They could always set up Cole to be the new Statesman. Statesman's death could have a positive impact on Cole, putting him in a position to take on more of the Well's power to face the Coming Storm (with help from us, of course).

Quote:I'm sure that they could work in an alien and/or 2012 angle in there somewhere...The Current War - I can't see this ever being made into a feature film, but I would totally watch this as a documentary or miniseries on the History Channel (if the History Channel still ran programming that had anything to do with history).
EDIT: On topic:
Maggie - OK, maybe it's just me, but on the Walking Dead the survivors encounter a farm, where there's an elderly man with a daughter named Maggie. Coincidence?
The End - Wasn't there a similar movie in the past 10 years, set somewhere in Canada? I recall a movie where people are interacting before a global disaster occurred...
Chewie - This could go either way. It could be really interesting/funny, or it could be very creepy. Guess time will tell...
Imitation Game - I wrote a research paper on the code-breakers and code-talkers in WW2, so, while it'd be interesting to me, I'm not sure how well this would go over with the general populace.
The Current War - Similar to above. Just don't see it being even a moderate success; it'd be better as a documentary series. -
I've kept with the show, longer than I really wanted to. It has some potential, but it really doesn't seem to be interested in developing that potential; it seems to be wanting to be melodramatic instead.
Melodrama is fine, but it seems a waste to have such a huge budget for special effects to develop melodrama. It's almost like they throw a little bit of dinosaur in each episode to remind us: Oh yeah, we're in the past. Right. Dinosaurs and the like. Good thing that brachiosaurus stuck their head up last issue; thought we were just out in the jungle somewhere.
It's kinda sad that a sci-fi show got approval for such a huge budget, and will end up failing. Just gives the networks more ammo in their "no-big-budget sci-fi shows"... -

BaB seems too obvious a choice; I'd hope that the devs/writers would be a little more subtle than that. "Let's kill the homeless guy!" OK, doesn't sound so great now, huh?
And, just because phasing is currently only in Atlas, doesn't mean that other zones could be updated to include phasing. If one of the others died, it could use phasing to replace that character with BaB as the TF contact. -
Quote:"Yeah, it is, I was talking to my cous.... Lord Nemesis is watching you, Staff Sgt Frost.... sin about it last week"Freaked me out.
First time I ran it was on my tank, Staff Sgt Frost, whose bio says his real name is Daniel.
It was funny, as I was running that for the first time last night on a villain, who happens to be a robot. I was a bit startled to find myself human all of a sudden. -
I had to laugh when I saw this:
My Little Pony - Star Wars ending
My daughter had seen Star Wars, but didn't remember it that well, so we had to go back and watch the ending so she saw the similarities. -

I have a 7 year old daughter, so I started watching MLP with her. It's cute, has a good message, so I can appreciate it. The fact that it has inside jokes as well makes it enjoyable.
While 4chan may have run it into the ground, and made some weird and/or crude pics of it, doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the show. The fact that it is somewhat popular right now, means I can post pics of it and not look like too big of a pervert. -
I always liked the idea of the Shadow Shard being a manifestation of Rularuu's mind vs. anything that was created by the Midnight Squad. The idea that the Shadow Shard is so fragmented and distorted is a nice analogy to Rularuu's current state of being.

