There is some, but not a lot. Most people in that range save merits and tickets to roll when they hit 50. So only the ones that drop and don't get vendored appear on the market. Kind of a shame as i'd love a robust level 40-45 market for exemplaring.

Quote:While emailing inf is handy it's not really a big one for me. In order, my wishes are:I logged in and emailed myself 800 million inf. I don't know what the devs could do to make me happier.
1. PvP Minigames (capture the flag, etc)
2. Huge body style for females.
3. All outfits (including dresses and skirts, tattoos hair cuts, etc) available for both sexes.
4. Offline SG invitation/promotion.
5. Infinite market slots for all characters or at least 30-50 per character -
Quote:I'm still curious to see how a fire/rad corrupter fares on this one. If the AI stacks the AM auras, they'll be devastating. Pretty much infinite health, infinite endurance, super speed, and damage capped. that's why people make whole teams of fire/rads for storming through content.Good thing you don't fight 8 clones hero side...I could only imagine the disaster it would be on my ill/rad troller. 24 unaffected phantom army, 8 phantasms, 8 spectral terrors, and rad toggles. That would be horrid!
Makes me wonder if there is a damage cap for NPCs. If not... ouch! -
Quote:I dunno the uptime on my heal but it's definitely not every 30 seconds. My defenses are all under 25%, and I don't think actually over 20%, I'd have to check. My status protection is not perma (I have one working and one expired SO, so it probably will be once I drop a second generic Recharge in there) and let me pause again to mentally wish the developer who came up with the idea of click-based status protection a naked trip down a waterslide built of rusty razors and filled with lemonjuice. F$%^& bas@#$%^. ok, back on topic now. I have no resists to anything, and spines gives no mitigation except knockdown from ripper and is the lowest damage primary filled with dots so things stand there hitting me longer than on say anything else that exists.Seriously? My /Nin Stalker at 27 already felt strong and far from squishy BEFORE the buffs (27 because I slotted up energy transfer, but we're talking about secondaries here).
She had 2 IOs only, a knockback prot and a Steadfast unique. That was enough to approach 30% defenses (22% from toggles, 5% from hide supressed+CJ and 3% from the unique). Even without the steadfast she'd be alright, 27% defs and the heal every 30 seconds. All on SO's.
And primaries do factor into it really. Even with buildup and 6-slotted ripper (my highest damage attack other than AS), I can't one-shot minions. With my crappy defenses that one extra attack I need to make per enemy means they are doing a lot more damage to me than if I had, say Ninja Blade or Dark Melee. At least both of those have some built in mitigation on top of the higher damage. Even your energy melee has both stuns and higher damage.
Quote:I can't understand how you think a toon with such numbers at level 22 could be squishier than a blaster or dom who have no mez protection, no crits, no hide and no significant defense on SOs, unless you built it horribly wrong.
Per my combat tab, on the rad/mm blaster I'm working on right now, she has the aoe damage to drop an entire spawn in 2 shots. With no significant defense (hover), the enemy has about an 75% chance to hit her. Against my /Nin they have about a 50-64% chance but they get many more attacks off due to my massively lower damage. this is the crux of the problem.
Quote:My fm/sd scrapper is far squishier and relies on insps much more, because of her 24% defs (with the steadfast) and no self heal. She just kills stuff insanely fast because of FSC and AAO 9no shield charge yet.
so, yes he's much squishier. much much squishier. Regen is not fire and forget, but with the toggles going and dull pain you're really tough. Just push the click heal once in a while as needed and focus all your attention on killing things. Higher level, mog before a fight, shadowmeld during if needed, heal now and again. -
If you run Incinerate-scorch-cremate-scorch, that can be a seamless chain on DOs with haste. And is nearly seamless when haste is down. Really high damage too. Greater fire sword is very slow. Looks awesome though.
I always forget reactive armor is 1.25% s/l for some reason my brain thinks it's one of the .9% ones.
On healing flames, it is a minor recharge difference (I'm guessing like 2 or 3 seconds tops) BUT, it also comes with a bit more healing per activation (I'm guessing like 10 to 20), and 2.5% recovery from Miracle and 12% Regen from Numina's. All total the four advantages do add up over the minor difference in endurance.
Blueside, what do you need to worry about perception for? Do you run that many arachnos missions? I was thinking not about the to-hit, but swapping for the tohit/recharge gives you a bit more recharge and should be enough to let you drop one of the common IO recharges so you can move the slot elsewhere and pickup more goodies. I know redside I want either the proc or leadership somewhere on every character because there is so much blind. But blueside just don't run into it pretty much ever. Yellows have always been sufficient for my heroes. -
not meaning to hijack the thread, but when soloing the ITF, how do you shut down the healing nictus? or do you just down him first THEN start on Rommi?

