Quote:Will there be farming in PI ahead of time or is this BYOEoE's?Quote:We will be hunting Monsters in The Hive to spawn Hami and in doing so we will collect the needed EoE's. However if you would like to bring some, that is cool too.
That usually works, but Hami has been known to spawn after only a few DE's are killed. Well, I'll be on a tank, so I guess I'll bring my own.
Has Exalted settled on a preferred strategy?
The strategy I'm most familiar with:
6 tanks (on same team, along with a couple of support toons) stand around Hami's perimeter outside of aggro range and choose a Yellow Mito to taunt.
When the signal is given, these six move into range and begin taunting their assigned Yellow. Simultaneously, a stoner (usually with a pocket Emp) moves into the goo and begins taunting Hami.
Once all tanks have secured aggro, meleers move in and start taking down Yellows, one at a time. And rangers start taking down Blues, one at a time.
When a Yellow is killed, it's associated tank begins taunting the nearest Blue.
When all of the Yellow and Blues are killed, Controllers (and other hold specialists) begin stacking holds on one Green at a time, while everyone else kills the Green.
Once all the Greens are down, everyone dogpiles on Hami until told to gtfo by Raid Leader who is monitoring Hami's HP's. 75% of the raiders ignore the Raid Leader and are killed when the Mitos bloom.
Lather, rinse, repeat. -

I have no intention of filling every incarnate slot on every toon, but I would like to at least fill each of my 50s' Alpha slot, at least to Tier 3 to get the Level Shift since that is at least useful outside of iTrials.
So if you were going to fill one and only one Alpha slot on a WP/EneMelee, which way would you go? I think Spiritual Core but not sure.
Since the toon is no where near softcap, I'm also considering Nerve. Willpower and Energy Mastery means Cardiac isn't really necessary. And Musculature only helps one thing (damage), so not sure that's critical either.
Here's some of the toon's numbers. (With all toggles on, but SoW off)
S/L Def: 33.06%
F/C Def: 37.4%
E/N Def: 38.02%
Psi Def: 34.64%
S/L Res: 65.56%
F/C Res: 16.61%
E/N Res: 11.57%
Psi Res: 40.36%
Tox Res: 21.57%
2925.89 HP's
1.94%/sec Regen rate (56.71 HP/sec)
3.97%/sec Recov rate (4.44 End/sec)
1.38%/sec End consumption (1.54 End/sec)
1.66x Accuracy bonus
4% Damage bonus -

Quote:...and since Respec Trials were actually failable back then, sometimes you were better off just deleting and rerolling. Nowadays, most people's build strategy includes at least one respec.Ahhhh .. back before vet rewards when the only way to respec your character if you messed up was to wait till level 24 and go run a respec trial.
I just got City Traveler last June. Ever since they announced that the 5 year Vet Reward was City Traveler, I eagerly counted down the months to June 2011 so I would never have to take Hover/Air Superiority and never have to run another Atlas Bank mish for the Raptor Pack.
All that eager anticipation was for naught, b/c just a few short months after that, EVERYBODY could fly at Level 4, get an O-portal at level 14, and teleport to contact.
I also lament the fact that the Paragon Taxi Service (aka Taxibots) is no longer needed as much. I spent most of my first month or two playing in the Hollows (long before the revamp), and every time I exited a mission, I knew I could yell "Taxi!" and someone would be there to get me safely to my next destination. -
The only time I've ever been able to solo an AV without pets is to get the mish, then leave and gain at least two levels, then go back and finish.
Never even considered using Temp Power attacks. I did not know they did that much damage. And I thought they were like Sands of Mu in that they would not be buffed by Rage or Call to Justice.
Is Envenomed Dagger at all helpful? Or is it too little -regen? -
TELEPORT to contact?
Really?
Why can't the freems just - idunno - RUN to the contact like I useta do? Thru the snow. Uphill, both ways. In 98 degree weather. From a mission door in a green line only zone. And the contact in a yellow line only zone. -
Tuesday Nov 1st at 10 pm Eastern, Rule of Three (aka Posi TF, Pt 1); Level 10+, 3 to start, 11 merits.
Followed by Dam Hero (aka Posi TF, Pt 2); Level 11+, 3 to start, 15 merits
If you'd like to reserve a spot, please leave your global, toon name and AT.
1. @GATE-keeper: Olivia Neutron-Bomb (Totally Rad/Totally Mental Blaster)
2. @.sketch: Lutari (Archery/Time Corruptor)
3. @AngelicaVenger: Jamie (StJ/WP Brute)
4. @Asgardian Blade: Fortune's Widow (Fortunata SoA) or Jaden Maldoran (SJ/EleA Scrapper)
5. @Saint Jon: Samantha Swiftbow (Archery/TA Corruptor) or Lightning Lizzie (Electric/Kin Controller)
6. @Doctor_A_Science: Fallen Angel Warrior (Stone/DB Tank)
Since the purpose of doing these is to help each other level alts, we're going after xp, so we won't typically speed or stealth thru the mishes. We won't treat every mish as a Kill All, but we will kill it if it's in our way. -

Thx. Now I'll have that theme song stuck in my head all day.

Quote:iirc, it makes the "destructible object" sound instead. What I noticed was this glowie DOES make noise but it is NOT the traditional noise we normally associate with glowies.
Spoiler:
I've run this one a few times, but only really looked around once. I could swear that one of the customers in the store is also the "bad guy at the end of each arc who looks like Penn of Penn and Teller".
Any one else notice this? -

OK, in the last day or so, someone somewhere on these forums asked a question about bypassing the glowies in the second mission of WWD1. I cannot find the thread the question was in, so I'm answering the question here.
In the second mission of WWD1: No you cannot complete the mission without clicking the glowies (the piles of rocks that help the Pumicites find you). The glowies are listed as objectives in the Nav window. You can bypass the rock piles and run straight to the boss and defeat him, but then you'll have to run back and click the glowies or the mish won't complete. -
Quote:Which is a really dumb change, b/c you can't even do alignment missions until you're level 20, which means a pre-level 20 character only has one reward option now.Quote:If I had to guess this "side-effect" of pre-level 20 characters only having one reward to choose from now was a change to keep the SSAs from being too easily farmed. *shrugs*
NOT once per week per arc. Once per week, period. -

Are the SSA's considered "solo incarnate content"?

What do you recommend as a secondary for Time Manipulation?
I solo alot so a secondary that's capable of taking down hard targets like EB's (and maybe AV's if possible) is preferrable. I understand that both Beam Rifle and Sonic Blast are good for hard targets. Any others?
I don't have enough points for Beam Rifle yet; and, furthermore, I'm planning on making a Beam Rifle/? corruptor. (I want one toon with BR as primary and one toon with Time as primary).
Also, I've already got a Rad/Sonic Defender.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not averse to pairing BR or Sonic with this toon, just trying to see if there are other options.
Is TM (like Rad) so good that ANY blast set could be usable against hard targets? -
Quote:Lol, no, I just pay the same $15 a month you're paying. It's just that, if you can post on the forums, then you obviously can afford the $15 per month. So I picked a price that most of us could probably not afford to pay.And the global economy collapses. Again. And you can no longer afford the $49.99 a month it costs to play this game.

Cue Stick: Similar to Gambler's Cut, except Smashing, not Lethal
Triangle: You place a triangle on the ground and lift it, releasing balls which act just like Caltrops
8-Ball in the Corner Pocket: a long distance Snipe
Break: Targetted AoE
Wut? -
