Yeah, I really can't imagine any scenario where I would ever use this.

I still can't get the hang of controlling my character on the ski slopes and gave up pretty quickly. Again. I try every year. Too much work for too little payout. If it was at least fun I'd do it anyway. But, it's not. It's frustrating. The only character I have that cared about any of the badge titles or costume options is Frosty Femme and she already has the stuff she cares about. The rest of it remains...meh.

Quote:Yeah, I mentioned both Vanguard and Steampunk. I don't have access to Celestial stuff yet. I'm only on Tier 8 right now. But, that kind of reinforces my point. MMs only have 3 default weapons while all the other weapon sets get at least a few more than that, including Beam Rifle. Which makes no sense at all. If they aren't going to give Bots the same choices as Beam Rifle then they need to take away the legacy pulse rifle, the tintable pulse rifle and the alien bladder techno bagpipes. Which I've never seen anyone, anywhere, use. Ever. Because they are ridiculously hideous. It doesn't even look like a gun! I think the artist lost a bet or something. It's the only possible explanation.Pulse Rifle has a few weapons now. It has the Original weapon in tintable and non-tintable format, the techno bagpipes, plus the weapons from the various packs - Steampunk, Celestial and Vanguard. That's not too shabby, until you remember that Beam Rifle has probably as many more, and there isn't a meaningful argument that I can think of for why these weapons aren't available between the powersets. I would be perfectly happy if I had to buy Beam Rifle for this. I'd buy the set in a heartbeat if I could use its weapons, but no. That can't happen. Because because.

Quote:Thanks!A bird on a truck in Pocket D that you can talk to in order to opt out of various power effects (such as the movement buff of Speed Boost) or set yourself to automatically accept/decline that annoying Fortune Teller buff.
And yes to what Doc Roswell just said. I had no idea this was a thing. -
This has been my single biggest gripe with this game ever since weapon/power customization came out in the first place. I keep seeing new pistols added. New rifles added. New swords and axes and maces added. Hell, Archery has more options. But, the only options for a Bots MM was the incredibly ugly legacy pulse rifle, a tintable version of the incredibly ugly pulse rifle and something that can really only be described as some sort of alien bladder gun. The only other weapons available at all were Vanguard weapons that had to be unlocked through Vanguard Merits. Now we have that rifle thing from the Steampunk pack. Which is great, but had to be purchased. All two of the default options are still lame.

I've always found it easier to fit powers to a concept rather than try to shape a concept around powers. That said, my one and only 50 is a Bots/Traps MM that I shaped a concept around. So, it's not exactly foolproof. What's really funny for me is how few of my concepts actually make it into the game intact. I'm currently playing a Fire/Fire Brute named Dragonflame who is a dragon girl who uses the insect wings. What's amusing to me about this is that in my head she was an Asian Fire/Fire Blaster named Firefly. The only thing that survived from my imagination through the character creator was the Martial Arts robe she's wearing and the insect wings.

I have so many alts I honestly don't know who, or where, most of them are. The vast majority of them never make it past level 10, and vast majority of those never really make it much past level 6. I get character concepts and I just have to roll them and I always have every intention of playing them, but never actually do. I never delete them though, because I love the concepts and stories they potentially represent. I've been playing off and on now since about a month after the initial release of the game and I only have one level 50 character. The next closest is 32 and is the very first character I ever rolled up on a live server and is my forum namesake. At this point I mostly just log her in to keep her up to date on all the nifty newness and to make costume adjustments.

Even little kids can see the gender bias at toy stores.

The only problem I can foresee is the epicness of a werewolf in a top hat. I cannot help but feel that anytime that character enters a mission all the bad guys would just surrender.

I see we have a thread just chalk full of rouge scholars.

I actually had this happen in the last mission of Who Will Die 4. Luckily, one of my Battle Drones managed to accidentally die somehow (I'm assuming there was some AOE going on) and I was able to resummon and have one pet for that mission. I didn't know I could die and reset them, or I would have done so. I thought I'd have to log out to correct it. Still won though, even with just one of my tier 1 henchmen.

He definitely went hostile on Blueside against my Bots/Traps MM. After a really long dialogue and some wave attacks leading up to it first of course. Which gave me plenty of time stack some trip mines at his feet. He went hostile, activated my trip mines, went kablooey and then surrendered. I didn't even get a chance to fight Hardcase. I was actually a little disappointed to realize I had accidentally bypassed the entire encounter.

Pretty much just story arcs from contacts. If I run out of contacts I'll run some radio/newspaper missions to get a safeguard/mayhem. If a safeguard, I'll start it and then go make a sandwich and wait for time to run out so I can get a new contact. If a mayhem I'll actually run it. But, it's mostly just for the contact. I've never done a trial. I think I may have accidentally joined a task force once, but I corrected that pretty quickly.

If I remember correctly another MMO tried this and it didn't work out very well. Most of the player base still felt they weren't properly represented and representatives pushed their own agendas. In my opinion this is a terrible idea.

Wonder Woman themed stripper. They told the PG version of the story to the press.

Oh, man...my redcoated tory character, American Loyalist, absolutely NEEDS this hat. I've got him in a tall military cap for now to try simulating a dragoon's hat, but this would be SOOOO much better.

I'm still maintaining that this all a set-up by the Devs and it'll be War Witch. You watch. You'll see I'm right. War Witch. I'm calling it.

He's doing it right.

I think there's actually a certain amount of logic to this, although there's certainly a fair amount of hand waving, too. They had just finished driving along that road and didn't see any horde of zombies just strolling along. They had no real reason to watch their back trail. A herd of zombies like that was outside their experience and was totally unexpected. They were watching the sides of the road and snarl of vehicles ahead of them because in their experience that was where the greatest danger was. They had no idea a herd would, or even could, form behind them.