Quote:One of these days I might make a character who is capable of making a legitimate effort on the pylon test. As it stands nothing I own can survive three shots and I only have two that will make it to the third volley. And as for damage... all my scrappers and brutes are reliably out damaged by tanks. And I'm not joking and it's not even close either. Doesn't help that my best scrapper is broadsword = all lethal = majorly resisted (and I believe per The Results Are In, nearly tied with Spines for the lowest damage scrapper primary available). This thread was a good read.
I think I had my first real taste of powerset envy when I kept checking back into the Pylon Results thread.
Seeing FM/SD and DM/SD break the 300DPS mark while my claws/sr hit the wall at 200 was, quite frankly, kinda sad.
Made me annoyed that I couldn't make a claws/sd, regardless of the fact that such a combo would have even MORE ridiculous amounts of AoE damage.
Luckily, I just play for fun and I enjoy most of my characters. If I were competitive I'd have given up a long, long time ago. -
however, keep in mind that afraid is not fear. Some things are immune to afraid but vulnerable to fear. Fear is the one that makes you cower in place. Afraid makes you walk out of a damage patch.
-
There is something in the aggro rules about debuffs causing more aggro than just damage alone does. So compared to the fire I think the cold demon would be a bit of an aggro magnet. Might be why he gets picked on. Or at least part of it anyway.
-
You can kinda go either way. My plant/ice is pretty much a controller with better damage. But my Fire/Psi is pretty much a blaster with a bit of control. Fire/Fire is the king of damage though.

Quote:I forget the %, but you don't need it full. At 65% I think you're doing the same or more damage as a scrapper after crits. at 100% you're doing a fair bit more.I just got my first brute to 50, and I gotta say that I'd rather have crits than maintain fury. Solo it's a wash, but when your in groups who never seem to run at my same pace or have other guys battling me for fury, keeping it full can be troublesome to say the least.
Crits > Fury -
That is a change, I forget which issue added it. You still need one on each side, but now you don't need them on each server.
-
Works for me. I had a small issue with login that was fixed by altering my graphics settings. The AH was up literally 6 minutes before I am making this post and working fine. My level 7 MM now has 8 million from selling rare salvage bought with AE tickets and some large inspirations.
I can't say anything about the sound errors, as I have sound turned off so I can listen to Cape Radio when I play.
On the other hand, I can remember people saying the exact same thing about every single release since I've been playing the game (2 year vet). THIS one is the worst, THIS one is still beta condition, NEVER BEFORE has there been so many complaints. Do some forum searches, literally every single issue people say the same thing. -
Fire/Rad corrupters with stacked AM. anyone know if the AI will unleash the wave of AMs or if only one will go off?

Quote:Few new costumes in GR also. There moving where now. The booster packs have bin coming out for a while now. The resin little in the way of new costumes being released is because the art team are busy on a little thing called Going Rouge. We are talking about a whole new world with new zones, enemies, ATs, the mysterious Incarnate system, new story lines and of coarse costume pieces. So much so that as they have stated they have little time for responding to forum questions But even with there heavy workload they still found time to add new mission arias. Be a little more grateful and a lot more patient. Or my brand spanking new demons will eat you. : P

