He's always had pretty straight hair - in-game and in the comics.

Quote:Most of the major points of the Praetorian war storyline are in the Trials - the next one, the Underground Trial, has us face the Avatar of the Hamidon, and learn a huge secret about Praetoria that will "shatter it permanently" - so lore wise, that Trial is going to be huge, and impact on everything we know about Praetoria so far - and then we'll be fighting Tyrant in another Trial as the finale of the Praetorian storyline - plus, we still haven't confronted Mother Mayhem yet, although her asylum in First Ward looks like another Trial map waiting to happenI could get into semantics about how her original post said that trials would be one of the main story elements and whether or not I'd consider the trials we have now to be telling much of a story, but I really don't feel like going down that road.

The Trials are the multi-team version of the Maria Jenkins arc - we confront and defeat the Praetors one after another, with a final showdown with Tyrant to finish it off.
The Admiral Sutter TF is the only part of the Praetorian war storyline that's not Incarnate content - everything else is either an Incarnate TF or a Trial.
The Praetorian war is the first cosmic level storyline we've had, and it's been told entirely through team content, with the bulk of it being Trials.
The next cosmic storyline appears to be the Coming Storm - a threat even greater than Tyrant and the loyalists - and if the Praetorian threat was so great that it forced heroes and villains to join together to deal with it in multi-team Trials, then the even more dangerous Coming Storm will do the same. -

If Freedom goes live in time for the Halloween event, I wonder if there'll be some special costume parts in the Market for it?

Quote:Multiple threads by the same people is just an attempt to make their "cause" seem popular and well-supported - these types tried it when the Incarnate system first started, and failed badly. Can AmazingMoo (and others) PLEASE stop making post crying about the i-costumes being linked to the i-trails? I swear ive seen atleast 4 different post about the same things all created by him/her/it. (I'm prolly wrong but really dont care)
The game has been out for 7 years. Alot of ppl like to play lowbies true, but also alot of ppl dont, Hence Powerleveling and and now END GAME content. Sure you have to grind ( and i use the term loosley compared to ALOT of other MMOs this one is a laugh) a bit for the Merits to gain access to the costumes that once unlocked are ACCOUNT WIDE. Do you realize how big that is? Imagine having to unlock the costume parts for each toon, as you would have to do for gear in another game.
The Devs know this is a game of Alts. The Devs know there has been an outcry for more end content in the game for years now. You respond like a 3 year old in a Toys 'r Us screaming that she wants her Barbie NOW.
Earn your reward and be happy. You dont want to earn it and have everything handed to you be it free addition in the costume creator or new Paragon Store? Tough.
Take your tears elsewhere noone really wants to hear it. -
Quote:Technically, with the total graphical revamp of Atlas, the partial graphical revamp of Mercy, and the totally new conent in both of them, I21 is giving us 2.5 new zones - plus the new tutorial and further training missions in the 5-19 rangeI21 is slated to give us:
A new trial.
A new zone.
(and the new low-level sewer trial)

Actually, he's never had dreads, except in the original CoH trailer - he's always been shown in-game and in the comics as having spiked hair, sometimes slicked back a bit - his hair in this latest picture is accurate with how he's been shown for the past 7 years.

Jenni Adair, Dark Watcher's Praetorian arc and Katie Douglas are all pretty intense.
Other smaller thing that are also touching are the dead Longbow and Vanguard in the hallway on the final Lady Gray mission, which has more impact if you've done the zone story arcs too, so you see that they all died fighting side by side, in spite of their conflict earlier on in the arcs.
A similar sad bit are all the dead cops in Kings Row during the Apex TF - just normal officers with side-arms who tried to stop an invading robot army. -
-
The Coming Storm is an even bigger threat than Tyrant and his loyalist henchpeople, who we confront in Trials, because they're such a big threat - so an even bigger threat will ned even more epic Trials to defeat it
-
Quote:And one of those popualtion shifts is underway again - people are quitting over the Trials, while others are coming back to the game because of the Trials - the number of antis shrinks, the number of pros grows - and we'll shortly be getting an influx of new players used to endgame raiding, to help tip the balance even furtherStop being so presumptive! You do not know everything about everyone in the game. . Perhaps, 'these things that always get accepted' seem so because so many people who did not accept them, left the game entirely and all that was left that you knew of were the fanbois and conformists.

Then you're going to miss out on a heck of a lot - the key points and finale of the Praetorian storyline is Trial based, and the Coming Storm will feature Trials tooQuote:However, I, for one who pays my monthly fee, will NEVER, EVER do one of those !@#$#@ trials. I totally, absolutely reject them and totally, absolutely resent that they're being tied to Vouchers, Cetifications, etc

You should also be preapred for the Coming Storm to use Trials as one of the main parts of the story, just like the Praetorian invasion.

Quote:But the problem with that is that BAB doesn't appear to be showing the same reaction - he looks shocked and angry, but still in control - her expression is just pure panic, and her strange stance doesn't help give the impression that she's in control at all - she looks helpless and depowered, whill BAB looks strong and decisive.Sister Psyche's expression is one of both shock and fear, which we consider an appropriate reaction to an apocalyptic storm of death and destruction hurtling at her from above. As a member of the Freedom Phalanx, nothing short of a world threatening event could evoke this kind of reaction from her.
That's good, because the overall picture is exciting and dynamic, it's just the portrayal of Sister Psyche's reaction to a crisis that really let's it down.Quote:The above being said, we have been paying attention to your thoughts. We'll be making some very subtle adjustments to the image which address these concerns while still preserving its artistic integrity. -

Quote:Violent thoughts of hatred towards Galaxy City? This. Just can't get exited about the destruction of one of my favorite zones. What the hell are the devs thinking?

I'd been suggesting a merge of Atlas and Galaxy for quite a while, but it seems like the devs have a more destructive thought process when it comes to solving thing slike that
Yes - all badges and plaques will still be in the "echo" zone. -
They've said the Incarnate system is for VIPs only - so free and premiums would need to have a sub to access it.
-
Welcome home - you'll find the game just keeps getting better and better
-
And the devs will be aware of this kind of MMO player, and how much notice to take of them

Quote:They'll be replaced by new raid-hungry players giving CoH a try for the first timeAre you going to signify your displeasure by unsubscribing? Since the game is going Free to Play soon, the devs would be utter fools to not expect to lose some subscriptions to people wanting to play for free. Your canceled subscription because you didn't get what you wanted will have zero effect on anything, and will probably not even be noticed in the general move to free play status by a decent portion of the population.
