    Justice sucks

Ignicity has returned. Just be patient.
  2. Zamuel:
The "bomb" powers all do some amount of fire damage, so they should be able to light the oil slick, bugs allowing.

    New Dawn:
Let me make sure I understand your points. I agree that TA may take more effort or finesse than some other defender sets, but I wouldn't expect everyone else on a team to have to work around it. Please correct me if I misunderstood.
  3. Sign up Neurodyne (41 mind/electric dominator) for pwnin' some Rwmans
    • If you enter the opposite faction's Vault Reserve in Pocket D, the receptionist won't say anything.
    • There are low-level Freakshow in the north of Faultline for the hero aura mission hunt.
    • Faultline is the only blueside zone with Arachnos street mobs.
    • The Rogue Islands Ferry and the one in Peregrine Island are the same boat.

    Grav/Fire

I'd recommend posting in the PVP Guides forum for the best advice, but here's what I've picked up. Mind/* is the current FOTM for PvP, especially Mind/Fire. However, I think Gravity is one of the few control sets that can effectively stack slows on a target now, so it can be useful.

    Good luck!
  5. Howdy, all.

I was wondering if activating Domination after a crash from another power, Surge of Power for example, would refill your endurance. Would the recovery penalty from the crash prevent the END refill from Domination?

I have evil intentions of turning into an uber-gremlin, going berserk and then coming back as a hopped-up dominator after the transformation wears off

    Thanks for any replies.

Theoretically that means you'll see a slight reduction in your DPS which is usually a bad thing for AV soloers. But the attack does pure Psi damage, a much less resisted type than the Lethal damage from Poison Dart. However, I can't say precisely how the two balance out without running the numbers and it's 3:30AM so that's not happening .

Psychic Scream is generally avoided. It's a nice cone but the animation time is long and it does rather anemic damage when compared to your other cone attack, Eviscerate. I took it on my Night Widow build because I wanted a Psi attack and the animation, while long, is exceedingly cool looking. That said, I also took Eviscerate.
One more bit - both dart attacks debuff regeneration, which can help a great deal when fighting AVs, if that's still one of your goals. Poison Dart may be better suited for that purpose than the AoE Dart Burst.

That, and doms have always done more damage in melee than at range. Most of the melee attacks are single-target, too.

Technically, the LRSF, as well as any other SF or TF, is an optional thing.

However, I sympathize with you, Techbot. I've never been on an LRSF, but I've run into what I would consider plenty of "hax" moments in the game. It sounds as if you simply had rotten luck, but nobody else who has posted here was there to provide evidence. Don't let it frustrate you, and if the game cheats, cheat right back

Well, at least the Halloween salvage can be used at any time, unlike the candy canes.

A 5th Column takeover of Boomtown would be really neat, especially considering who's buried under the old Freedom Phalanx base there.

That, and it would be fun to watch the Mek Men and Clockwork smash each other
  11. Yes, if you're using Arctic Air with some slotting for confuse duration. Enemies will attempt to run out of AA (slowly), and Frostbite can keep them under control for more slowing and confusion. What I have seen happen is that immobilized enemies will turn in place as they either attempt to flee Arctic Air (and fail because of Frostbite) or as they change facing to attempt to attack another nearby baddie because of the confuse effect.

    Hope this helps.

    Sounds like the VEATs, too

I actually meant that every attack of every form, ranged, melee and AoE, will have the -Res component.
I missed the part about all PB attacks having the -res component, but I still think it would be OK to allow it to stack without a hard cap. No debuff lasts forever, and some of them would expire during shapeshifting and other non-attack activities.

That could be a good idea as well I guess, but I feel much better with an AoE buff/heal on a slower recharge than a ST power on faster recharge.
Buffs > heals, in my opinion, and single-target powers tend to be stronger than their AoE counterparts. I believe it would be easier to target and maintain an ST buff as well - no more "Gather for AM," although that's a playstyle issue.
  14. In my experience, Stone Melee has more problems with recharge than endurance. The attacks animate quickly but recharge slowly, but they hit hard as well. So yes, Electric Armor should help with recharging your Stone attacks and keeping your endurance up to use them.

One pointer for Shield Defense ATs is to allow Against All Odds saturate before using Shield Charge. You'll get a much bigger damage boost than if you used SC to ram into a mob from a distance.

    Good luck!

These statements about defenders, controllers and tankers are false. Defenders and controllers make great leaders, even if they can't be damage sponges, and it's a poor tank who feels his job is done by jumping into a mob, hitting Taunt (maybe) and playing meat shield. The roles of Khelds are varied, but "born leader" is not one of them. That depends on the player, and any AT can lead a team.

On topic, I like the suggestion of the PB melee attacks having a stacking -res component. As far as I know, there aren't any other melee attacks that apply -res, and I also think the -res shouldn't have a hard limit. The debuffs from Sonic Attack don't have a hard limit, for example, but they do expire over time.

Also, as far as modifying Glowing Touch, how about turning it into a buff along the lines of Forge, Fortitude or Painbringer? Help a teammate to "bring out the inner power"

I agree, and the damage descriptors are vague as well. For instance, both a blaster's tier 9 attack and a defender's will be listed as "extreme" damage, but there's no question about which is more extreme than the other.

However, it is true that the tier 9 is the most "extreme" attack in the set.

You're too pathetic for Haven House.
  19. Here's a strategy I found effective for my DB stalker, who was /Nin, but it might work for you as well. I usually opened with the Sweep combo to put the baddies on their butts, followed by 1K Cuts, then Attack Vitals on the toughest remaining target and more 1K Cuts if needed. The theory was that downed targets can't attack me, and this could work well for /Regen by giving your huge healing abilities time to patch up any damage. I never bothered with the Weaken combo, but it certainly can't hurt.

    Good luck!

  22. I can bring Neurodyne (30 Mind/Electric dominator) for the redside run and/or Mighty Glacier (28 Shield/Ice tank) for the blue.

Dunno how effective those Ice Melee attacks will be, though
  23. I don't know if there is a chief Arbiter, although Daos is the highest-ranking as far as levels are concerned. Being in charge of the branch of Arachnos charged with keeping the factions in line might not be an enviable position, though.
