    I have one of these and can confirm it is a beast.Nothing in range of my PbAoE's is on their feet to attack me, and just feeds my regen.
    I bult for max HP's (of course), defense and recharge. I went with Ghost Widow as my patron for the -to hit and combined with my built up defense numbers, im softcapped.
    Yes you will want both quick recovery and stamina as this build chews thru end especially with good recharge to keep evrything on their backs and debuffed.

  2. If i have a set of say Absolute Amazement and i have 3 powers that accept them for slotting, if i slot 2 pieces into 3 diferent powers, will I effectively gain the 4% recovery bonus 3 times?Has this been tried?

    perma soul drain

    My apologies, when i said i had figured my global recharge was 130% i was including hasten.I've adjusted the build a little and got the recharge on soul drain a little lower. Here is the build im currently looking to create after i get some lvls.
    Note, some powers and slotting are not set in stone and lvl selection will probably change.
    Does anyone see any changes i could make?

    perma soul drain

    Is this even possible?I decided to roll a DM/Ela brute and working on my build in Mids.I seem to recall hearing that having doul drain perma was possible and yet the best i can do is 41sec recharge with the normal 30sec uptime.Thats with 130% global recharge and a set of gaussians slotted in the power.I even broke the bank a bit and slotted 2 purple sets to get my global up that high.
    Does anyone know if having perma soul drain is possible without overly gimping the build/slotting purples everywhere?
    I guess it might be possible with dropping dmg output somewhat and slotting all for recharge?

    Stacking holds

    I have an Ice/Dark corr that im currently planning/building and am curious how the mechanic for hold stacking operates.
    Once the build is complete, these are the numbers I should have according to Mids.

    Freeze Ray-Mag 3/duration 18.3 sec.
    Bitter freeze ray-mag3/duration 18 sec.
    Petrifying gaze-mag3/duration 11.8 sec.

    If i should apply all 3 holds on a target does that in effect grant me a total of a Mag 9 hold?Also, is the duration concurrent or consecutive?ie.. a total of 48.1 seconds of total hold duration?

    Inv/Fm build

    This is what I'm looking at as my final build, any tweaks/suggestions would be most welcome. I'm looking at soft-capping to sl and low 30%'s for e/ne/f/c def. my question's are mostly about the resists, they seem low to me outside of s/l.Is this about where it should be?Should i try to fit in resist elements as well, tho i don't see where right away. Note that all defense numbers are with one enemy in range.

    Hi gang.My base is almost complete (shame it's mostly a solo base now, largest secure plot size avail, prolly worth about 20+ million prestige),and I'm looking to make a cemetary/graveyard look for a room.Anyone have any ideas on what would make a good tombstone.I've looked thru the options, but can't really see anything that fits the bill.
    Also, soon i'm gonna want to show it off but i don't know how to take screenshots and post links to them ie..what site to use. Im pretty proud of what i've accomplished so far and after i finish up the last couple of rooms i'd like to brag a bit .

  8. Thinking about making over one of my villains for PvP.I have never tried it before and i realize i may not have optimal primaries/secondaries to bring but am wondering if any of these might be workable. If so any build advice would be apreciated.
    Also I prefer melee but not sure how brutes in PvP do.
    1: lvl 50 Fier/fire brute
    2: lvl 50 SM/WP brute
    3: lvl 50 DB/SR brute
    4: lvl 50 fire/kin corr
    5: lvl 50 Rad/Rad corr
    6: lvl 40 ice/dark corr

    As you can see, im looking more at a red side PvPer and these characters are the ones i may be interested in trying.
    Secondly, what patron should i be using, what do they bring to the table for PvP?
  9. Wow, I must say, Thank You a ton Sant. I've read many of your posts and always informative, but this time you asked a question that sparked my interest immensely.

    Been playing for a long time, issue 1 i believe (at 62 months vet time), and lately i've hit kind of a rut where it feels like im just showing up so to speak.
    Feels like ive pretty much done it all over and over, except for a few things.
    However, ive never tried a dedicated PvP toon. You, Sir, have re-sparked an interest and curiousity.
    Actually, thanks to all that posted, it's all helpful and i'm gonna use it as well.
    For the first time in forever, i created a character off my home of Pinn and made a scrapper on Freedom to learn as i go a little better.

  10. ok, first,thanks for the feedback.Utilizing both ideas, i made these changes.
    Dropped 2 slots from weave and replaced a slot with a Kismet +to hit.I then added a slot to Lotus Drops and switched to the eradication set (maintains the same added def bonus to AoE and adds to my ranged by 1.56%). Added a slot to Golden Dragonfly and placed a force feedback chance for rech. I should be steadily able to line up multiple targets for the proc to fire. Pulled a slot out of build up to complete the BotZ set in CJ. These small changes seem to add a lot. thanks Much.

