made up my mind sorta my goal is to have two heroes and two villians one melee and one ranged for both but looking for the best for each side/playstyle. the trick here is i want a strong melee & ranged for solo for red side and strong melee & ranged for blue side grouping. so far i made a fire/dark corr praetorian and a grav/psi dom both was thinking for blue side but which would do better in groups and not die alot ?. for my melee i made a kin/wp scrapper figure its worth a try but not sure if it would be the best

for the villian side of this coin i was maybe going to move my db/nin stalker back to red side unless i can find a stronger solo melee toon. for ranged i'm not sure if i should keep my crab spider lvl 26 or find something better however i know that i can setup a 2nd build for bane or atleast it was mentioned to me but i'd be stuck looking at the backpack in bane spec. so if i could find a way to make my soldier go from crab to bane and vise versa that toon alone could cover both melee & ranged.

bottomline is i want melee & ranged for both sides that are pretty good damage, have a nice secondary maybe with a mix bag of tricks that will solo/team well.
i'm sure this might become abit confusing to some to have such a mixed idea but better this way then having two to four seperate posts lol.

my past experience that worked out for mixed bag of tricks is secondarys like willpower, ninjitsu, dev, traps, dark but wouldn't mind trying something different if there is such a thing lol.

I've tried stuff like this a number of times. What I mean is, I'd tell myself, "Okay, I need to pick one hero and one villain," or, "I'll only play VEATs because they cover melee and ranged and then I want have to change characters all the time."

For me it doesn't usually work. I'll still get the urge to make an alt, play something else, or get frustrated with whatever character I'm "supposed" to be working on. I seem to be a lot happier if I just allow myself to play whatever I feel like at the moment and let the progress come as it will.

Other than that, it really helps to not delete a character unless I desperately need the character slot. Eventually I usually find the urge to play a character that I had burned out on before. It's nice when they still exist for me to come back to.

Make a Widow and use one build for a Fortunata and another for a night Widow. Fortunata build = ranged, Night Widow build = melee, both are excellent soloists (once you get higher level and some IOs) and also great on teams. Make her a Rogue so she can solo in the Isles and go join teams in Paragon.

There you go, all four requirements in one character, so you can make the rest anything you want.

Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name
