

This build has a kind of odd mix of Smashing/Lethal Defense and Ranged Defense. It's nowhere near softcapped on either but still extremely helpful, and Hibernate is a fantastic "oh crap!" button.

Overall I'm extremely pleased with this build. I prefer to play at range, so no melee or PBAoE attack powers for me.

Has anyone have any suggestions ... please?

Gamestyle is solo purposes and Trial Leagues!!!!

I've chosen Fly for this AT to get a better view of my surroundings and too, to keep out of melee range. Also, Fly seems to sync with my playstyle for this particular AT.

There are some powers I'd skip like melee attacks simply because it is a ranged play toon so if you believe otherwise to replace a few powers, please comment.

Here is the build I am rocking on my mind/fire, which sounds a lot like what you're looking for (flying, ranged focus, permadom, etc.). I don't claim to be a master, but the character is just silly powerful and I enjoy the heck out of it. Haven't found anything so far that I can't solo without really trying. I generally play on +0/8, could probably go higher, but I am not that patient. I would of course welcome any criticism, should somebody feel the need to give it. I'm currently considering slotting Terrorize as an attack, but haven't bothered to change anything yet.

@The_Cheeseman, you have a veryt decent build here. Nice defenses on Range and energy/negative damage as well. The build isn't that expensive and too, you have it perma-hasten. It looks like a solid build.

I didnt take any sleeper powers cause simply they are interupterable altho, I know they may provide a nice soft-control at those OH CRAP!!! moments.

My build I may have to redo all over again but I am not sure on what woill satisfy my needs to a complete build yet.

I mostly took Mass Hypnosis for the aforementioned, "Oh crap!" moments, and it can also be very helpful in the warehouse in Lambda to halt pursuit without drawing fire. Plus, at the time the Fortunata Hypnosis set was dirt cheap, so I snagged it for the recharge bonus. Not as cheap post-converters, but still affordable. Hypnotize I really never use, I just chose it over Levitate, which I would also never use.

Discovering your own play preferences is definitely the biggest part of finishing a build. I am happy to share, and I wish you luck in finding what satisfies you!
