After a failed scrapper, controller, and defender I've finally found true love with my Fire/NRG. Aim > build up > fire ball > fire breath > blaze. All dead.

So why not Power boost (to double the effectiveness of the buffs) + aim + build up + Fireball + Fire Brea... = oH wait, they're all already dead!

Well, unless your set on ice, how about taking fire/NRG. Sure, there is no secondary effect to boost with powerboost, but it can still boost your appraoch speed with the Godly Hover. LEt me explain what I mean:

*/energy sets hit hard. SO the best bet is to stalkk, but being a blaster, you have more tircks up your sleeve than they do. With Rogue, my strategy is to hover above the enmy, invisible, pick a target, hit powerboost, hover in, hit aim + BU and toggle drop then freeze the opponent is they are a toughie. The element of surprise works great in PvP for blasters.

FIre/NRG could work similar but due to the higher damage and the snipe it,s an even better squishie kiler. Without freezeray you may want to take stun for the toughies, but the high damage you can dish out will make it a brilliant, quick killing PvP build. Different to. You don't see many around. Combine it with elec anchillary and you have one uber combo.

I've never been sure about ice/elec due to their effects really not complementing each other; how can the relatively small ammount of end drain you'll do compared to elec/elec or elec/NRG have much effect when the mobs that you arre attacking use abilities at a slowerat a slower rate, You'd be much better improving the effects with NRG or the directly complentry power sets.

Just my thoughts.

How about a ranged nuke with no drain, no -recovery, no disorient, but only available when under 25% health with some insanely long apporiate recharge time. I would say they'd get ability the ability to use there nuke with no peanlties, but not everyone takes there nuke, particulary ice players. THe nuke would have to have an appropriate effect for the powerset so would take work to implement, but would look down cool, fit a blasters roll of ranged damage dealer and also be damn strong.

I think a blasters inherent power has to have some elemnt of penalty, unlike the other ATs, because it would be very difficult to stop them being uber otherwise, due to their role as a primarily long range burst dammage dealer.

Big deal, dude. Rockjaw JOINED our team! And put up with my tech retardedness whilst I tried to get Teamspeak working for an hour! But in the end, it was totally playable and I had a reallly good time, which prooved how uber my PvP build is. Special thanks to Del and Rock Eagle for chatting as much as me so that I didn't feel odd Twoz good fun and looking foward to do doing it again.

Ok, a PvP based question.

I have recently started a fire/dark build as I reckon due to the high damage, the capability to snipe and the potent debuffs will make it a very potent PvP build. What I'd like to know is, can Shadow fall and Super speed provide an effect that's close to invisibility, or is it still kinda worth taking seeing as stealth won't stack with Shadow fall.

And that Fluffy de-buff extravaganza tip is brilliant! I'll have to try that!

Seriously, I feel I can do anything with my Dark/Thermal, particulary in the later levels. With the right enhancements (Dark pit is horribly inaccurate for example), by level 40, I'll be able to Nulify threats to my teamates with high single target damage, Protect with shields, Clear control effects, Control myself, Give more damage mitigation with accuracy reducing attacks, Croud control wtih AoE attacks, Buff my allies and debuff the enenmy. ABout the only I can't do is summon a pet! Or use melee attacks, but if I six slot brawl...

I'm just saying I love this build so much and feel it is a perfect PvE team addition and could be a useful protecter in PvP. He's awesome fun to play to, because I feel So useful. Anyone feel they can match this?
