Quote:You know it's finally nice that they fixed that Cimerora Bug. I logged in this weekend with a toon that was working on her Cimerora Day Badge just to see what the progress was. Of course she was dead stuck up to her knees in concrete just below that Cimerora Crystal. The funny thing is, when I originally logged her out, she was by the cave entrance not standing by that crystal. So, glad this was finally fixed.

Nope. I don't want to know what happens. I will make an effort not to read this thread until I can finish that story arc which will probably be soon.
I was basically making a comment on the fact I was not aware of there being a "clone" mish. Yes, I do try and read all the boards but sometimes I cannot find the time so a quick post usually does the trick.
-
So I'm in Sharkhead Isle doing these mish'es for Dean MacArthur. I end up doing the "Steal the Jewels and bring out Ajax" mish. Well, as I was in the mish, I saw my other double. They ran out of the mish as I was chasing them..lol. Now I am doing a mish called "Track Down Your Clone".
I can guess this is one of the new story arcs that was added for i17. I have to say seeing my Doppelganer was kind of spooky. So, for those of you who have done this mish, will I eventually have to fight my double? If so, that's going to be weird stuff...but hopefully lots of fun.. -
Quote:LOL!!!. I can imagine what the recipient on the other end might be thinking when they realized someone just bought their cheap Inanimate Carbon Rob for 100 Million in Influence, especially if its someone around a level 10..hehe. It'd be like winning the Lottery. Finally, the persistent last inf bid is dangerous. If you're buying a bunch of stuff, go low to high. Last thing you want to do is bid 100M on a purp recipe, then decide to buy a Inanimate Carbon Rod and forget to reset the price. Wipe the last bid price please, or at least give us the option to.
I would have to agree with you there. If you are not paying attention and are buying large quantities of items, you can screw yourself big-time. I did it just tonight when was buying some cheap brass salvage. I needed only 10 for my Damage Recipe and bought 20 accidentally because for some reason I wasn't paying attention.
There is one thing I do like so far though that has save me a ton of time. Normally before I place an item to sell, I will usually want to see what kind of bids that current item is getting at the market so I kind of know where to set my selling price. With the "find" feature, it immediately takes you to that item without having to search for it again. This is very nice.
I do agree tough, the interface could be a bit smoother. Of course like anything new, there will usually be some bugs until they can hopefully work them out. -
So this past Saturday Morning I decided it was time to start-up a Demon Summoning MM. I went with Dem/TrkArrow. I have to say, after watching others with there Demons running around going rampant, I knew I had to start one up and see what all the fuss was about. So far, I am loving the effects of these guys. Especially when you summon them up from the gates of Hell!..hehe.
Well, as of this morning (Monday) I got her up to level 16 and have the two Demonlings and one Demon. After looking at Paragonwiki, they didn't have the descriptions yet as to what all theses powers do. I already have a level 50 MM Bots/Traps. It seems the set-up here is almost the same for a total of 5 pets? I put a question mark there because based on what the icons describe, it shows "Hell on Earth" with 4 pets on the button. I am not sure what "Hell on Earth" does? Not sure if this is an added power to the Demons or a separate group of small pets?
If anyone has the breakdown on what all these powers do, it would be nice to have until wiki can update their end. -
Well it seems the Global "is" down. I tried this morning to transfer some influence and Jetpack and everything was lost in the transfer.
Luckily not more than 5 million and not 100 million or more.
.
With that being said, when and if this comes back up again, when transferring items such as a Jetpack, do you just drag that item into the "attachment" box you see on the email I screen captured? I ask as when I tried to do this, nothing happened and the item didn't want to go into the box. I'm thinking it's because the system is down so it's not taking right?
-
Figured it out. I signed in with my Hero toon and just "re-accepted" the influence back to them. Then, I deleted the email. Got my influence back like nothing happened. With that being said, does anyone know when GR goes live if we will have the ability to trans from Hero to Villain or is that only a dream?
