Cimerora Entrance Bugged

Posted

The entrance to Cimerora is severely bugged.

Upon entering the zone, there is a high probability of ending up stuck underneath the crystal and partially in the ground. /stuck does not free you and neither does logging out and back in.

Exiting from Cimerora also has a probability of a similar but slightly less severe version of the bug. You end up stuck under the crystal, but turning in random directions while running will eventually free you.

I experienced this entering Cimerora, but was able to jump out of the ground.

I posted something in player questions when GR went live April 28th. Prior to i17 I noted a similar problem in the Midnighters Club Crystal while exiting Cimerora. You would be stuck inside the crystal for about a 30 sec to a minute and had to wiggle to get free. Typing /stuck really didn't help.

On Wednesday, April 28th, I was invited to a mish in Cimerora. As I entered the crystal, I was immediately stuck in the crystal at Cimerora and was buried in the ground up to my knees. Again, typing /stuck didn't work. Others were also getting stuck here like a Venus Fly Trap..hehe. Anyways people said to keep moving to get free. Well after about 5 minutes of wiggling around, I finally got loose.

I would hope they fix this soon. In the known issues I did not see this as a note so hopefully the dev's will peruse these forums and get this fixed soon.

Doing it to me right now. Can't jump or fly out, and even logging doesn't work. Only way to get unstuck is to pillar back to midnighters...

EDIT: jumping backwards works

I couldn't escape by jumping backward either. Perhaps it has something to do with the size of the character model. Or perhaps it is random. I couldn't even teleport out on my Warshade with Shadowstep. Kept getting that red reticle that shows that I can't port to where I wanted to.

Self Destruct worked though, as did getting someone else to port me out.

Happened to me too. I /bug'd in game; hope they get it.

You mean I17.

Okay, maybe it was wishful thinking on my part but hey, it would have been nice right?...:
I did mean i17 as we know GR not going live for a bit, I think I heard sometime this summer?

If you're level 50, you shouldn't be using the Midnight Club to get to Cimerora unless you happen to be standing outside a university.

1. Go to Ouroboros or a Flashback Crystal in your base.

2. Chose the Daedalus or Airlia arc and teleport to contact.

3. Drop arc.

And who leaves Cimerora by way of the cave? Use the Ouroboros Portal, it's why God gave it to us!

just noticed this today and sent an in-game report too. So far I'm stuck every time I try to zone in

I have gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, Keep me here!

This has also happened to me but oddly enough only on my Scrapper who's on Justice. Though usually I can just jump out of the ground.

Don't forget, there are some people that don't have bases, and some bases that don't have Flashback Crystals. Even more, there are some people that don't have Ouroboros access. I don't think asking for the bug to be fixed when entering this zone is unreasonable. What I do think to be unreasonable is someone telling another player how they should be getting around.

Bottom line, this needs to be fixed.

Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

You make assumptions, then leap to conclusions & offer "advise" in a condescending tone.

Zombie's previous post started that way. Magikwand quoted him with reasons why it's wrong, so Zombie was simply stating the condition he gave was specifically listed for level 50. Obviously it was not intended to be universal advice for all levels, so the counter-argument didn't make sense. I agree with him that at lvl 50, there is no excuse to not have an Ouro portal, in which case you would certainly have access to that method.

On a side note, I frequently head to Cimerora while already on a team, so the Ouro trick wouldn't always work in my case. On a couple toons, I do have one of the actual missions saved so I can use Mission Transporter to get there without even zoning to Ouro first. It doesn't take long to get near a university and go through Midnighter's anyway, and if you get stuck in the ground, it only takes a friendly TP to get you to where you belong.

In any case, I agree with magikwand's last statement and with everybody else... it still needs to be fixed.

Starting his post with the phrase "If you're level 50.. " displayed assumption and conclusion all at once.

Zombie's post came off as dismissive of those who are having problems, assumptive of what level toons they were on (which doesn't change the fact that there IS a bug), and did not address the bug itself nor offer a solution to those affected by it.

So, while his "advise" may have been correct, it was hardly helpful.

I just hope this bug gets fixed, and that I don't get bit by it on one of my lower level toons starting the Cim. arc. I'd hate to ask for help, just to find the kind of advise that Zombie just gave.

I didn't see it that way at all. I saw him as providing a workaround for those who can utilize it. There is nothing WE can do to fix the bug, but we can inform others about what to possibly do until it is fixed. I agree with him that any lvl 50 heading to Cimerora should use other means to get there until it is fixed, and he gave a good suggestion. Even a non lvl-50 who has the Mission Transport power has a way to get there if they get a first mission from Daedalus or Sister Airlia and save it until the door is fixed.

I'll agree that it's not ideal and it doesn't fix the problem, but it's the only thing we, as players, can do right now.

AUUUGH!

Well, I was only getting him into Cim for the dayjob badge...

Bugged it all the same.

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

It could be that only level 50's can use the work-around to avoid the bug because only level 50's can pick up the arcs at an O-crystal because the arcs go all the way up to 50. And *if* you're level 50, using the crystal in a base or in O-zone (and who is really going to make the argument that presuming a level 50 shouldn't already have an O-portal is a presumptuous 'assumption and conclusion'?) is almost always the fastest way to get to Cim anyway, and thus, should be recommended to do all times as a 'best practice' to save time in traveling which seems to be what almost everyone likes to do in this game anyway.

There was nothing in what I said which was insulting... unless you wanted to read into what I said with the worst possible assumption and conclusion all at once... an assumption and conclusion not supported by anything I wrote.

I got stuck under the crystal today too, but activated my hover power and was able to "pop" out.

Alternate escape from being wedged under the Pillar: sit down, then try to move while seated.

I've also had less severe incidences of the situation, both in the Midnighter's Club, and on Ouroboros, when exiting the initial mission arc missions. In those cases, I poppd out after a few moments of maneuvering. My assumption is that the cave in Cimeroa has multiple layers to the floor, giving us someplace "legitimate" to stand lower than the official floor level.

Just as a note, a fix for this very problem is on the Test Server.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