Quote:The difference is, there's no story plot to Tsoo in Steel Canyon. If there was a lone Tsoo, who you had to search for as part of an arc, who gave you an important piece of information about Tsoo lore that you can't get otherwise except than from other players who also got it, it would be a spoiler. Some people think information like 'there are Tsoo in Steel Canyon' are spoilers.
To keep from upsetting any of them we'd have to cease communication altogether. But then someone would be upset by the silence.
We're not talking about no spoiler ever. We're talking about the Title of threads blatantly spoiling information that isn't widely available. A more appropriate thread title would have been "Shadow Shard question - POSSIBLE SPOILERS". It gives warning to all readers that the thread may contain story arc information that they may not want to have spooned to them. -
Quote:Totally agree with this.Bollocks.
Some people don't like spoilers and get upset by them.
If you post spoilers in a careless fashion, you are not considering those people.
That is, one-hundred percent, inconsiderate.
Being inconsiderate is casually dismissing how others feel, and that is precisely what your post was in its entirety.
Some people think facts about stories should be hidden, others feel they should be freely discussed.
Being considerate is a compromise where they're still discussed but a warning is given first.
When I first started, I created an alien, who I gave the back story as an indentured servant to the Rikti, whose entire planet was subjugated by the Rikti. I wasn't aware of the Rikti secret, so I just assumed that they were average, run-of-the-mill aliens. I started playing him, someone read the bio, and so graciously told me what the Rikti really were. The character was ruined for me, so I deleted him.
How can you not consider a blatant spoiler inconsiderate? I can't unread the spoiler until I run that arc; it's forever with me.
A little consideration goes a long way. -
Not sure if the people who frequent the Technical Issues forum come here; you may want to repost this there as well.
And, at first glance, I thought this thread was about a old machine that gave out experience points. -
Wow. Looking at the list, I just realized that the breakdown goes:
1 Support powerset (Time)
1 Ranged powerset (Beam)
1 Control powerset (Darkness)
3 Melee powersets (Street, Titan, Staff)
A little lopsided, hopefully it will balance out over time. -
Land shark costume power?
[Scene: A New York apartment. Someone knocks on the door.]
Woman: [not opening the door] Yes?
Voice: (mumbling) Mrs. Arlsburgerhhh?
Woman: Who?
Voice: (mumbling) Mrs. Johannesburrrr?
Woman: Who is it?
Voice: [pause] Flowers.
Woman: Flowers for whom?
Voice: [long pause] Plumber, ma'am.
Woman: I don't need a plumber. You're that clever shark, aren't you?
Voice: [pause] Candygram.
Woman: Candygram, my foot. You get out of here before I call the police. You're the shark, and you know it.
Voice: Wait. I-I'm only a dolphin, ma'am.
Woman: A dolphin? Well...okay. [opens door]
[Huge latex and foam-rubber shark head lunges through open door, chomps down on woman's head, and drags her out of the apartment, all while the Jaws attack music is playing.] -
Quote:Why did the thread title immediately inspire a Phineas and Ferb sequence in my head?
I vote for a platypus pet the despawns at random!Quote:Seconded, but only if he completes one of your missions when he returns.
Going on this theme, we could have a massive Coralax invasion, with an appearance from the [insert random body part] of the Leviathan! Imagine how the kids would clamor to hear the story of how you took down the Spleen of the Leviathan! -
They just added the Rulu-Shin. While they are associated with Rularuu, they are humans, or so I understood.

Is this quickly becoming Who Won't Die?
I can appreciate a death as a catalysis, but is it really helping the story? I guess I'm a little jaded, as I have issues with comic book deaths. If they actually stayed dead, it might mean something. Just to name a few:
Uncle Ben = still dead
Green Goblin = currently on life #3 I believe
Gwen Stacy = still dead
Bucky = alive
Jason Todd / Robin = alive
Superman = alive
Bruce Wayne / Batman = alive
Steve Rogers / Captain America = alive
Nightcrawler = currently dead, awaiting rez
Thor = currently dead, awaiting rez
Yes, and I know they come up with explanations as to how they are not really dead; it seems cheesy to cause a death to move the story along, only to negate it by bringing them back. -

The first time you run any episode ever you can get your choice of rewards; after that, any rewards gained by additional runs on any episode are limited by the once a week. The rewards table is shared, so if you had already played through them all, and then went again, you could only pick Hero Merits or Astrals or Threads or Rewards Merits once.

Sigh. I understand the whole "it's a business, we need to make money" thing, but really? The Watchmen don't need a sequel and/or prequel. As BlackSun stated, there's already a ton of prequel stuff in the books, and the comic itself ends perfectly. Sure, there is some ambiguity about how the world will proceed, and whether Rorschach's journal will cause things to revert, but I'd much prefer the ambiguity than to have a ham-fisted company spell things out.
It's almost like George Lucas is a board member of DC... -
Quote:Good points. Guess I was trying to say that we could have generic persons 1 & 2 do that plot point, versus Beth and Jimmy. It may not be Tyreese's daughter and boyfriend, but just some other extras brought along to further the story along. While they could do it, I don't think they will with those characters. Simply because it would go against pretty much everything Herschel has (presumably) taught Beth over the course of her life. I'm not talking just since Z-day, but the whole bit. And from what little we've seen of Jimmy, he doesn't seem the type to do it either.
Carol? Ya, I could see her doing it. Possibly even Patricia. It would be best to bring in some new characters that exist only for the purpose of showing that.
Though they might not even have to do it, since we've got the secret from CDC guy.
As far as the knowledge from Jenner, I believe that it would still need to happen to bring out the truth. Rick would more than likely never say anything, unless it happened, and he had to explain it. Otherwise, he'd probably take it to his grave.
