Good luck with that whole jail thing.Shut up you. It had Olivia d'Abo in it, and she was teh hawt... underaged at 15, yes, I admit that, but teh hawt nonetheless.

Quote:Are you saying that Enhancement Converters can be used to convert an ATO to another ATO?This means you can convert a PVP to another PVP, or a VR to another VR, or an ATO to another ATO...
And, if so, can they be used to convert other types of MarketOs?
(I thought that these Converters only worked on IOs, and we've been told that ATOs and other MarketOs are not IOs.) -
Quote:Edit: Disregard my previous statement, found a redname post to the contraryRandom thought/suggestion regarding this: what if every "card" for ATOs also comes with some set number of Enhancement Converters so that a buyer could try to "trade back" what they got once or twice, perhaps? And, of course, if they did get one they wanted, that'd just be a little bit of value added to the pack?

Genetic Freak, before applying the Enh Booster, I would highly reccomend exporting your build into Mids' or some other hero build app and checking to see how far a particular power is into ED territory.
For instance, most people are probably looking to get MOR DAMIGE! and will place the booster into a Dam Enhancer. But most attack powers (if slotted properly) are most likely well into ED territory on damage, that boosting it would be a waste.
(Most of my Boosters are going into Stamina) -

You know those respecs that are given out on new issue releases? Will toons on premium accounts get those?

Quote:Helz wit dat, put Kari into the cannon and "accidently" fire her into my house. If the Mythbusters accidentally shot a cannonball through my house, off my roof, and/or into my minivan, I'd settle the lawsuit for damages, a t-shirt, and a tour of their labs.
If they could sign the cannonball and give it to me also, that would be swell. -

Quote:[For those who didn't click on Supernumiphone's link]The distance (in feet) listed in stealth ratings is how close you have to be for an enemy to see you.
No, the stealth rating of a power is subtracted from a critter's perception; the result is how close you have to be for an enemy to see you.
For instance, most minions have a perception of 45 feet. This means they will notice you if you are 45 feet or closer.
Most Bosses, EBs and AVs have 54 feet of perception. They will notice you if you are 54 feet or closer to them.
The Stealth power (Concealment Pool) grants 35 feet of stealth, this means a normal minion will only notice you if you are (45 - 35 = ) 10 feet or closer to them and Bosses, EBs and AVs will only notice you if you are (54 - 35 = ) 19 feet or closer to them.
If you're using Superspeed with a Stealth IO, this grants (35 + 30 = ) 65 feet of stealth. This means, since your stealth is higher than a normal minion's perception, you are effectively invisible to them at any distance. Same with Bosses, EBs and AVs. -
In the original series, it was established that Time Lords could only regenerate 12 times, giving them 13 iterations. Each actor that played the Doctor is counted as an interation. Matt Smith is the 11th actor to play the Doctor which means that there can only be two more, unless the "12 Regenerations" limit is changed for him somehow.

Well, this will save me a few hours circling the lake in Striga.

