Can't connect to DBserver
Yeah it sounds like a firewall block as GG said. Peerguardian 2 (if you use it ) for example blocks all connections to IP addresses assoiated with companies, i.e. NCSoft.
Have you installed any new software since your last successful login?
My firewall is Virgin Media's PC Guard. Turning it off doesn't help. Everything worked fine on Sunday morning then it stopped letting me connect on Sunday afternoon. I didn't download any new software and I don't recall changing anything in between times.
Well the only other thing I can think of is you have been tagged with Virgin's FuP (Fair usage policy)
Im not too familar with Virgin's policy; if they even have one. I was with Tiscali a good few years back now and was affected by theirs; I wasnt allowed to log into to CoX from 6pm to 1am (peak times)
Most companies that have a FuP dont wish to block online games its just that alot of MMOs use the same ports P2P clients etc.
Thats all I can think of really unfortunatly; maybe support can help out.
Turned out all I needed to do was restart the modem and router. Works fine now, well as good as it used to at least given the age of my computer...

City of Heroes comics and artwork
When logging in to City of Heroes and selecting the server I get a 'cannot connect to DBserver' message (I usually log in to Union but I get the problem on the other servers too). I've had this problem since Sunday afternoon. Since I found that I was also unable to access the uk.cityofheroes.com website I assumed that it most be a problem with servers. However, I've just looked at the forums and haven't seen any messages about server problems I'm now wondering if it's just me that's having the problem. I'm also having some trouble with the plaync website. Is anyone else having these problems?
