Maybe they could be marked in some way in the search window?

I don't think we should expect a huge range of stuff from the editor right away - it's easier for them to tweak it if it's basic at first.

1) You read novels as a form of entertainment, you play games as a form of entertainment.
2) You pay money for novels, you pay money for games.
If "story" is sufficient motive to read a book, or watch a movie, why should it be insuffient motive to play a game?
You can also buy books of puzzles. You do them for the challenge, there is no loot. If challenge is motive enough to buy a puzzle book, why should it be insuffient motive to play a game?
[/ QUOTE ]
Puzzle books and novels don't let you level up

Some people might play them just for the story, but most won't.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because no one ever read a novel just for the story...
[/ QUOTE ]
Novels aren't quite the same as games though

[ QUOTE ]
for GG, maybe we could make mishes where on completion we get animated hair
[/ QUOTE ]´
I think it's unlikely they'd make graphical upgrades a reward, but it would be nice
-
[ QUOTE ]
I think the level of customisation will be dependant on the type of players they are aiming this at.
It could be anything from an RPers heaven, to a cheap gimick.
Call me cynical, but I have a feeling it may lean towards the latter.

Well, it's a pretty complex thing to add to the game, so they may start off with a basic system, and add more to it based on playability and feedback once it goes live. -
This sound slike the updater is trying to install the American version of the game - it's a reasonably common bug.
You need to right click on your CoH updater icon, and see what name it displays - it it's showing "updater.exe", change that to "updater.EU.exe" to make it start the correct version of the game. -
Have you changed your firewall settings recently?

I'd like the ability to assign rewards to killing certain bosses/completing certain objectives e.g Kill a boss -> get a purple/unique recipe
, but this is only dreaming, but i'd still like to assign erwards for completing the mission or doing a certain objective
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it's more likely they'll just use the drop tables we currently have, so that you'd have to make a TF before you could use the Tf reward table and so on.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, just shoot down my hopes and dreams of getting a decent IO'd toon why don't you!
[/ QUOTE ]
Hey, I didn't say it was totally certain that's what they'd do - just rather more likely

I'm pretty sure this kind of thing will be the first thing the devs make sure players can't do
-
If the heavy's too far away from the target, it won't respond to an attack order.

mmmmmmm
i would have to say...
to be able to pick what rewards we get at the end of mishes/storylines

would make BM/WW sooo intertesting
[/ QUOTE ]
By interesting, do you mean selling purples to the stores would be more profitable than putting them on WW?
-
Maybe they could make base raids set the numbers to be used, so if you had only 5 who wanted to PvP, then set the number of attackers to 5 as well.
-
Maybe once they've evened out the effectiveness of all the melee sets they'll work on making the ranged sets more even with them as well?
Although, there's still the big problem of real world facts, no matter how much unreality you add - someone with a ranged weapon standing at a distance form someone with a melee weapon has an advantage.
Having the ability to dodge attacks would help even things up a bit, but I don't know if the game engine can be made to work like that. -
[ QUOTE ]
Well i cant wait for this to be implemented,

create missions and story arcs for your characters and others to participate in. Youll be able to pick the map, villain group, and objectives, as well as write the dialogue and any clues needed for the missions. When you are satisfied with it, you can upload it and have other players across all servers play it and rate it. Fame will come to the players whose stories rate the best overall.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wonder if that'll be I13 or I14? If I13 is going to be massive, then that sounds like it could be the central feature of it, but as it sounds quite a complex thing to do, maybe I14 would be a more realistic timeframe? -
They might need to upgrade the engine a bit ot handle all that seaweed waving gently in the current, but I think that'd be good for the overall game
-
Well, if it's being done this late, it's sure to be done even more earlier
-
About 20 minutes ago, someone just did it on Defiant - the invasion spawned on Talos Island
-
You need to change the "updater.exe" to "updater.EU.exe" to get it to get the right version.

all those badges were in excess

Does not compute

A new zone for low lvl characters would be great.
[/ QUOTE ]
We'll get that when Boomtown gets a makeover.
[ QUOTE ]
To have invasion event randomly spawn in the city instead of waiting months to get accolade.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you complete the RWZ Task Force, that will spawn an invasion in a random zone - although that can be in a CoV zone too. -
[ QUOTE ]
I dont think its ever coming back, too many non pvp'ers complaing they are forced into pvp, for doing non pvp content.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, it's not actually non-PvP content - it if triggers PvP, then it's PvP content
-
PvP was planned from the start, because Villains were planned from the start
