That's all. Reminds me to stick to the older TF's.

You'd love the villain version then.

Jump cancel has been out for ages, yes. However I'm pretty certain that running cancel is a "feature" of i17, because I play my bane alot and I haven't been able to do it before this issue. Atleast for SOA's, don't know about AR.

I noticed this early in the beta, but I didn't really want to report it. I knew someone more virtuous would eventually report it for some reason, so I'd just enjoy the running and gunning while it lasts. And yeah, it's a glitch.
    lol

Sad yet true, but I'm really starting to lose my patience when everything breaks down simultaneously, especially when I can't get salvage or craft. Add in crashing for some people and I can really see why they are rather unhappy with the situation considering this "free" issue.
  5. Seeing how BM and globals are both down at the moment, I can commiserate with Severe.

Yeah, but in the actual game things don't always go smooth like that. In theory, but it only goes so far after you get hit by quicksand, you got bunch of enemies debuffing you, watchers, flashbangs or overall just hard hitting enemies and so on and so forth.
And by panic power I really meant something that stalkers get, like aoe -acc, self heal or something.

Frankly, though, SoAs are not Defence dependant builds. Crab Spiders certainly aren't. They have less defence than most other SoA builds and the Widow builds, and make up for it with res based powers.
And I'll add to the 'never had a problem with *most* EBs'. The exceptions being KB wh*res like the Ballista's, and vermin like Calistyx and his pet boss army.
Yeah crabs are resistance based with self heal, they don't really need -def res. That's why they can tank if built with some thought. I was just saying that banes rely more on defense, since they can only have so much resistance. When banes get hit through soft cap, they can't really remedy this since they don't have a panic power which many of the def based classes have. Besides, I'm not really a fan of taking bunch of third pools (which are available to everyone) to beef myself up at the cost of endurance in order to survive.
    Just saying.

I don't know how much people paid attention to them pre-17, but now the ragdolls are not given enough movement time. Therefore when the enemies fall on their backs, they usually end up in really weird positions. I know there are people who don't really pay attention, but I noticed this right away.
  9. Oddly I have hardly ever had problems with EB's on my bane. The few exceptions are the EBs with retarded damage output (AE) OR the ones with "god mode" (long and redundant slugfest.)

However I do take issue to some of the -def attacks that certain mobs have. One off the top of my head is "burst", which floors defense when it's being stacked by multiple foes. Since banes don't really have panic powers, it can be little bit troublesome.
  10. E-mail attachments.
To be able to send money and enhancements to your alts, without having a 2nd player or an account.
I could always get a person to do the transfer for me, but most of the time they thought they'd be funny ************* and delay the transfer by going "oh I'm going now, thanks for the money, ha ha just kidding" because after 28th time it got pretty old.

    So yeah, about ******* time!
  11. Yeah UM is a nice addition (when it works as it is supposed to...), but it doesn't really change the way I play.

Other additions are fine too, especially the e-mail attachment, but I still think that the new ragdoll physics are done really bad. I'd actually like to know who came up with the idea for that change.
  12. I've got to agree with the people above, ragdoll physics really make the game more bearable and combat more fun.
Overall it makes me happy to kill bunch of enemies with a certain combo and watch the bodies hit the floor one-by-one with ragdoll physics. Or just kill a guy and watch him fall off a ledge.

Too bad that the i17 ragdoll physics are goofier than ever. The ragdoll physics in the game are not perfect, but the new ones included in issue 17 are way worse and can't be considered an improvement.
  13. Black scorpion is a pretty cool guy, eh givs corrs gd shield and aoe immob and doesnt afraid of anything...

Personally I would try them, they do offer some damage and and holding capabilities, but you have very little control over it.

I had them on my bane, but I respec'd them in favor of more leadership powers.
Judging by my experience, the two disruptors alone are not very survivable in combat. It seemed that they were able to survive situations that I could have just soloed to begin with and when the things got out of hand, they'd be the first ones to get wrecked.

But like I said, try them first.

Yeah, I know it's not easy to design zones for the whole lvl 1-50 process, but I was sort of thinking that'd one of the reasons why this is a retail expansion.

Hell yeah, that's my one true concern with this expansion. I'm worried that there's only low-level content in Praetoria, although I want to stay in faith that there'd be missions/TFs for my lvl 50's aswell.
  17. Wasn't able to copy paste the thing to Mids at first, but then I remembered that the code requires [code] and [*slash*code].

I would roll a different combination though, but that's just me. lol
  18. I think I picked Soul Mastery on my bane/gunbane. I picked the pool because I tend to solo occasionally so I use the -acc when fighting tough enemies and huge mobs.

I would say Soul or Mu if you are using the gun build. I feel the mace just gets in the way due to redraw.

Yeah, I got to agree with you there.
Banes are decent damage-wise, melee attacks are devastating, mace blasts are weak (excluding PS) and the gun has aoe that's slightly behind crab's potential.

Even if you do or don't compare bane to a stalker or another type of VEAT, those characters don't have to (in most cases) **** around as much with redraw as bane has to. Also survivability differences.

Didn't take bayonet, because the bane melee powers are more practical IMO.

[Also, with regard to the topic, bayonet's not a "bane" power anyway.
Great, I was refering to the NPC's.

    Worst Mobs Ever.

From all this time I have to say the the worst mobs overall are the Vanguard Sword.
The minions and lieautenants are bearable (if you are not dependent on +res), but the wizard bosses (with their end drain curse that lasts for two hours) are just ******* annoying. Sappers are bad, but atleast they can be killed within seconds.

Also there's that longbow EB you fight during RWZ story arc, the guy who looks like regular Ballista. Going against him with a toon that has limited KB protection is like playing pinball.

    Any Europeans?

That's not a stupid decision at all,
coming from a player who spent 3 years in EU and experienced both of the English servers. I have been playing here for the past 15 and something months.

Think there may be some EU refugee channels, but I haven't really researched that. Nevertheless, I have found that these servers (especially this particular one) hold more people at any given time compared to the Union, not to mention Defiant. This is really good for people who enjoy playing villains mostly (since villains are sometimes severely outnumbered.)
Actually CoV was my main reason for coming here, that and the Eu forums which were, to say it nicely, miserable.

I tend to play with a couple of Eu refugees who are on my global list and their friends, I'm from Finland myself, we got few Brits and couple of Spaniards.
  24. Yeah,

    or the recipe storage/transfer.
  25. Oh well.

There wasn't any new info in them anyway (those sneak peek demonstrations in youtube were way better) and I can say there was atleast this one time I tried to be helpful, lol.

For some reason they opened that way when I tried, and I tried using my table comp ,laptop and also my friend's laptop.
