  1. I was talking about efficiency. It's inefficient to run Hot Feet if it's not hitting multiple enemies. Kind of like using an AoE effect on a single target.
  2. Endurance can be a huge problem as well. Hot Feet is very expensive. I think it's worth it to do Tip missions and purchase the Miracle and Numina's uniques as soon as you can slot them. I ate endurance extremely quickly even if I only had Hot Feet on when there were two or more mobs in range of it.

    Your Top 5

One day in the near future, War Witch decides she needs to leave the games industry to raise platypi in Idaho.

Paragon Studios is crushed, but it's okay, because you step up to take charge of the game.

(I realize War Witch doesn't make all the decisions, but I wanted to be very slightly more interesting than, "What if you were in charge?")

So what are your top five projects to improve the game?

    Mine:
    1) Massive balance pass on every archetype and power set. Find a way to make Gravity Control have more control early. Give Kheldians some benefit from their inherents while solo and give Peacebringers some more power synergy and reliable control. Find a way to make Stalkers more desirable in team play. Etc.

I would want to find a way to allow players to choose the "legacy" version of a powerset, so we can make awesome sweeping changes if they're needed without butting up against the cottage rule.

    2) Moar proliferation. I wanna play Ice Armor on something other than a tank. Some folks are gonna 'splode if they don't get Illusion Dominators, etc.

    3) Costume creation overhaul. I would want to streamline the current options and overhaul the interface for ease of use. I want to add pool, EAT, and Patron/APP customization. I want to see hats with hair options. I want to see parity for the genders, adding the Baron coat for women and high heels, skirts, lots of long hair, etc. for men. I would love to see animated hair, fingers, butt-capes,etc. If necessary for performance, restrict things so some of these things are mutually exclusive. Add a high-performance static setting in the visual options so people can reduce lag in large gatherings if they need to.

    4) Add an underwater zone. We could face aquatic enemies, check out more of the lore of the Corolax, and explore sunken ruins. This is the perfect excuse to add aquatic-themed costume parts. I really want tentacles.

    5) Create an Incarnate-level task force fighting clones of the players. It would be quite cool, I think, to face a mirror of your own buffed and maxed characters.

I don't know if it's true or not, but the IMDB Trivia page for Conan the Barbarian says Arnold was so huge at the time that he couldn't swing a sword properly. Your quote amused me for that reason.

Conan is generally described as large and well-muscled, but always likened to a panther, which calls to mind more lean muscle.

I'm far more interested in whether Momoa can pull off the charisma I think of when I think of Conan. Yes, he was a barbarian, but he was also a leader of men, and a king.
  5. Keep in mind, if you opt for a control archetype, that the destroyer bosses and lieutenants are very difficult to control. They shrug off holds at the base level, and Domination holds don't last very long.

I knew I was missing something obvious. Many thanks.

I think I had myself convinced there was a guy to talk to, like Merits and Alignment Merits.
  7. I'm probably missing something obvious, but I've been looking for a while and haven't seen it, so I'll ask anyway. Where do we trade in Astral and Empyrean merits?

    Gee. I'm ever so tempted.

To play, I enjoy fire-and-forget support. VEATs, Traps, etc. I don't like constant re-buffing.* Although, control really is my favorite.

To play with, I like the ones that can do a bit of everything. Storm, Rad, Dark, etc. I like to play with people that have a variety of ways to help, rather than the more single-focused sets like FF. Yes, I know FF does a few things, but defense is the main focus.

*My first character on live was a FF defender. I played on large teams quite a lot. I'm still burned out.
  9. I'd love to see pictures. I really like seeing people's creations.

As for endurance troubles, it usually helps to add the standard IOs in health and stamina (Numina's and Miracle Unique in Health and Performance Shifter in Stamina). It's kind of a long road via alignment merits, though.

It literally makes the mission impossible to complete.

I had that happen a week or so ago. I died and came back. I was able to lure the ambush away from her, defeat them, and complete the mission.

I went back to where she was to verify that was what happened, and got shot in the face some more. She was visible but still not targettable.
  11. I've tried stuff like this a number of times. What I mean is, I'd tell myself, "Okay, I need to pick one hero and one villain," or, "I'll only play VEATs because they cover melee and ranged and then I want have to change characters all the time."

For me it doesn't usually work. I'll still get the urge to make an alt, play something else, or get frustrated with whatever character I'm "supposed" to be working on. I seem to be a lot happier if I just allow myself to play whatever I feel like at the moment and let the progress come as it will.

Other than that, it really helps to not delete a character unless I desperately need the character slot. Eventually I usually find the urge to play a character that I had burned out on before. It's nice when they still exist for me to come back to.

I think he's more suited to Kull, personally. We could use a decent Kull movie. The Kevin Sorbo thing was interesting in a mindless sort of way, but it had very little to do with the Atlantian philosopher king.

    Deleters Remorse

    I regret a few deletions.

One of the ones I regret most is one of my first villains. I deleted her when they changed villain Invulnerability to be black. The character was made with the silliness of rainbow Invuln and the pink pom-poms of Energy Melee in mind. Of course, if I'd held on to her I could have changed the colors back when Power Customization came along. I had no clue it was coming, though.
  14. I'm a huge Robert E. Howard nerd. I'm cautiously optimistic about the casting, but forcing it into 3D is worrisome.
  15. Obviously I don't know for sure. I just found out about it too. My theory would be that it would be more programming trouble than it's worth (or plain impossible) to check to see if you're doing the sweep combo before checking for procs, so it just allows them regardless.
  16. If I put an Achilles' Heel proc in Ablating Strike, well it have a chance to go off on everyone the Sweep hits, or just the initial target?
  17. My husband's BS/DA scrapper looks like a cloud with a gigantic sword sticking out of it when he runs Cloak of Darkness. That may work for you.
  18. Back-loading was a pain in the butt, too. You'd fight a sea of green-cons and then get smacked down by the red boss in the back. Of course, back then you fought bosses solo by default. Many were the newb characters that got smacked down by Bonefire, with the Hellion and Skull boss spawn.

I think there are still a couple back-loaded, sorta. One of the Port Oakes missions has green Hellions at the start, anyway.

As for +1s in low-level missions, I wouldn't mind seeing them go away. There could be a Pop Help message at level six or so that says, "Now that you've gotten used to the game a bit, you'll begin to see enemies one level above you in missions."

That way they get a feel for things before facing +1s, and don't think it's a bug when they do.
  19. There are several spitting/breath animations in Poison, although that's obviously not something you can pair with shields.
  20. I'm not saying that Cysts/Quantums/Voids are insurmountable or a huge threat. They are something that the team wouldn't have to deal with on literally any archetype outside of Kheldians, though. I don't want to bring any annoyance to a team.

Most players who try to solo or duo-level their PB gonna get disappointed due to this inherent mechanic. It makes a huge difference.
I never play my PB on a team. I would feel like I was griefing them with the constant knockback, Cysts, and the danger of me suddenly croaking due to a Void/Quantum I didn't see.

I am familiar with hover blasting, but I really don't enjoy it.
  22. Neurotoxic Breath is not enough on its own, I don't think, but it is a fairly significant mitigation tool. Noxious Gas would work fine as an ally-targeted power like Sonic's Disruption Field.

I find it okay enough when I have pets to keep me safe in a crowd. I wouldn't play poison as a Corruptor, though, due to its single-target nature. I don't think it would have to be changed too much.