-
Now, i just got to figure out how to get that influence back to my original toon..lol. Being that my Villain is only level 2 they can't send emails yet. I tried to delete it but it wouldn't let me. Any suggestions?
-
Got it to work. Ahem,...the only boo boo I did was trying to transfer to my other toon which is a Villain. Hero to Villain don't mix...lol. So it was a good try while it lasted.
-
Thanks guys, we will work this to hopefully make it work.
-
Like I said, I have never used global email before. You mentioned "in box" where do I find this so called in box?
-
Okay. Pretend you are talking to a small infant who has never used the global email before. I need to know exactly what attachment I need to hook to my toons name. For example: Superman@global.com or Wonderwoman@global.com,...I ask as just typing my toons name in this field with the arrow pointing does nothing. I know, I know, you are probably laughing right now thinking this person has no idea how to send emails. Well to be honest, I disabled all my in game email because of all junk emails i kept getting. But now, with this new i17 ability to transfer to your other toons on your same account, I am now able to have an excuse to use email again...lol.
So, pretend I am a baby and you need to walk me through this. Thanks.
-
The next question is being that I have never used the in game email to transfer anything between toons, how do I know what my toons email address is? Is it "toon name" and something else" that I need to type in? I ask as I tried to send an email transfer and nothing happened so I think I was doing it wrong?
-
Quick question. It seems that you need to be level 10 before you can send emails. Does this also apply when "receiving" emails should one want to transfer influence to another toon? If it does, then I guess we would have to wait until level 10 to do any transfers?
And speaking of email transfers of influence, being that I have not done this yet between toons, I can venture to guess it is somewhat easy to do? I can also hope there are not any glitches with this like Wentworths being shut down for their issues? -
Quote:Thanks for that. That is exactly what I needed to know. The markets are down until further notice (we can probably expect it to be down for at least the weekend), while they are working on a problem with it.
You should expect that your items will still be available when the markets return. -
So, the past two days Wentworths is down, all my toons inventory that was to be sold is gone. I thought I read something about them working on this. The thing that's got me spooked and somewhat worried is I had some toons with some very rare enhancements for sale. Now, all gone.
Does anyone know what the exact wording was for this fix and do we expect to get our salvage and enhancements back that were on the market if and when this is fixed? -
Before I log on,.currently 8:30PM PST, just want to get a confirm on this. I know its been down so not sure when it will be back up. So, anyone out there who was just on can give an update?

I posted something in player questions when GR went live April 28th. Prior to i17 I noted a similar problem in the Midnighters Club Crystal while exiting Cimerora. You would be stuck inside the crystal for about a 30 sec to a minute and had to wiggle to get free. Typing /stuck really didn't help.
On Wednesday, April 28th, I was invited to a mish in Cimerora. As I entered the crystal, I was immediately stuck in the crystal at Cimerora and was buried in the ground up to my knees. Again, typing /stuck didn't work. Others were also getting stuck here like a Venus Fly Trap..hehe. Anyways people said to keep moving to get free. Well after about 5 minutes of wiggling around, I finally got loose.
I would hope they fix this soon. In the known issues I did not see this as a note so hopefully the dev's will peruse these forums and get this fixed soon. -
Quote:It actually seemed worse on the Cimerora Side. Like you, I typed /stuck several times as my teammates and others stood around rooting me on..hehe. I couldn't move as my legs were embedded in the ground. The funny thing was as others came into the zone, they also were getting stuck. It was a like a Venus Fly trap..hehe. As I mentioned earlier, it took me about five plus minutes to eventually break free. Now, I am a little gun shy in going back to Cimerora until they can get that fixed. Maybe they could add a temporarily Ouroboros teleport into there until they can fix it?I had the same problem, both traveling into Cimerora and traveling back to the Midnighters Club. /stuck did not get me free in either case. (not the first time /stuck hasn't worked for me). Fotunately I was able to teleport away with a black market teleporter.

