    A, AR, or DP?

I think what AR is balanced around is the sum of its parts, mores specifically the developers assume you take almost all of the AoEs in the set, which seems out of place with the current state of the game. If you skip some of the AoE's in AR (eg buckshot or flamethrower) you probably can't be as effective as archery for example which explains why full auto isn't as good as its counterpart in rains of arrows. I am not sure if that should be addressed because making flamethrower weaker to improve full auto to be comparable to rain of arrows, seems a like a difficult juggling act.

Regular DoT attacks actually hurt your chance to Scourge, since it checks once (at activation), and on the next attack activation the enemy's hp haven't dropped as much as they would if the attack had dealt all of its damage at once.
I can back this up because I have observed this with Full auto, where it will only scourge at the 50% range or lower of a mobs health when initially activated despite it being a DoT. But ignite is yummy.
  3. I feel satisfied with how proliferation has been done up to this point, but I am inclined to agree that the focus on new power sets should be priority now with the release of Going Rogue.

We already see the backbone of this from the Demons Summoning set, why not make a full set from this?
Change the whips it into chains, and you have a deal.
  4. I think it would be annoying to turn swift/hurdle into a toggle power, but it can be a lot like stalker hide where it doesn't take up any end to run.

And I agree that paralysis by analysis may be taken place here given the change seems good, but some of the concerns are legit.

    Agree/Disagree

I disagree, because stealth + SS, invisibility, etc can be accessed by other archtypes.
  6. I think if the power pools are revamped, and epic power pools are able to accessed earlier, I think this alleviates some of the concerns.

And I do like the idea of having the option of claiming the fitness powers if you like.

Some people truly do like natural builds, and fitness may not fit into their character concept if it is made inherent. But I suppose I am a special snowflake as I build purely on character concepts anyways.

I hate hate hate the default run speed. It is sooo SLOW. I take swift on all my characters at either 6 or 8, because I cannot stand running around without it. It is painful. I've tried using sprint, but then I feel like I'm moving too fast and it is a bit of an endurance hog. (Yes, hard to please I know.) I would actually take swift even if it wasn't needed for Stamina. I can't stand the early levels without it.

So may I be the first to declare that I would be seriously annoyed if swift was to suddenly disapear from my characters, not to return.
    This, a thousand times this.
  8. Rooftop Raider likes scrappers, Leo G like stalkers.

I have a hunch there is room for the perspective right in between no? :P

Anyways, the recent buffs to stalkers makes them very scrapperish, but still maintains the stalker play style. I am not sure further buffs that push stalkers towards playing like scrappers is a good idea, and why I lean against the idea. As for the idea of making AS non interuptible, well they could that, but it is hard to justify that much damage if it was like that. If they re-work snipes like that, I would have no problem with that being done to stalkers AS.

I think making the fear effect from AS more reliable would be on my wish list, and allow stalkers to benefit by the number of teammates in a team rather than in the vicinity for crit.
  9. I wouldn't mind a shake up in the power pools to be honest.
  10. Take stealth only for concept reasons, or play style IMVHO. If you are looking for a dependable power for in combat situations CJ is the better choice.

For builds that don't slot fitness powers I suppose it is a nice quality of life change.

I still plan on slotting the fitness powers though, which does open up a fair point brought up earlier. Yeah I have more powers to choose from, but I don't have enough slots to make them better.
  12. Yeah ignite is a shell of its former self, and I have resorted to using it as a anti melee tool...well except it still does some nifty damage.

If they increase the base values, I think being able to slot on top would be a bit much...unless they want you to be able to have "six slot stamina" again. :P
  14. Good change.

I am sure once it becomes inherent they will tune the fitness powers to be greater than one slot worth.

In general you're going to want to do two things as a /Nin stalker, close your KB hole (get at least one -KB IO), and max your positional defenses (range, melee, AOE).

You can't really "farm" as a DB Stalker. You can do high end content, sure, but "farming" is generally a function of AOE, and all Stalkers are pretty terrible at AOE,with the exceptions of Elec and maybe Spines.
DB is fine as an AOE set, which is why I am looking forward to One Thousand Cuts out of hide.
  16. Martial Arts is fine as is with the current changes.
  17. I don't want to play a scrapper.
  18. I find that I tend to take stealth often on other archtypes. Stalkers having it inherently, and the benefit of not sucking end is a nice perk. Throw in that they can crit from hide, and assassin strike is yummy, and you have an archtype that indeed appeals to certain people like me.
  19. Let me briefly say that, I have been having a blast thus far, and I don't think I can be bored of this game. I think the biggest reason why is there is always a different approach to the game. Not just power combinations, and costumes, but also travel powers. And leveling now can be done through tips, paper missions, task forces, outdoors, arcs, mission architect...simply so many options that it baffles me why some say the game is too repetitive. To be honest what makes an MMORPG good is the ability to make your own content, and CoX provides the playground to do so. There is always something to do in CoX which is something many MMORPGs can't say. And all the fun you can participate in this game isn't necessary (eg market, IO's, crafting, etc).

    Three cheers for CoX!

    Hip hip hooray!

    Thank you!
  21. Placate isn't necessary at lower levels, so if you want to fit in a travel power you can hold it off till later levels.

I am having a blast with the new and improved stalkers.
  23. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I noticed recently that the sniper rifle animation has the character aim twice before the firing animation goes off. If this was part of reducing the AR sniper animation disregard this post. :P
  24. I am in my 20s with a DB/EA stalker and I am having so much fun. Stalker DB has some drawbacks (eg requiring placate and build up for two of the combos), but also some advantages (eg looking forward to One Thousand Cuts).
  25. The original question of the poster didn't say which archtype scraps better, and has more epic moments.

Thanks for not answering the OPs question.