Quote:Pffft. Logic. When has that ever been relevant? Here is my theory.
All too often they have popped the badge, freespec and costume tokens beginning on the same day. Then because a few years it came with an issue release and new powersets they had to listen to lots of complaints and re-issue the freespec later.
So they decided to hold off on all of it until next week and this way people wouldn't be hopping around logging in to get badges instead of hitting the anniversary events and checking out the new stuff for Issue 17. -
Quote:]the trick is that if you had any other primary, you would be doing even more.I must be doing it wrong because my Merc/Traps MM seems to kick tremendous *** everywhere he goes.
Quote:Is it the best Mastermind Primary? That answer will always depend on what you're trying to do. If the answer is "everything, all of the time" I'd say it's damn close. -
Just remember except for your Commando's flamethrower you're looking at virtually 100% lethal damage. The most commonly resisted and the highest resisted damage type in the game. You will come to despise robots and freaks who can show up with 50-75% resist to your minions. That Achilles heel will reduce the impact of enemy resistance, and in the few cases where the enemy has none, it is still a damage boost.
the nice thing is almost all your dudes attacks have a -def component so you don't need to worry about accuracy as much in longer fights. -
Quote:Put the stealth into sprint instead of SS and if you exemp below SS you at least have something still available. Plus, it frees up a slot for -knockback or -slow resist. My rad/sonic can do all of what you started with the exception of teleportation. (I have recall) My SS has a stealth IO in it, and i have recall before 20, so he can stealth TP any tf in the game, IIRC, debuff, buff, and do some damage. Granted, I'm not a team carrier in the shadow shard, cause i prefure superspeed over teleport for travel and it opened up near full inviso for me to use, in conjuction with my recall, since my pools where maxed out. (Fitness / Speed / Leadership / Teleport) Just ran out of power choices. LOL.
I'd highly recommend it. It can do alittle bit of everything "support" wise, and does it all well.Never been on a TF "Failure" with this guy. Cause a powerboosted veng and fallout pretty much turns the rest of us into gods and whatever was unlucky enought to kill someone into fodder.

Quote:Jealousy is ugly. It corrodes your morality and clouds your judgment. It also steals your ability to enjoy what you have.I don't really know where else to put this but is anyone else rather pissed that just about anyone can get a EAT now?
There are called Epic or Prestige because it is a badge of honor just having one. I know when I was a newb I used to think it was so cool when someone had HEAT you had to earn it, you had to know what you are doing, you had to work to get it. Now just some dumb *** newb who spend a week getting to 20 can get one. It took me 8 months to get my 1st 50 blueside and I had been playing almost 2 years before I got a 50 redside.
Of course, as I type this I kind of feel bad for people who dont get to feel the joy of getting their 1st 50 after putting in all that work and now getting to experience this cool new AT they just unlocked (if you are like me you would have been looking forward to it forever). So I guess they have been deprived of something.
I know this is just a rant but WTF? Why did they make this change?
If I am at a gourmet 5-star restaurant and the couple next to me got a free meal but I have to pay full price. My food still tastes exactly the same. My waiter will treat me exactly the same. The restaurant still has the same atmosphere, furniture, decorations. If I let jealousy steal the pleasure from my dinner, that's my fault, my problem, my weakness.
In short, grow up and don't blame the developers for your own character flaw. -
Greater fire sword is really just a set mule. You won't be using it, so either trade the power for blazing aura with oblits, or pull the mako's.
Put the slots into plasma shield, tough, or fire shield and get one set of Titanium Armor. Health bonus plus more S/L than Reactive Armor gives.
On Healing flames, pull the harmonized healing and doctored wounds and instead do the heal/rech from Miracle and Numina. Slightly better up times and you get nice set bonuses. Really the end isn't so bad on healing flames.
I would use the reticle tohit/recharge instead of perception. Unless this is for PvP, which I don't think it is. Then I'd move one slot from build up to fireball and go with 5 posi's. -
Wasn't /invuln used to set the record for soiling the most simultaneous gm-created AVs?
Can /Shield beat the record? -
Quote:If you are looking for the best "cheap" damage attack chain you want incinerate-scorch-cremate-scorch. The two swords are actually bad damage for their activation/recharge times. It occurs to me that I haven't considered an attack chain. That said, GFS has to fit in there too, and I want to do FSC every chance I get.
Gaussians gave me a 2.5% damage bonus and a chance for extra buildup when I buildup. Seemed like a good idea.
Healing flames doesn't have any recharge IOs. Those are resist damage. I couldn't think of anything else to put there.
But if you must have them then you must. I know I think they look awesome.
