I have a few wishes myself for 2010.
First off that my work situation is finally resolved. I'm unhappy where I'm working now (and underpaid to boot) and I really want to find a way to escape that such that I will be happy and can start developing a stable financial footing with with to stand on.
I also wish that my experimentations with graphic design continue and I can make something out of what is currently a hobby that I enjoy doing. (Maybe related to number 1 eh? Who knows).
I've been stuck in a rut for a while and I want to improve myself and get out of it.
I also wish success and happiness for all of my friends, both those I know in person and those I know over the intertubes. -
Reason #1) Because the costume options for females are waaaaaay more interesting than males.
Reason #2) Butt stare factor
NEW! Reason #3) Swishy walk power. -
Thanks. I'm glad you guys are liking the website. There's some bits and bobbles that won't show up until people start submitting stuff. So get to work!
And a shout out to Swanzy is necessary here, as he came up with the idea for the logo. -

How's 2010 looking? Any better than 2009?
Seriously, regardless of your time zone, I want to second Eddy in wishing everyone a safe, happy and healthy new year. -
Yeah. That was an amazingly fun team tonight. And I got Frost Magus (virtue edition) from 1 to almost 17. In one night! Crazy!
I hate to sound like I'm all about the XP but...man, that was amazing. -
Hopefully today. Work might intervene...But it *should* be done tomorrow if I end up having to get called in from my vacation...
"I'm not even supposed to be here today..." -
Latency in this game isn't a huge deal either (unless it's something outrageous). The bigger issue is connection quality and dropped packets.

Mantid, as far as I know, has left the game. I presume he took down his website at some point as well.

I'd say the reason why this hasn't happened is because it really blurs the uniqueness of the traditional Pet ATs. And that even though it would be a tremendous help for the soloing support AT's, it doesn't necessarily mean that they should get that help.
Also, this is more suited to the suggestions forum, I believe. -
Yay! I was doing family stuff pretty much all day today and knowing Wassy was working on this piece was making the time pass very slowly.
I finally came home in the evening and saw it in person and...she's awesome. One of my favorite gifts. She's even better looking in person (as these things usually go). It's a perfect feel for Frost. I especially love her facial expression.
And yet again, you've constructed costume elements I want to be able to use with her in-game. The existing winter boots/gloves aren't cutting it. -
Quote:Woohoo! That's just the bugfix I was waiting for. I know what I'm shopping for tonight...Yes, Contagious Confusion does not affact pets any more.
That proc seemed to me to double the effectiveness of AA. Maybe that's because the Confuse visual effect in AA is finally showing up, but it seems to me that there are a LOT more confused baddies. The Proc lasts for about 10 seconds, while the confuse from AA lasts less than 4 seconds . ... less than 8 seconds fully slotted. So the proc actually provides longer confuse than the power. And the proc hits a group 1/3 of the time every 10 seconds. It is simply WOW.
I knew the proc was awesome, but I was hesitant to slot it because I prefer not to get whacked down by my own pets.
I also noticed they added the confuse graphic to AA since I left, which is quite nice as well.
Anyway...back to the thread. -
Probably not the most knowledgeable person to answer this question (We're on the fuzzy outskirts of what I've researched), but it seems like Photoshop does a good job with the conversion between the two color systems.
The thing to be careful with is that there's some RGB colors that can't be represented in CMYK, so whatever's doing the conversion picks something that's pretty close but not exact. That kind of thing might need some tweaking or it might not even be noticeable.
It might be something to talk over with the particular printer you're using to see what they recommend and what works best with their specific equipment. -
Referencing Arctic Air:
Quote:I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I've been out of the game for a bit. Did this ever get fixed in regards to Jack Frost getting affected when the proc fires off when he's in melee range? The Contagious Confusion proc improves the power substantially. -

Quote:Yeah, this is what I do. I don't have the exact numbers here but it does work out that, on average, the +end Proc is more effective than an end mod IO. It also has the bonus of working through power effects that prevent endurance recovery, like sapper's powers and such. It can come in real handy when it happens to hit in those situations.I've always been told that 2 50 IOs and the +End proc are a bit better than 3 level 50 End IOs. Or with 4 slots, 3 End IOs and the +End proc; the advantage of the +end proc is that ED doesn't affect it.
I usually plan for 1 Performance Shifter proc and 2 end mod IOs -

Tray 4 wraps around my inspiration tray and contains all of my various teleportation powers (O-portal, Pocket D portal, assemble the team, etc) along with the icons for my travel powers (including sprint)
Tray 5 runs along the right hand edge of the screen and tends to have toggle powers in it, like armors and Arctic Air. Also has summonable pets, including vet reward pets. -
I'm trying to come up with a hero to create. I tried a bit last night but got hung up on a costume. Dah.

From what I've gathered, some folks tend to work in RGB with photoshop and then, if they're looking towards actual printing of the piece, convert it over to CMYK at a certain point to finish it out. Depends a lot on what they're doing with it though.
Photoshop has more options for adjustment when dealing with RGB colors, if I recall.
EDIT: Oh, you get more accurate colors (when working) on the screen if you're working in RGB, for sure. (further editing to clarify that printing is another story) -
Assuming the button placement on the other tablet pens are similar to the Bamboo (I think they are) I totally agree with this. Using the button on the stylus to right click is an...awkward hand position. Wish it was a bit lower

Quote:Yeah, but this one will probably involve having to sign an NDA in order to go on (like CoV), so...yeah, Make sure your PlayNC account's e-mail address is up to date if you're expecting a beta invite. That e-mail is important. It also seems like the sort of thing they'll explain and elaborate on here on the forums. It's not NDA material, and just knowing how to connect won't allow you to connect unless you're actually in the beta. So even if you don't get the email, there should be another explanation somewhere, when the time comes.

I'm ok with not using voice chat all the time too. It's not necessary. I do prefer it when I'm just hanging around with folks as much as playing (easier to just discuss stuff). But it's not a requirement for me to team.

Me either, that was the fastest I've ever gotten to 12 on a villain.
Forgot what it was like being poor though. Couldn't scrape enough together to load out with DOs