    PS. Werner, i didnt place a purple set into GC yet because im pulling from multiple toons for this build and i already have 1 Armaggeddon set so thats why i have that one at all.As additional influence comes in, ill add it to the build accordingly.

In the circles i've been running in, I've heard alot of negativity about the staying power of regen as a secondary.Now, I haven't played regen since IH was a toggle, so my opinion on it is decidedly dated but i do recall it being a very active secondary. I've since taken this challenge to heart and chose Katana as my primary for the defense bonus provided thru divine avalanche.Now before i post my build i have a few questions if someone would be kind enough to answer.
    1) I'm trying to maintain a passive regen of 600% with some moderate defense to ranged and AoE as a compliment to DA bonus'. Is this a smart aproach?
    2)I did do a fairly quick scan of the forums and my understanding is recharge is the name of the game with regen.Is this so and what lvls of recharge should i be looking into?
    3)I kept The Lotus Drops in the build for some AoE dmg to accompany Flashing steel, should i try to free up another slot from somewhere (tho i dont see where yet) to place a 2nd achille's heel proc in it?
    4) what attack chain should i be looking at?

  12. My question is about my arch/MM blaster but in a more general way. I'm wondering if i stack stealth from the concealment pool with a celerity stealth IO will i be able to enter the middle of a group and cast aim/concentration/RoA/drain psyche and psychic shockwave in relative safety as a massive alpha without detection. I could lead with Flash freeze from the epic pool as well if needed. I know that superspeed combined with a stealth IO provides adequate "invisibility" but I am not a fan of using SS.I know my after RoA drops they will be alerted to my prescence but I'm hoping a scatter effect of sorts happens first.
    When coupled with the slow effect from flash freeze, am i better off leading with PS and finishing with RoA?
    Is this viable?

    I am indeed using focused accuracy as a set mule to obtain my 5th 5% recharge bonus.Ill cut back on the defensive slotting and free up more slots for consumption.Ill have to see where i can pick up additional recharge. I will slot the Hecatomb set per your instructions Umbral and slot a set of ToD in the place of the CI set, however, i am curious as to where else needs work if you would be so kind.

  16. During a drunken respec attempt (yes, I play on Pinnacle) I accidently sold afew hundred million worth of sets and uniques. To rebuild myself to my former glory is going to take many merits as many of the IO sets and Uniques i had are now extremely hard to come by/expensive.
    Which Oro flashback arcs are fairly quick, fun and offer a fairly decent amount of merits upon completion. This would be blue side.

  17. Hi all, so after years of putting it off, i find myself rolling a new MM.I must say, even tho im only lvl 3 right now, i can see that her future is leaving me in the dark.
    First, having never played a MM before, im unsure of tactics, ie.. bodyguard mode. is this auto on when i set to follow?
    Second, She's thugs/pain, and i truly have no idea at skippable powers ie.. weapon attacks.
    Thirdly, i have no idea at power pool selections, although i can see that leadership would be a tremendous help.
    If anyone could please post a build that i can draw from i would appreciate it very much.
    Strange to see that after years of playing this game and seeing countless MM's in action i have no idea how to maximize a build with them.Which IO sets would be best ect..

    Inv/Fm build

    Sorta new to tankers and while working up a build on mids I'm at a loss as to slotting, power selection and IO placement.I'm an old hand at FM although it's been restricted to brutes and scrappers so i'm not entirely sure about combustions utility.I can see that it would be helpful for agro control (keeping it on me) but the dmg seems somewhat anemic.
    Also, is it better to slot for typed or positional def? I'm assuming typed as it seems a better way to go.What kind of defense numbers can i expect when properly outfitted. This includes tough/weave inclusion of course.

    Tanker vs EB's

    I realize that the primary role of a tanker is agro control/taking dmg. I'm in the process of rolling a tanker (Inv/FM) and am wondering on solo-ability if needed and wether a solo tanker can put out enough dmg to (fairly quickly) defeat Elite Bosses. As an example, would my tanker, properly outfitted be able to solo the Tina McIntyre and Maria Jenkins arcs?

  25. Hi all, i have a 45 FM/SR scrapper that ill have soft capped in another lvl. I already have aid self,to cover what gets thru. I also have the miracle and Numina uniques and the perf shifter proc for end. I have 2 more power picks left.Note, I'll actually soft-cap by 38. but i still have 2 more power picks and am stuck on what to choose.

    Don't really need hasten as quickness plus slotting means my att chain is good.Don't really want focused acc as its a big end drain.Conserve power might be good for an AV fight, but not necessary for regular play.Can take resucitate to help others, but still leaves me one.
    So here I am, on the edge of "Godhood" wondering what will help most.