Quote:So let me see if I understand, you say that when you do missions, fly around the zones and such that this has nothing to do with my frame rates and graphics?!? If you're talking about running Hami Raids or RWZ Raids, heck my, if not everyone else's, computer will take some lag there. No, I may not be running on a George Lucas Dreamworks Computer but all I can tell you is the facts and the facts are that my frame rate is a smooth as it can be. No jittery freezes and such. In fact, the battle I did last night with a team in Cimerora was against full groups in the caves and I had no problems.Missions do not utilize most of Ultra Mode's graphics options, so that's no way to test it.
So, I am not sure what scenarios you are wanting to place me in to really test my graphics card and my computer to see what it can do? As I mentioned, Hami Raids and RWZ Raids don't count as I already know frame rate is more jittery in those types of "action" very large group raids. -
Quote:Ahem,......you know for a five year old computer, I was pleasantly surprised to see it run Ultra at "full" that's right full capacity. All tabs and graphics maxed out. I did a couple of mish'es with teams with my lvl 40 Dual/Elec Blaster, checked out a few "populated" zones and also ran my level 50 MM Bots/Traps at +0/+8 on solo mish'es with no problem what-so-ever. Not sure why I was even worried? To be honest, the environment and things do look much crisper and sharp but nothing to really make me fall out of my chair..hehe.You might be able to turn a couple Ultra Mode options on to low/medium. If you turn everything up to medium/high/max, your computer will probably attempt to barf the game out the CD slot. That thing is ollllllld.
.
The only issue I ran into (and this was a problem "before" i17) but seemed to get progressively worse after i17 download, was getting stuck in the Cimerora Crystal with my toons feet sunk into the floor below the crystal. It wasn't just me but my other teammates were also getting stuck. It took me about a good 5 minutes of wiggling to pry myself from that crystal. So anyone venturing to Cimerora take note of that crystal and the possibility of getting stuck in it.
So, maybe I need to send the folks at Nvidia a fruit basket or something...hehe. I feel much more confident now with this graphics card more than ever -
So, I'm at work and didn't have the opportunity to turn on my computer at home and get the new issue i17 uploaded. Based on what I read, I really don't think i will encounter any issues with the graphics being that right now I have my graphics on CoX maxed out without any issues. The only thing I am somewhat concerned with is from what I have been reading about what is the best Graphics Card for Ultra Mode. This is what I am currently running:
Gateway Computer, approx 5 years old, Model GX7018E.
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 630 w/Hyper-Threading Technology
Chipset: Intel 915G
Memory: I upgraded to 3GB of RAM as I am running Windows XP and the max is 3GB of RAM for this.
Video Graphics: Upgraded to Nvida GeForce 9600GT 512MB OC Graphics Card
Hard Drive: 250 GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA hard drive
There you have it! I guess I will find out tonight when I log in. Hopefully all will go well. Any additional thoughts out there would be welcome. -
So, last night I got the final broadcast to meet at Pocket D for Title giveaways. After waiting for about 1/2 hour, unfortunately, I had to leave. When I came back 45 min later, Chaz from Admin was gone.
Normally, I would have gotten in earlier but due to work and getting home to eat dinner then logging in, I barely had enough time to get to Pocket D. So, does anyone know if more titles will be handed out or did I unfortunately miss the boat and need to wait another year for "Happy 7th Anniversary City of Heros" to be labeled over my toons head? -
I read this on paragonwiki that Free Respecs when given are not stackable and only 1 is allowed per toon. I ask this as I read somewhere when GR goes live that if we have a free respec that we never used prior, we will lose it if we don't use it "before" i17 goes live and the new free respec is given.
Why not make "all" respecs stackable regardless of where they come from? That way, for those who have not used their free respecs yet, why be punished by not letting them keep it? Think about it, we pay a monthly fee to maintain our accounts. For you long-time vets out there, there is something called loyalty to the game and players should be rewarded for this. So, any free respecs given either for patches or new issues, we should be allowed to keep and stack for our loyalty. What do you guys think?