Quote:If there's going to be a big-budget Hollywood version of the Doctor, I hope it's a totally separate canon/continuity. Hollywood generally approaches things like this from the point of view of "can this become a franchise."Steven Moffat is unambiguously putting the kibosh on Yates's impromptu announcement of a Hollywood Doctor Who. He recently tweeted, "To clarify: any Doctor Who movie would be made by the BBC team, star the current TV Doctor and certainly NOT be a Hollywood reboot."
He also made a statement to the media, declaring that the programme is "a vitally important BBC brand with a huge international audience" and "not even Hollywood can start from scratch". He further promised, "Whatever happens, the BBC and BBC Worldwide will work together to ensure that we don't just get a movie, we get the movie that everyone wants."
If it's going to be a franchise (7-8 related movies), it won't work if it's inextricably linked to the series for several reasons:
(1) First and foremost, as popular as the series is, the general movie going public has no idea who the Doctor is. Beginning the movie with the assumption that the audience is familar with 50 years of stories is doomed to failure. Yes, Whophiles will probably like and enjoy it, but Hollywood knows better than to spend big budget dollars on a very narrow target audience. See: Serenity, Watchmen, etc.
(2) Hollywood executives aren't gonna pony up the big bucks to bankroll a big budget blockbuster starring a TV star. If the suits are gonna invest millions in the effort, they're gonna want the movie to be carried by an A-list actor/actress who is - rightly or wrongly - viewed as being more likely to provide a profitable return on investment.
(3) A series of 7 or 8 movies could conceivably require multiple actors in the starring role. The TV series is on number 11 now, only got room for two more, then we'll have to break out the hand-wavium. -
Quote:I don't want a stone tank. I don't like the look of stone and given that my char is female I want her to remain looking like a human female not some "poor man's Thing" - so anything that perverts the look (I've a great outfit for her) is a no-no. (Dark Armour is probably out for this reason too but I don't honestly expect anyone to tell me to go for that)
What I use is the SuppressCloseFX and SuppressCloseFXDist slash commands.
First, use
/SuppressCloseFXDist 255
followed by
/SuppressCloseFX 1
These commands will suppress the graphical effects of your powers. The first commands sets the camera distance. As long as the ingame camera is closer than 255 feet, the effects will be suppressed. If you want to turn the graphical effects back on, then use:
/SuppressCloseFX 0
Once this is turned on, then the graphical effects of Stone Armor, Ice, Fire, etc will be invisible and you can see your costume. This also hides power pool effects such as the Balls of Light around you hands from Hasten and the migraine-inducing spikey flashes around your feet from Superspeed.
Two caveats:
These commands will only make these effects invisible to YOU. To other players, your costume will still be obscured by Stone, Ice, Fire, etc.
Also, effects from other players' powers will still be visible to you and may obscure your costume. -

Since the purpose of doing these is to help each other level alts, we're going after xp, so we won't typically speed or stealth thru the mishes. We won't treat every mish as a Kill All, but we will kill it if it's in our way. -
There's one big problem with the "they'll be available on the ingame markets [Wentworth's and Black Market]" explanation:
There are two levels of ATOs: the Good level and the Best level. The difference between a Good level ATO and a Best level ATO is comparable to the difference between an Orange IO and a Purple IO.
The Good level ATOs are going to be available in the Super Packs and will be listable at Wentworths.
There is also something called a Catalyst that is available in the Super Packs. Catalysts will NOT be listable on Wentworths. Using a Catalyst to convert a Good level ATO into a Best level ATO is the ONLY way to get a Best level ATO.
Therefore, you cannot get Best level ATOs thru Wentworths, you can only get them thru Super Packs.
(Also, just for clarification, ATOs are NOT IOs; they are not recipes that you craft into enhancements, they are already formed enhancements.) -
OK, since Johnny's post and DreadShinobi's first post were contradicted by DreadShinobi's second post, I used my second build to test this:
Surprisingly, the second Unstoppable DOES prevent the HP/End crash of the first Unstoppable.
What I expected to happen was to still get the HP/End crash, but to be able to keep the 70% Resistance and the +100% Recovery.
So, if you time it right, you can get 5 mins and 59 seconds of 70% Resistance to all but Psi.
Edit:
OK, apparently, the +70% Resistances do NOT stack. In fact, when I clicked Unstoppable for the second time, all my resistances briefly dropped to base, then jumped back up.
On this build, I've got 10% Res to everything but Psi as a base, with Unstoppable, they all jump to 80%. When I clicked Unstoppable the second time, they all dropped back to 10% for about a second, then jumped back up to 80%. -
Is the following possible?
Hit Unstoppable, then hit Burnout. Then, a few seconds before Unstoppable crashes, hit Unstoppable again.
Is it possible to hit Unstoppable for the second time before the effects of the first one wear off? -
I thought that the official party line was that if you received any reward other than threads, then you did participate fully?
-
Thanks everyone for your responses. I think I'll go with Claws/Fire; as someone mentioned earlier, SS/Fire will probably run into End problems without IO's.
When farming for expeez, is it better to have Bosses on or off? Also, is -1 player level faster xp/min than higher settings?
(I have no intention of using this setup to PL toons from 1-50, I only intend to get a toon up two or three levels. For instance, if I want a toon on my main acct to run a particular WST, but the toon is a few levels too low, then I'll do this.) -
I'll be there.
