  1. I've got a lowbie plant/TA that I'm really enjoying at the moment. The synergy between the two is pretty respectable, can't wait till I get the higher level powers.

    Kinetic Crash

For the knockback protection IO, if I pick up, say, kick from the fighting pool, and slot Kinetic Crash into the(just the -kb one), do I need to actually use kick in order to get the protection, or do I just always have the knockback protection once the enhancement is slotted?
  3. Siphon life is indeed sweet, but smite was and still is the set-defining attack.
  4. Cool, thanks for the info, guys.
  5. Okay, so I've got a possible idea for a Spines/ but I could also go with Claws/ or Nin/ for concept. My question is, it's obvious AOE is spines' specialty, but is it possible to have a respectable single-target chain before 25, and if so, what would it be? I mean, lunge and impale are obvious, but it seems like my only other single targets are assassin's strike and barb swipe, and barb swipe has always seemed a bit lackluster to me...
  6. Didn't think I'd be posting in this thread for a few years... Anyway, longtime player of COH, Champion server fan here. Just had my first son six months ago :-) We didn't...expect him so soon, but hey, he's here and he's incredible, so I'm not complaining(except when he jilts me out of sleep). He's currently teething AND about to crawl, so we're in for a bumpy ride...
  7. I personally find my new BA/Shields to be my favorite brute by far. So many enemies popcorning around and so many big, red numbers it's ridiculous. I love it. Can't wait till I can pick up my AOE, that'll be even more fury-filled fun.

This is a easy fix click the button where all the color change at the same time an woala, change the interior color the click the button again to change the other colors. Hope you got me.

Dude...you just said the exact same thing the OP said. Except with a lot less detail, and poor grammar.

By the way, it's "voila" not "woala."

  11. I would love to see shield as a primary and secondary for both tanks and scrappers. But given a choice, I would rather see it as a secondary for scrappers, rather than a primary, because broadsword is just begging for it. Katana could get like a small shield on each arm, so they could keep the whole two-handed thing intact. Or they could relegate it to one-handed, which could make for some interesting RP and background story options.
  12. Just curious, with the advent of PVP has focused accuracy been graced with a +Perception attribute? Can anyone provide info on this?(seems like it would make sense...)
  13. Holy crap.

That's really all I can say. And here I thought the devs were being cool by implementing a board-suggested power change(something I though of as being a near impossibility since beta).
  14. Coordinate with other blasters on your team. Double sniping any enemy is deadly, pick one blaster to target off of(preferably the most experienced) and the other blaster should target off him.

Learn enemy AI. If you knock an enemy back on a pull you will ALWAYS get the whole group. If you try and pull a lieut, you will almost always get the whole group. If you hit a minion in the middle of a group, you will usually get the whole group, but if you hit the minion on the edge, you almost never get the whole group, provided you don't kill him or knock him back.

Pay attention to the defenders on your team. Learn what types of heals and buffs they use(in fact, stop in at the defender forum and ask a question or two, they love an openminded blaster). Some of them can only heal you when you're close to them, others when you're close to the enemy. Some barely heal at all, but if you pay attention to what they anchor with their debuffs you won't need to be healed at all as long as you don't arrest it.

Learn what it takes to take out an enemy. If a minor damage quick recharge attack is enough to take him out, don't use a high damage high recharge attack. You want the highest DPS possible and that means not stopping in your attack chain if possible(especially if you're primary defense is knockback, like an NRG blaster).

While your tactics may be your strength, your damage is your power. How you decide to deliver it is up to you, but remember that above all else you want to be able to arrest your chosen target as fast as possible, especially if he's bearing down on you like a freight train.

    Nice post! =)
