If you NEED a rare or very rare component, run Underground -- you're guaranteed to get one or the other if you complete it.

Quote:Villain bases are affected as well. Upon walking into my base last night, every item that could be destroyed in a raid conned hostile to me: teleporters, teleport beacons, mediports, certain control and energy items, etc. I then added some defensive items because I knew about the bug, and they were also hostile as expected.
I believe Hero bases are affected.
At least, from what I've heard (I don't have defensive items in any of my own bases).
And yes, I'd also like a "Danger Room" feature to be added to bases at some point. -
Quote:*shrug*As much as I'd like to take credit for what you are talking about...I don't remember teaming with TW toons and noticing the Carnie EB bug.
Only time I saw it was when I was on my Mind/Emp. Controller and was solo'ing....
Maybe I was playing CoH in my sleep though?
I'm probably mistaken. This particular beta - such as it was - was a bit of a blur to me. -
Quote:This was something that was happening on the beta server, and that I *believe* was reported. I was part of a foursome of Titan Weapon characters of various levels that were running radio missions in Peregrine Island. On two separate Carnie radio missions, Vanessa appeared multiple times as an Elite Boss spawn. I'm not sure WHY a EB would be spawning on a radio mission, but she was, and often. No EBs spawned during radio missions with other enemy factions.Which Mission was this on?
Is it one you acquired before the patch or after? If before, could you try dropping it and then retaking it and seeing if that's still the case?
Thanks!
EDIT: See Energizing Ion's post above. He was the leader of my team. -

What's the point in posting these threads?
All they do is bring out the trolls, doomsayers, and sadomasochists who pay to play the game, yet take delight in extolling whenever possible that "ZOMG IT'S DYING I TOLD YOU SO!!!!", and armchair economists who usually don't work in the MMO industry and thus can only speculate.
Know when I care about the money CoH makes? When we get the announcement that operations will be ceasing. Everything ends, and MMOs all have an expiration date. Just play the damn game until they kick you off for the last time. -
Quote:Two words: PLAYER SUMMIT.Thanks for the info Zwill, but if it was already addressed in an upcoming build, why push this build live? This bug effects a majority of players (F2P, Premium, & VIP), if not all of them (AFIAK). Seems like a bad decision to push this patch out, even with the new Incarnate abilities (that only VIP players can access).
It's obvious that they wanted Media Blitz out the door before the summit so the table could be cleared, so to speak. Also, my personal belief is that not enough actual testing got done during this particular beta, which is why the update is missing one of its key components and so many other bugs are now popping up. -

They're only broken if you're using the Hero style. Switch to Villain, re-subscribe, and they'll be just fine. That's what I had to do.
Also, with the logout bug, I need to log back into the forums and refresh my live bookmarks (I'm on firefox) every time I open up my browser. -

Just popping in to post two little factoids I haven't yet seen anyone mention in this thread.
To-Hit: While the baseline to-hit value versus an even-conning enemy is 75%, level 1 characters are affected by what's known as Beginner's Luck. This manifests as a 15% bonus to to-hit, thereby giving a level 1 character a 90% chance to hit an even-con enemy. This bonus gradually decreases as a character levels, ending at level 20 with the character having the aforementioned 75% baseline to-hit.
XP debt: XP debt does not begin to accrue until a character is level 10. Also, the amount of XP debt you earn while on an instanced mission is half that of XP debt earned while street-sweeping. -

My main is tech-themed as well, and I got around the Lore pets being "Essences" by saying that he built a miniature hard-light holographic projector that enables him to create extra allies into battle should he need it.

Quote:I gotta say, that's a very interesting idea. It's too late for it to happen, but I think stalkers should have originally been Melee/Support.
With the stalker's Original values, give it Mastermind Buff/Debuff mods. Then, while hidden, give it the ability to:
1. Not notify mobs with Their support abilities
2. Do "Critical Support" while hidden
3. Not lose hidden status while using support abilities
This way, the stalker would have been the Premier Support character while hidden, with the potential for Burst damage while coming out of hide.
Sadly it's too late for that, but that's how I would have done it. -
Quote:That'd be "Captain Sweatpants". The character ALWAYS wears the Statesman star/Hero t-shirt.One of the characters in the comic shop has worn a City of Heroes teeshirt at some point as well.
Funny story: Someone on the web once set up a "Captain Sweatpants" online store, with stuff that had the logo from the shirt on it, not knowing it was an already-trademarked image. As you can imagine, it didn't last long. -
The sword is just one of the weapons. And really, once you get to a certain size, ANY melee weapon is going to smash and crush more than it cuts.

Not a bug I've personally experienced since the Going Rogue beta, but someone made a thread about it today in the Player Questions section. I cannot speak to its current veracity, but I figure it needs to be added to the bug forum:
Quote:Link to the original postOriginally Posted by Hy-BeamsI logged into one of my Vigilantes for the first time in a long time and saw she had a finished Mayhem mission to turn in, so I went to St. Martial and turned it in and got to pick a contact. I picked Hard Luck and since he showed up on my map I figured what the heck and went to talk to him. And surprisingly, he offered me a mission.
I didn't think that was possible. I thought the only missions a solo Vigilante could get in the Isles were Newspaper and Tip Missions. Did that change or is this a bug? -
Yeah, this is definitely a bug. Happened briefly during the Going Rogue beta testing.
Seriously, if such a major change was intentionally made, don't you think it would be announced? -
The Paragon Market tied to the Training Room is currently down (actually, the whole account server is down for the Training Room); I expect an announcement when we're actually able to go test Titan Weapons.
-
Just so everyone knows: Per an announcement during today's Facebook Friday, Titan Weapons will be available for testing on the Training Room as soon as that version of the Paragon Market is brought back online.
