Stuck in SSD2

Don't read if you don't want to see spoilers...

A few missions in, I was told to go look around in a store without drawing suspicion. So I nosed around near an interesting hallway, but the guards told me I couldn't enter. So I didn't. Then I went up stairs, and some other guards allowed me to go talk to their boss. I had a choice of asking him nicely or getting forceful. Not wanting to arouse suspicion, I asked nicely. I got no answers. So I went back downstairs, turned on my stealth powers, and tried to sneak past the guards. They spotted me, and they all pulled out their guns. I dashed past and explored a bit, but didn't find anything. So I wiped the floor with the guards, but that didn't accomplish anything. And now I'm stuck. The mission hasn't failed, but it doesn't look like it's possible to succeed now either. I can't think of another time in this game when I've had a mission get stuck like this that wasn't a bug.

So is this a bug? Or am I missing a glowie? Or am I screwed?

i believe that in the back room there is a filing cabinet that is a glowie but didn't make noise. (not positive, I've only ran it once)

Depends on which side you are playing, as both sides start that mission similarly, but diverge in what they need to do to move the mission along.

Blueside, you need to go to a filing cabinet that is in a room one the 1st floors, directly below the boss. Clicking on that will allow you to access the back room.

Redside, you need to go past those guards and get to the vault. Break into the vault and take the Rularuu artifact. You can then access the back room.

I find your lack of signature disturbing.

The above is spot on, except the taking of the artifact is a tad unclear. If redside, you get the needed artifact not by a glowie, but just by defeating the critter in the vault.

And nothing bad happens other than a fight if you do trigger the guards.

Thank you everyone. I thought there might be a glowie somewhere, so I went and checked everywhere but I guess I missed it. Thanks!

As I recall, look for a room under the stairs to the second floor area where you trigger the guard fight.

I have a really hard time finding and remember where this thing is and I've done the mission 7 times. Kind of embarassing.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

What I noticed was this glowie DOES make noise but it is NOT the traditional noise we normally associate with glowies.

iirc, it makes the "destructible object" sound instead.

Spoiler:

I've run this one a few times, but only really looked around once. I could swear that one of the customers in the store is also the "bad guy at the end of each arc who looks like Penn of Penn and Teller".

Any one else notice this?

Dangit. Now I've gotta go run it again just to look for him.

Correct.

When you click on the glowie, you are given muliple options to select. I've noticed that other glowies that offer multiple options also make the "destructible object" sound instead of the usual glowie sound. There's a few of them in some of the newer arcs.
