Well, both sides of the argument really only have interpretation to go on, as it's not something that can be totally proven one way or the other - although I do think my position is the right one
-
I've not seen any evidence - only interpretation.

Quote:And I'm not seeing any proof to support a lack of absolute moralityWhereas others like to pretend it's there but are unable to actually provide proof or supportive argument of their point of view, other than desperately scrambling to try and poke holes in the other side's views. As far as arguing your point goes, this is a loser's gambit because you're not really arguing your point anymore.

I'm never around for the downtime - I play in the evening, so I guess what I do is just normal non-game stuff that I'd be doing anyway .p

Release it with a "music license pending" disclaimer on it then

Mine is what my mom called me when I was little - and still calls me - sometimes

It's also the name I use for my in-game avatar. -
Also, get them to give out their celphone number faster

I'd like to know more about the "evolving beyond the ability to enjoy it" part - is that like inventions? PvP changes? AE farm spam?

Quote:Couldn't they use that ghostly shark attack that Mako has?Up until it was determined that because sharks couldn't leave the water that players would undoubtedly herd them up, lead them back to the beach, and then slaughter them for risk-free XP.
The idea of a ranged attack was kicked around, but after the friggin' lasers was veto'd that whole project lost a lot of steam.

I didn't know The Ocho and Dark Watcher were ill too?

Well, I already have only one avatar, and it's a superhero version of me, so I don't think I'd notice much difference

Sounds like a framework for a happy and peaceful society

Do they even have laws there - apart from the "Recluse is boss" law?

So why do we look after the terminally ill? Logically, it's a waste of resources - but morally, it's the only proper thing to do.

Quote:So why do we bother developing new technology, if it's no better than the old stuff?Lastly, newer does not imply better, regardless of what you might want to believe. Not for information systems (cuniform on clay tablets and stone tablets still exists from thousands of years ago. how long do you think a DVD lasts?), not for anything. Even the oldest things still have value and usefulness, for those who value them and know how to use them. This includes our pensioners.

I have a suspicion that Avatea posts loads of secret info only on the French and German sections

But that about inherited illnesses? There's no "logical" reason to care for people with them who will only pass them on to a new generation - the human "pack" would be stronger without them - but we care for them because we know it's the morally right thing to do.
