  1. Off-topic, but it looks like your rep meter is back in the green now. Viewing rep comments is cumbersome since the mods disabled that feature in the user CP. The only way I know to view rep comments is to attempt to rep yourself. The latest comment will pop up then along with your rep total.
  2. Here's the Wiki article on Endurance.

Pay special attention to the Numbers section. Increasing your total amount of endurance pays off in having more on hand as well as having greater recovery.

    Good luck!
  3. Well, the Quantum Gunners are always part of another faction as well (Quantum Red Ink Man, Quantum Paragon Protector, etc.), and I don't know what it would take to make the game count them twice, if there were already defeat badges associated with their faction. Void Hunters are their own faction, OTOH.
  4. I like this idea as well, and I'm not certain how well the trickle-down effect of unwanted common salvage rolls supplies the markets. Sure, some of it probably gets there, but the rest might get deleted or vendored, just for expedience.

You can get the same effects already from the Eye of the Magus accolade, and medium and large orange inspirations come close. I also don't think it would benefit tanks who were at or near the resistance cap on their own.
  6. I just hope there's a corresponding "yank tail" emote that will allow other characters to give those lag tags a good pull.
  7. True, sleeps don't last for squat on most teams, especially PuGs, but that's why you run ahead to the next mob while everyone else is finishing off the remnants of the last one
  8. Nobody needs the better things in the game. Every single item for sale in Wenworth's or the Black Market that you can't buy outright from another source is a luxury.

It's unfortunate that your cousin can't play as often as he'd like, but come I-17, you can e-mail him a big chunk of INF that will allow him to place bids for goodies that will likely fill during his enforced absences from the game.
  9. 1. Flash Freeze (It has good range)

    2. Run in with Arctic Air or use Shiver (Won't wake the mobs)

    3. Ice Slick

Steps 2 and 3 are interchangeable.
  10. Out of curiosity, what was the time frame for this experiment? How long did it take to bring the AR/Dev to 50 and accumulate the amount of INF you did?
  11. My guess is that any lack of high-level arcane salvage may be because the RWZ is looking to be the new PL zone, at least to me. It's not level-gated anymore; you can get repeatable missions; it's co-op; and Rikti only drop tech salvage.
  12. Fulmens:

Here's a big AMEN from the gallery

And Grouchybeast, the random reward roll slider works the same for AE tickets as reward merits. You get the recipe at your level or the set's maximum level, so no help there.
  13. Gec72:

Holding onto reward merits instead of using them to create items for sale reduces the availability of stuff, recipes especially, on the markets, regardless of reason. It's not necessarily hoarding of any kind. It could be because of lack of knowledge on how the merit reward system works, saving up for the sure-thing purchase or lack of interest, but the end result is the same.

I'm with FourSpeed on at least one point as well: the roll system itself blows. Players can't choose the exact level for their reward rolls via merits or AE tickets - you get recipes at your level or the set's maximum level, whichever is highest. I think that's one of the big reasons behind the lack of mid-level recipes available right now.

    Go to Redside.

Good point, but I think it requires players to exercise a degree of rational behavior infrequent in games and in real life. I also confess to being part of the problem. I look up what salvage I might need ahead of time and hoard the bejeezus out of it. Everyone else can have the leftovers when I'm done.

No AT requires IOs to be effective, at least by official statement. However, if players feel the redside market is borked and don't want to use it, that is a piece of the overall game that is missing and makes it less appealing. This may be exaggeration, but imagine if base building didn't work as well for one faction as it did for the other. I think that would be a disincentive for anyone interested in base building to play on that side of the fence.

Sure you can. Server transfers are free until the end of this month.

Oh, and in case anyone wants to use the server transfers to move INF from Virtue or another server to Justice, I'm the official customs inspector there. I'll count the INF, just to make sure everything's in order and that no jerk hacking occurs. Of course, I get to keep a modest 5% of each transaction.

    It's a fact.
  16. If your characters have capes, they can get caught in doors and you'll have to log out.
  17. Mayhem missions feature exploding cars, trucks and barrels that can hurt you and knock you around. Also, you can get damaged by the flames in arson side-missions.

Any mission or zone event involving a Rikti bomb that you "defuse" by beating it to pieces.

Any mission using destructible generators - minor spoiler ahead:
The one on top of the WSPDR building in one of Marshal Brass' arcs is fun. Turn off your knockback resistance and see how much air you can get
  18. Placate.

Go beat up my buddy. Nothing to see here.

Wait, by common IOs, are you-all talking about the ones you can buy the recipes for from any crafting table? No reason to go to the market for those, unless they're cheaper. Or were you referring to pre-crafted ones only?
  21. Interesting guide, but regarding Burn you didn't mention that it is Fiery Aura's only inherent source of immobilization protection, and that protection is perma out of the box.

    Keep up the good work

Having the prices on one IO set at a specific level decrease does not prove that INF gain does not outpace ways to dispose of it. The market's topheavy, too. There's a lot more level 50 stuff generated recently than at other levels, otherwise the Mid-Level Crisis organization wouldn't exist.
  23. The Heckler & Koch VP70.
Why? It's the "Matilda" weapon from Resident Evil 4.

Prices tend to go up because there's inflationary pressure on the supply of INF. Players gain INF by defeating mobs and completing missions, but those activities only have a chance of dropping an item to sell or use. The supply of INF is greater than the amount of things to spend it on, so prices go up as the purchasing power of INF erodes.
  25. I think the last part of the statement applies to the aliens on earth (Khelds) who are generally peaceful... er.. violent and helpful.

The Void Hunters are most defnitely not nice, though.
