Quote:That's what I was thinking tooI like the half article about the meteors to the right, though. We all know what happened the last time meteors crashed on Primal Earth... Coming Storm teaser, perhaps?

I think all of the booster packs are cool - I just don't need to use themQuote:Have You Been A Fan Of Any Of The Booster Packs (Origin, Mutant, Animal)? Also Have Yet To See Golden Girl In Game. Maybe One Day I Will. Even Though I'm A Loyal Praetorian.
You'll probably meet me eventually
Spandex is comfortable - and I do have more than one outfitQuote:GG has one character and a V-neck spandex fetish. I'm not even sure she has more than one cossie.

Quote:When you log on, I'm going to catch you and force you to teamEU_Damz, I am threadjacking a bit to say I love the sunny, happy expression you have in your avatar. I think it is rubbing off on me, because I have a smile on my face now when before it was fixed into a truly horrible scowl....horrible enough to scare cats

No - I think it's an ugly style - the costume parts are cool and well made, but the whole steampunk thing isn't something I'm a fan of

I don't think there's a guide, because bases are mostly about looks rather than function, sobuilding is a matter of personal opinion and taste - a base building guide would be similar to a costume creating guide - there's no "right" or "wrong" way to design the look of your costume/base.Quote:Base building..grumble, grumble. I own at least one on every server, and on some servers I have two..I did not build a single one, and have no idea how to do so.
I went looking for something like a "Base Building For Dummies" guide but found nothing. No guides written for stupid people like me

I'm not really seeing the pony link here - apart fromt he fact that you can make quite a good set of riding clothes in the costume creator, minus the safety helmet
-
I think it's possible they might use some of the revamped content to bring the older stuff into line with the post-GR game world - like adding some Praetorian enemies, and dropping a few hints about the Well and Incarnates, so the meta-story flows more smoothly from 1 through 50.

I can't imagine ever living in a time when that stuff would have been fashionable

I hope there'll be a Q&A session with some more I21 info

Quote:Unless you find the idea of magical mutant furry ninja steampunk scientists disturbing. What we have to look at are the costumes in the Steampunk pack, and the Animal pack before that, and Mutant pack before that, and the Martial Arts pack before that, and the Superscience pack before that, and the Magic pack before that. And when I take them in total, I don't see a trend I find disturbing. Perhaps I'm looking at too many things to see the trend, and I need to focus only on the things that exhibit the trend to see it.

Quote:I'd be ok with just a few more polygons to give us smoother curves, and a revamp of the way the slider calculates expansion - it needs to have way less sideways expansion when the size increases - the majority of the expansion needs to be outwards to simulate the shape made by clothing. To actually do this correctly in the first place would have almost certainly required a much higher polygon count. Breasts only look round because of eye-tricking shading, not because they actually are round. Look at the Witch tops: all that cleavage comes from shading, not from actual geometry. Those tops don't alter the actual shape of the model at all. I think female breasts currently have less polygon count than a twenty-sided die.
But to actually get a top to drape, wrap, or otherwise constrain the body with any sort of accuracy requires a much more sophisticated modeling and rendering engine than I think our client has. -

Quote:We totally need more realistic looking busts - the way the slider calculates expansion is weird and un-natural, and doesn't take into account how clothing affects the shape in real life.
I think making some of the same top options we have now with less plunge to the neckline would address some of the concerns raised. Giving a breast reduction to the female model would help even more.
Personally I would love having the geometry and silhouette of some of our current garments with less assets on display. Currently the composition of a total costume can be exactly what you want but the sexy level can exceed the players comfort level and what they want their character to visually say. Arcanaville's example above is very pretty but the neckline is problematic even though the v-shape itself really works well with the other pieces.

I don't trust him - he's wearing his villain costume, but congratulating heroes on keeping the city safe.

They've already said that the next 2 Trials that they're working on are the Keyes Island one and the Praetorian Hmaidon one - they've even shown part of the map the Hamidon is on, and said it's waking up from hibernation - so it's not really a hint
-
We should be seeing these a bit more up close and personal in an upcoming Trial
